Try not to play too close to wooden furniture. Ouch is all I have to say.
11/26/2006 8:40:17 PM
^^ How do you get to play with 91 pins?
11/26/2006 9:02:36 PM

11/26/2006 9:09:04 PM
i just got a gold medal and didn't cheat i knocked down all but 2 on the end one damnit
11/26/2006 9:54:03 PM
best buy gets their wiis in during the week. they just hold them till sundays. the one in my hometown just dumps the ps3s on the shelf as soon as they come in. the quantities are to small to worry about early openings and advertisement.
11/26/2006 10:09:35 PM
i've got to try out that sneaky cheat when i get home today...ha
11/27/2006 1:28:22 PM
yeah that 91 pin trick is pretty cool....though i did manage to get 90 a couple of times without it
11/27/2006 1:33:20 PM
just got my brother to pick up one in NYC. the nintendo world has them overstocked, apparently they never sold out the first shipment. He just walked in last weekend and pick one up for himself and now I have on on the way
11/27/2006 2:02:09 PM
seriously, will i find another nunchuck or classic controller anytime soon? gahand i cannot wait to hook Wii back up since i've been gone all of thanksgiving!! Yessss
11/27/2006 2:02:29 PM
drive down to Sanford and get one. They had them Saturday night (nunchuks that is). If you have a GC controller, I don't see any reason to buy a classic controller yet. They should've stuck with the name Revolution. Kirk Franklin could be their spokesperson.
11/27/2006 2:17:29 PM
damnit, my Wii came in the mail today but I went to subway and when I came back the mail had already come and now I have to wait until tommorow and go to the post office. Damn you Subway!
11/27/2006 2:57:54 PM
Just called customer service and they just got a new shipment of component cables. Guy on the phone says anyone who ordered before 11/22 should ship in the next few days. [Edited on November 27, 2006 at 3:57 PM. Reason : .]
11/27/2006 3:56:41 PM
i ordered 11/23
11/27/2006 4:28:29 PM
really wish that I would have bought all 4 controllers on launch day when they had them
11/27/2006 5:02:34 PM
^^lol. I ordered the 24th. DAMN.
11/27/2006 5:20:07 PM
i've got credit at gamestop to get a game, but i cant get madden cause i think i'm gettin for christmas. i already have zelda, so i'm not sure what else is worth gettin. any suggestions? i read some stuff about farcry, which comes out dec. 5th. i might wait for it and see what kind of reviews it gets. anybody been keepin up with upcoming releases to know what some better options might be?
11/27/2006 5:42:10 PM
I just got my shipping confirmation on the component cables. ^If you don't have Rayman, I'd go for that. Otherwise, I suggest holding out for Wario Ware in January.
11/27/2006 6:30:15 PM
^^Rayman, Trauma Center
11/27/2006 7:29:31 PM
how fun is rayman?
11/27/2006 10:16:06 PM
rayman and trauma center seem like they'd be better to rent, cause i cant see myself playin em in a couple months. i think i'll probably end up just holdin out.
11/27/2006 10:49:02 PM
11/27/2006 11:30:21 PM

11/28/2006 12:11:46 PM
yeah, i just check mine, and the status is "preparing order" and there is a tracking number, but when i looked it up on the UPS site it said "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request." I guess it'll ship before too long. I feel like Cartman...coomme oooon, coome ooooon

