^^you really think wade will get a 60 mil contract? if pat riley is dumb enough to do that it will be a detriment, plus they might want to just tank as much as possible at this point[Edited on July 11, 2014 at 2:54 PM. Reason : k]

I'm surprised Miami fans care enough to paint over his face
7/11/2014 3:13:26 PM
When did Spoelstra have a mustache?
7/11/2014 3:20:41 PM
If the Cavs are smart they will deal away Wiggins for Love...Wiggins is totally unproven. And the Heat can do some pretty good moving to get some quality pieces...never doubt Riley. Also, if Melo goes to the Bulls they become the #1 contender in the East.Lebron a Cav...ehhh...doesn't intrigue me as much as I thought it might

^^Yeh, I assume CLE will go back & forth with MIN as long as they can with a deal centered around Thompson, Waiters future picks & Bennett if MIN likes him at all with MIN insisting on getting Wiggins & CLE finally buckling & including himAlso, I read earlier this week that Haywood's deal (even though he's only making $2M this season) has a $10M player option next season with non of it guaranteed, but it would allow them to trade him for a player making ~$10M. So at next year's draft, they can conceivably make a trade for another good player without moving other current pieces of their team[Edited on July 11, 2014 at 4:38 PM. Reason : tarhole]
7/11/2014 4:34:41 PM
You gotta give Wiggins up if it means getting Love. He's a top 5-10 RIGHT NOW. Wiggins has that potential...but even if he gets that high, it will take him at least 5 years. His offensive game is pretty far off. And Love is still pretty young. That trio of Lebron/Love/Kyrie would be pretty fucking nasty.
7/11/2014 4:36:58 PM
Yeah, definitely worth giving up Wiggins if it means they can get Love right now. Sure, they could potentially have both in a year, but who knows what will happen between now and then. That trio goes to the ECF next year.[Edited on July 11, 2014 at 4:50 PM. Reason : :]

I'm in fucking cloud 9 over here
7/11/2014 9:16:15 PM
You guys are forgetting the offensive and defensive chemistry the heat have had the last 2 to 3 years. It was a thing of beauty only second to the spurs. Cleveland certainly wont have that this year and maybe never. Love is a bitch if he goes to fucking cleveland when he can buold a championship team anywhere. Id l9ve to see miami reup and put a team together. Everyone is a fa so tight now they have cole shabazz and bosh. Bosh will go back to the player he was in toronto.
7/12/2014 12:16:18 AM
why is vince carter still a FA. he could be a perfect fit on the heat for 2 years to end his career. i don't think he was even being paid that much in dallas.
7/12/2014 12:26:15 AM
aaaaand the Grizzlies picked him up.
7/12/2014 3:17:10 AM
This move shows that Lebron cares about his legacy in Ohio over career achievements, and that's just fine. He won't get to six in Cleveland, but he will deliver a championship to them at some point. At the end of his career he'll go down as the most beloved figure in Cleveland sports history and to him that's the greatest honor I believe. It goes right along with him being the most unselfish superstar in the history of the NBA.You know down the road he'll own the Cavs one day too.
7/12/2014 8:11:24 AM
My understanding is that he is influenced by Jordan and goes back to his hometown after he is successful in a big city/market as well.Jeremy Lin goes to LA now. Houston sent him away but didn't land bosh. [Edited on July 12, 2014 at 8:23 AM. Reason : ;]
7/12/2014 8:22:08 AM
Nah I think it is a career move. He wouldnt be going to cleveland if they were shitty. They have the best young 1 and 2 in the league and more room to grow. They are basically the thunder years ago with like 4 top picks on the team now.
7/12/2014 8:53:54 AM
That's one aspect. I agree that they are just like thunder or spurs. It's a growing small market.Jordan won't come back too if Charlotte is not the 2nd financial center of US.
7/12/2014 9:12:54 AM
i wonder if lebron is gonna bring back the pre-game chalk toss move now
7/12/2014 9:20:57 AM
Yesterday is a big day for NBA, maybe even for global basketball market. Lebron, Bosh and Jeremy Lin seal their deals in one day.
7/12/2014 9:33:25 AM
melo's decision just became more difficult. take bountiful money to be a celebrity in NYC or....
7/12/2014 10:34:21 AM
You forgot Gasol
7/12/2014 11:37:21 AM
I'm not putting a dime on a team with Rose being a focal point.
7/12/2014 11:42:42 AM
If you've got Gasol and Melo he won't be the focal point
7/12/2014 11:49:35 AM
He'll be A focal point.
7/12/2014 12:21:08 PM
gasol AND melo? that would be a squad of the century. although i think melo would be a better fit because the bulls need someone who can actually score versus another low post presence in gasol. already have joakim noah who is arguably the best center in the NBA. its a hard team to gauge these days since neither of rose's knees are willing to play ball in the same season.
7/12/2014 1:04:52 PM
Wade throws that scenario off...I think they are trying to pair Gasol and Wade together with the team they already have.If that happens then that means Melo is staying in NYC, obviously.still thats a pretty dangerous team in Chicago without Melo...but that lineup with him is stellar.I'm really interested in who Riley brings in...you know he is kind of pushing Wade to head to Chicago.
7/12/2014 2:08:10 PM
Done deal. Melo stays in NYC
7/12/2014 2:15:07 PM
I'm interested to see what the future Jeremy Lin is gonna have in Lakers. Kobe is gonna retire. Gasol leaves. Nash is old. So it can be his team now.
7/12/2014 2:19:21 PM
Monroe and Bledsoe are the really interesting ones left...other than Gasol & Wade, but we mentioned them.
7/12/2014 2:41:30 PM
Lin might want to learn to shoot and play defense before he worries about being a star
7/12/2014 2:58:13 PM
7/12/2014 3:05:46 PM
Lin still has a long way to go.
7/12/2014 3:12:52 PM
looks like melo staying with the knicks (as he should)give it 2 years, and it will be knicks/cavs butting heads for the eastern conference bid to the finals.
