I like how Trump supporters expect us to believe that Ted Cruz tricked 5 women into sleeping with him
3/25/2016 7:24:15 PM
^^ yes it was always completely out of the fucking question. Trump would need a more serious moderate leaning running mate, not Ted Cruz who the GOP establishment dislikes, plus you are deluding yourself wishing Trump is going to need Cruz's delegates. He'll win out cleanly.
3/25/2016 9:47:32 PM
Can someone explain what happens to the delegates for the candidates that have dropped out? For example, do Rubio's delegates stay with him or can they go with whoever remain?
3/30/2016 2:26:14 PM
Expect to see a lot more written on this by journalist types ^ as we get closer to the convention. No quick answer - every state has different requirements re delegates, some states allow them to go to any candidate if no candidate is selected on the first ballot, some states don't bind delegates at all.
3/30/2016 2:30:46 PM
Without going into details, I think that Marco Rubio's delegates would stay with him through the first ballot. If a second ballot is necessary, his delegates would likely go to another candidate or other candidates' delegates could possibly go to him.

Does this DC Madam story has any legs?http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2016/04/04/_d_c_madam_lawyer_goes_to_supreme_court_to_release_escort_phone_records.html[Edited on April 5, 2016 at 11:54 AM. Reason : I can't imagine anything will come of it...]]
4/5/2016 11:50:19 AM
The RNC is planning on shennanigans at the convention, otherwise Kasich would've dropped out over a month ago.
4/5/2016 8:54:55 PM
Trump is losing by 18 points in Wisconsin. That is awful for him without question. It certainly opens that door wider to a contested convention.
4/5/2016 10:53:46 PM
kasich locked up the election tonight
4/5/2016 11:06:00 PM
yah that margin of victory is badddd for Trump, especially since Wisconsin has an open primary, where Trump normally excels.[Edited on April 5, 2016 at 11:08 PM. Reason : Shits about to get weird ]
4/5/2016 11:07:45 PM
Kasich is doing decently. Seems like he's staying on the race to push for a brokered convention. When you look at the non-trump voters, trumps doing pretty badly.
4/6/2016 12:15:17 AM
Kasich will be barred from being considered as the nominee based on current rules unless he racks up wins in 7 or more states - which ain't happenin. If the RNC changes the rules then he has a chance. Otherwise, he's angling for VP consideration, nothing more. I would recommend we not spend anymore time discussing Mr. Kasich since it is time taken away from discussing Sen. Cruz.
4/6/2016 9:06:24 AM
i think you meant "the handsome, indomitable sen. cruz"
4/6/2016 9:40:16 AM
I'm really trying to have faith that theres no way the GOP is going to let Trump be their nominee. There's got to be some backhanded way they can get around it, right?Maybe I've been watching too much House of Cards.
4/6/2016 9:47:47 AM
If he doesn't win out cleanly (which yesterdays loss makes pretty difficult), then expect some shenanigans, and hopefully a 3rd party run by him
4/6/2016 9:49:53 AM
its not shenanigans if he doesn't get 1237. The rules include rewriting the rules.
4/6/2016 11:09:26 AM
I doubt that a third party run would happen (as much as I would love to see him and Sanders run third party) because it would cost Trump a lot of money and I'm not convinced he really wants the job in the first place. Though he is spiteful so I could see him doing it for that very reason.
4/6/2016 12:18:55 PM
kasich leading clinton by a wide margin. I'm putting 500 on him to be president with 16:1 odds right now. It seems obvious to me whats going to happen.[Edited on April 6, 2016 at 3:35 PM. Reason : unless sanders wins nomination]

