Does anybody know what that ad is for exactly on the radio? It's off Six Forks all weekend beside the Kmart and they are talking about all items (name brands, etc) being up to 80% off. What is this??? lol

DivaBaby19: what is your opinion on the see-through top + colored bra thing that's apparent in the Downtown Raleigh Nightlife Photos
2/17/2012 4:50:33 PM
haha the shirts are only see thru when a camera flash hits themgirls forget they may get photographed when getting dressed....this is why I just have black bras
2/17/2012 4:55:17 PM
whew. OK. thank you for your timely response
2/17/2012 5:01:24 PM
now there's some outliers that think this is cuteand will probably fuck up this sheer shirt trend that's out right nowbut I think most do it by accident

I don't really know what to wear clubbing anymore. I feel too old to be wearing shit from college. But my work clothes look a little too grown up/boring.
2/17/2012 5:08:37 PM
Seem to be the in thing today
2/17/2012 5:35:47 PM
^^ Find work clothes that can double as evening attireFor example, if I'm going straight from work to a nightclub or lounge, then I wear a structured corset top from white house/black market or ann taylor. Cover it with a jacket or cardigan at work, then remove the conservative top layer at night. Wear it with skinny jeans or cigarette pants ... or change pants/skirt after work. There are some pretty sexy corset-style work tops that work great as an underlying shell. Cardigans are your best friend for the seamless transition from day to night.

^ I like the colors! Also I want this, but I cannot afford it
2/19/2012 11:16:48 AM
What are some other sites that have clothes like modcloth.com? I want a fun vintage looking dress for my engagement photos.
2/20/2012 8:48:17 PM
When I goggled "vintage inspired dress" or something like that, http://shopruche.com/ came up. Looks similiar to Mod Cloth. Also in my random googles, I finally checked out boden.com - anyone had any experience with their clothes? They keep advertising in a few of the magazines I read.
2/20/2012 10:23:37 PM
Absolutely love boden. They're highly regarded, great quality and superb customer service. Only downside is overseas shipping time. They are having a warehouse sale in the spring that I am anxiously awaiting.
2/20/2012 10:35:05 PM
^ Doing some googling, aren't they always in PA?
2/20/2012 11:26:22 PM
For those of you that like the Aveda school, there's a zspotlight deal for them. Half price and no "new clients only" restriction like most places. Tried getting red lowlights in my hair and am so glad I went with semi-permanent. No way I could sit through that on a regular basis. I don't know how you ladies do it.

^ I meant the warehouse sales
2/21/2012 3:33:28 PM
Oh, hah! Yes then!

Ok, I will be outside for almost 4 hours a day, 5 days a week weather permitting this spring summer, and the family has their own pool. The doc told me that although I have dark hair my skin is super sensitive, even though I don't burn all the freckles that pop up are no good. So, I need super cute sun hats and SPF rash guard shirts. Where is the best place to look?
2/21/2012 11:36:30 PM
Do you have any sewing skills? I made my own beach hat because I couldn't find anything I liked. It was very very easy. I don't know about cute rash guards but I know you can buy cycling gear with SPF in it. For example you can buy "sleeves" that are SPF infused & put them on or take the, off as needed but you might need more all over protection...
2/22/2012 1:04:22 AM
let me hit my drawers to see what I use for SPF protection....wait...I'm not black if that's what you're asking
2/22/2012 1:09:36 AM
^ 2^I haven't sewed since I was very young, but I wouldn't be against trying. I've found some nice hats on Etsy, but they are a little pricey, and I'd like to have some variety. I'm really just looking for swim shirts, and I'll wear regular swim bottoms. It's my back that is the huge problem. It is covered in huge freckles and many of them apparently have barely noticeable halos around them. I have to go to the dermatologist to have my back mapped, and then I'll go back on a regular basis to check for any changes. So, I'm keeping my back covered this year. No laying out for me.
2/22/2012 9:51:40 AM
Lands End use to be a pretty good spot for rashguards, especially last season. I'm not seeing them this year like I've seen them in the past, but their closeouts and overstock might be a good place to look for them or coverups.

http://amybutlerdesign.com/products/patterns_display.php?id=28Here is a link to the pattern I used. It overstates how much fabric you need but it's only 2 pieces and you sew the triangles together to make the head covering then attach the billI would recommend adding a cord under the chin to keep it on your head when it's windy. I made mine in a rush before leaving on vacation ad the beach was windy, really wished I had an option to keep it on my head without using my hand! You can use any type of fabric really but I used this cool Japanese print. Any cotton blend will dry quickly. If you can sew a curve you can do it!
2/22/2012 12:16:57 PM
hehe, my friend made a hat before a last minute beach trip once and it was adorable

Oh eliselook what I got [Edited on February 22, 2012 at 5:39 PM. Reason : for the vanity searcher in us all]
2/22/2012 5:38:27 PM
can you explain how these things are one size? I hate too big/small undies
2/22/2012 5:40:09 PM
basically all stretchy lace materialand the part that goes around your waist is that laceSome girls are too small to wear them, and of course there are girls too large. They don't cut me in any place so I love them...they just sit comfy on my hips (and don't slice my ass in half)
2/22/2012 5:43:45 PM
Super jealous! I need more. I only have two pair!
2/22/2012 7:30:05 PM

2/22/2012 7:35:38 PM

2/22/2012 7:37:56 PM

2/22/2012 7:54:59 PM

2/22/2012 7:57:21 PM

2/22/2012 7:58:10 PM
(I worked in intimate apparel)gusset was my favorite word to try and say in each sale