You know, the more I think about it, the more pissed off I get at Nintendo for totally fucking up this launch. How many times have you ever seen a console, ANY console, released without a shit ton of accessories? 3rd party controllers, and accessories. cables and bags and all sorts of stupid shit that you don't want but you buy anyway just because you get caught up in the moment. And what did we get from the Wii Launch? About 1 extra controller for every 3 units sold, Wii branded SD memory cards, those stupid glove things, and some system stands? What gives? Why is this Launch so different from every other console launch in the history of gaming? Where are the Wii branded DVD cases? Where are the component cables and wireless sensor bars? Where are the stupid bags that have a billion pockets in them for carrying every accessory known to man? Hell where are there any 3rd party accessories of any kind? I didn't bother trying to pick up a 2nd controller on Launch day because I never in a million years would have thought that 2 weeks later they would still be impossible to find in the stores. And people are paying $150 on ebay for Component cables that should be $10 in every retail store in America? What happened? Did Nintendo move up the launch so much that no one had time to make any 3rd party accessories? How come Nintendo can't crank out a few hundred thousand controllers? Hell I'd settle for being able to get my hands on a classic controller at this point. Not that I need one, but still. Nintendo needs to realize that they've got tons of people on out here with money in their pockets just looking for things to buy, and nothing to buy. They really dropped the ball on this one./rant//sony still fucked up waaaaay more.///sadly sony will still beat out nintendo in the long run.
11/28/2006 2:20:26 PM
the target closest to me here in charlotte has several different bags for the wii, and some standalone steering wheel addons, as opposed to the ones included with those two lame racing games released at launch. the only style of bag that was sold out was the special zelda one. people must've been all over that impulse buy.
11/28/2006 2:31:43 PM
I would have bought one. I thought about getting a bag anyway. Normally I don't bother with silly stuff like that, but the Wii is small enough (and popular enough with practically everyone) that I've been taking it everywhere I go. Although the Food Lion bag I've been carrying it in thus far seems to be holding up just perfectly.
11/28/2006 2:43:13 PM
i was about to say, who needs to buy a special bag?a food lion/target bag works fine for that thing
11/28/2006 3:15:53 PM
It's not about what I need. It's about finding new and interesting ways to waste my money.
11/28/2006 3:22:51 PM
i went to two walmarts today, and both got in new Wii shipments that they can't release until the 6th or 10th (i got two different dates)the little normal walmart had at least 4 boxes (not game boxes, but brown cardboard boxes that hold probably 5 or more Wiis) so i could imagine the superwallly probably got morealso the small walmart got 2 PS3s in but sold them before i got there
11/28/2006 3:23:40 PM
Damn, El Nacho get ahold of yourself. So there's a shortage of accessories, get the fuck over it. Controllers can be found, I already posted a location to find them, even if it is a bit of a drive. The component cables thing was a fuck-up on Nintendo's end, I'll freely admit to that one. It's a good example of them underestimating the demand for the latest technology. But 3rd party accessories? Seriously? I fully expect a wireless sensor bar to be faulty LIKE 90% OF ALL 3RD PARTY ACCESSORIES. And who the fuck needs a bag?
11/28/2006 3:41:26 PM
Yeah, Nintendo really messed up this launch. They should have gotten on the ball and released tons of peripherals instead of trying to get out as many consoles as possible. What WERE they thinking???Seriously, they are concentrating on making sure as many people get a console as fast as possible. That is what is in their best interest, and ultimately in the best interest of the consumer.
11/28/2006 4:11:28 PM
yeah but they still didn't have as many as they said they would
11/28/2006 4:24:57 PM
11/28/2006 5:06:08 PM
so when can i get one
11/28/2006 5:15:18 PM
11/28/2006 5:58:12 PM
note that the launch of the xbox360 didn't have "tons" of peripherals and all of the ones that were out were microsoft ones. the Sony PS3 launch is the same way.
11/28/2006 6:02:30 PM
I can't get my shit to connect wirelessly to the internet. Anybody else having problems?
11/28/2006 6:38:18 PM
^^I beg to differ. The xbox 360 launch had: -Plenty of controllers available, both 3rd party and 1st party wired and wireless.-Plenty of the rechargeable battery packs, with the charge and play kits.-Plenty of HDD for the core units.-Wireless adaptors (both 1st and 3rd party)-Headsets (both 1st and 3rd party)-Remote controls (both 1st and 3rd party)-Memory cards.Andf I haven't been following the PS3 launch, but I will say at the very least I saw both 1st and 3rd party controllers for sale today. The wii has almost none of these things. And quite literally NO 3rd party support.I wouldn't be surprised if the limiting factor of the manufacturing of Wiis is the controller, seeing as how that's pretty much so the only innovative thing about the Wii, so I'm not too awful surprised we can't get those. But that still doesn't explain the almost TOTAL lack of 3rd party support. Where are the 3rd party component cables? The 3rd party wireless (or longer wired) sensor bars? How about 3rd party controllers? I'm just saying I'm amazed that someone hasn't stepped up to fill the obvious huge void that is there. 600,000 units sold, most of them already in use by actual gamers, and no accessories to speak of? I'm just saying I find it hard to believe is all.]