So a candidate can get Colorado's delegates without a single citizen in Colorado casting a vote? What a joke. This entire election cycle has been one long, drawn out, unfunny joke.
4/11/2016 12:54:47 PM
Between that and the super delegates on the dem side I think this election has been the most crystal clear demonstration of how fucked things really are. The general should be a lot of fun.
4/11/2016 1:26:22 PM
^^ Someone has been reading the Drudge Report methinks. That dang Lyin' Ted did it again!
4/11/2016 1:31:45 PM
^No...it actually happened.
4/11/2016 1:35:05 PM
You mean Colorado is one of the states that doesn't hold a primary and Lyin' Ted is the only one who knew about it? Dang him and his lyin' ways.
4/11/2016 1:38:23 PM
^^^ What's your point? I'm not pro-Trump. I'm not pro-Cruz either.[Edited on April 11, 2016 at 1:49 PM. Reason : ^]
4/11/2016 1:49:34 PM
^lol what? Colorado GOP removed the presidential preference in August. then rigged the selection by only allowing in Cruz delegates. then posted on Twitter "We did it. #NeverTrump."I voted for Sanders at the precinct and county level in CO, I'm just calling this what it is. Bullshit. Id riot if I were a Republican in this state.[Edited on April 11, 2016 at 1:52 PM. Reason : .]
4/11/2016 1:51:53 PM
That tweet did seem a little much. The official Colorado GOP twitter has since retracted and said it was due to unauthorized access to the twitter account.

4/11/2016 2:06:00 PM
Superdelegates are the least of my concerns since they always sway with the popular vote. I'm more concerned about suspicious absentee ballots, voter registration purging, etc that seems to be a major problem on both sides.[Edited on April 11, 2016 at 2:23 PM. Reason : .]
4/11/2016 2:22:13 PM
super-delegates aren't the problem
4/11/2016 2:31:08 PM
Has this been covered yet?http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2016/04/13/ted_cruz_once_argued_that_selling_dildos_should_be_illegal.html
4/13/2016 11:59:25 PM
People need to stop focusing on this garbage Trump says and focus on the the actions taken by Ted Cruz and the moonbat policies he represents.Trump as president could probably be contained. Ted Cruz as president through his ruthless nature, back-stabbing, support for reactionary social policies based on evangelical Christianity, and disdain to compromise will set America back years even decades if he were to appoint some loon to the Supreme Court.
4/14/2016 2:06:51 PM
^ Yeah, I have been saying pretty much the same thing. Its not that I think Trump is better than most of his detractors do. I think he is just as bad as the next anti-Trump person.I believe that Ted Cruz is that much worse.
4/14/2016 2:48:03 PM
The always alluring Sen. Cruz will be on MSNBC tonight for a town hall at 8pm AND on the Tonight Show - two chances in one night to hear from our next president! Set your DVR's!!
4/14/2016 4:10:37 PM
Cool. Hopefully your mancrush gets asked if U.S. resident have the right “to stimulate one’s genitals for non-medical purposes unrelated to procreation or outside of an interpersonal relationship.”*crosses fingers*]
4/14/2016 5:29:38 PM
I can't believe it's down to these two, as undemocractic as it would have been I was really hoping Paul Ryan would have taken over in a contested convention and I don't even like Paul Ryan. I can't get on board with Trump and Cruz would be terrible. Not that it matters, we simply have the illusion of choice.
4/14/2016 7:25:47 PM
trump's speech about the rigged system really resonates with me. he's dead on and even brings up the dnc. something like "bernie is winning winning winning but then you turn on the tv and experts are saying he can't win he can't win because the party bosses pick who gets to run and the american people want their voice to be heard"

gah, what a trainwreck. I'm hoping this election leads to the complete and total implosion of the GOP, which is then replaced by a similarly fiscally-conservative party which emerges, but without the damned lunacy of the religious right. Bonus points if the GOP fractures into two parties, one of which has a fiscally conservative and socially liberal ideology. At a bare minimum, give me a party which actually gives a damn about civil liberties.
4/19/2016 6:15:48 PM
there is already a party that cares about civil liberties, and the Republican party hasn't been fiscally conservative since before you were in diapers
4/19/2016 7:35:50 PM
I'm voting in Indiana in 2 weeks, and at this point I think I'll vote for Kasich.

Has anyone else noticed that Ted Cruz has started to wear a lot of makeup for his appearances? He really over did it, it looks creepy
4/22/2016 10:44:44 AM
I still believe he's the next Ronald Reagan, who ended the cold war and tore down Berlin Wall.[Edited on April 22, 2016 at 11:06 AM. Reason : still believe]
4/22/2016 10:54:05 AM
Ted Cruz has one of the most punchable faces I've ever seen.

Don't you think that's cute?
