Why do we care that guns doesn't want to date fat people? I'm considered a fat person and I don't get hangry when he says shit like that. Don't care. Not everyone is gonna wanna hump everyone else. We can all find our own lovin, sugar. Now, of he said all fat people are worthless piles of shit, well then he's just misinformed. Also, vaaaaaaacaaaaaaatiiiiionnnnnnnnnnnn. In 1 day.

Last week of Beginner's Running. I'm really sad that it's ending and the trainer is rotating with Advanced Fitness (minimal running, more HIIT, weights etc.). I want to continue training with my buddies who are mostly going on to Advanced Fitness, but I'm really not enthused about it. Also, this isn't affiliated with my gym so I have to move heaven and earth to get someone to keep my kids three days a week. I don't know what to do. FWP.Speaking of fatties, I've seen dramatic improvement with running. I finally got out of my fitness slump and trimmed more than 6 inches this summer. Woo! Still a fatty, but a happy fatty.

Most transformations happen in 8 to 12 months. Like you, many people give up because it gets harder. It's not that it's hard, people don't remain consistent long enough to see change. Don't give up.This is over years. It can happen. It just takes good ol' hard work and some will power.[Edited on August 7, 2013 at 11:25 PM. Reason : -]

Thanks for the encouragement, but the advanced fitness doesn't intimidate me (I've already done two previous 9 week sessions). I just don't like it as much as I like the running (this was my first running session and I LOVED IT) and I'm bummed that my trainer and fitness buddies are cycling their training regimen. I'm considering just sticking with my personal training and running on my own and waiting for the next running session.Giving up isn't an option. I've been doing this for almost 18 months and it's by far the best therapy that I've ever had.[Edited on August 7, 2013 at 11:34 PM. Reason : Awesome before and after pictures. I hope you know that you're beautiful in both of them! ]

Why don't you want to do weights and/or HIIT?Right now you're seeing what they call "noob" gains from running. It becomes effortless doesn't it? That's why you like it. Once your body gets used to running over time, your body isn't going to efficiently burn fat from this kind of cardio. You basically plateau. And using your word, you're going to remain a fatty if you don't switch up the routine. Why not give HIIT and weights a try and then you can decide if you don't like it.[Edited on August 7, 2013 at 11:38 PM. Reason : haha wtf, that is not me.]

You sound EXACTLY like my trainer when she convinced me to start running. I had done just that: plateaued and needed to get out of my comfort zone. But that's just it, running isn't easy for me yet and I keep making gains. I want to continue to make those gains instead of cycle off. It's also a PIA for me to arrange childcare once school starts back. And I specifically don't like HIIT/strength training because a lot of those exercises (especially on back/shoulder days) I have to modify. I have a cervical spinal fusion and limited upper body mobility, so I look like a lazy duck doing the modified routine.*sigh* I'm going to end up bullied into doing it anyway.

you should walk instead, bbwalking (as I'm sure you probably already knew) is pretty much just as effective if you go a similar distancestart walking like 2 miles a day or something, and then maybe work upmake sure it's not a really slow pace, but it doesn't have to be extremely fast, eitherunless you have joint troublethen do some water aerobics or somethingit's a really good time of year for walking though, cause it's pretty hot and you're gonna break a sweat and actually feel like you're getting some real exercise - because you are(I didn't read anything about your other maladies so that's why I'm covering the basics here )pretty sure I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know, tho inb4 I come over to greenville and walk with you every other day jk jk ]
8/7/2013 11:58:26 PM
lol BB, walking 2 miles a day would be pretty pointless since I'm currently running 2-3 miles a day.But that's good advice to someone who isn't really active yet.
8/7/2013 11:59:43 PM
aren't you saying it isn't working, though?(am too lazy to read the rest of it - my bad)running is really not good for your knees thoughespecially when you're carrying extra weight (not making a cut towards you, just speaking from personal experience/observations) I see you said "running isn't easy for me yet"it's not easy for anyoneit's not at all good for you in the long run unless you want to eventually have knee replacement surgerywalking is way more effective and way less stressful, and has the exact same benefitsas your personal e-trainer/doctor, I urge you to walk instead of running ]
8/8/2013 12:00:14 AM
No no no. My running group is cycling their workouts from running to "advanced fitness" and I'm just bitching and moaning. Acraw is telling me that running is going to stop working, so I should cycle my training.
8/8/2013 12:01:55 AM
ohI guess it would help if I read thenstillI'd suggest not running :3
8/8/2013 12:02:53 AM
Haha. Come to Greenville BB and I'll get you to run with me. We can start out walk/jogging. I promise.
8/8/2013 12:03:27 AM
