Spoiled? I doubt that. Flying Southwest is really tough. When I'm sitting in first class on my Delta flights from free upgrades sipping on my free cocktails and getting free meals I'll be thinking about you with all those infrequent flyers.

- Plus you get 2 points/dollar for dining and travel with Chase and that transfers to United, Southwest, and Delta. Plus you get 20% off your point redemption if you book through Chase. I think that review I posted earlier puts that at 2.1 cent/pt. Or am I missing what you guys are talking about?

Hah, I guess I meant spoiled in the fact I, nor anyone I've dated has paid for a flight in years. On the plus side I have lounge access in a bunch of places, so I'm usually feeling pretty good come flight time.

Just came back from EU vis Lufthansa. Sat in coach, and got free meals for all the flights, free booze, and hot towels. Also, had my own entertainment device with tons of new movies and a usb plug to charge my phone. Wish an airline in the states provided such things.

I think you are talking about chase URs vs the credit card bonus we were discussing which was strictly for delta miles.

^the Airbus i just flew back on from Barcelona via US Airways had meals, complimentary wine, in-seat entertainment for coach, and USB device charging.

So my Barclay Arrival World Elite MC with chip+pin technology was rejected everywhere in Spain. Even though it was activated, used in the US multiple times, pin set up correctly, and notified the card company that I was travelling abroad. Thankfully i had my Chase SP which worked flawlessly. That being said, i got the Arrival specifically for this trip to use and quickly meet the bonus. They know i had problems, but couldn't do anything about it while I was travelling and told me to call when i got home. What should I try to get out of them when i call to issue my major complaint? I probably spent half, if not more, of my spending requirements.

Gotcha. Last over seas flight I had in business class:

Included my own Bose headphones, Tumi goodie bag (socks, tooth brush, eye pad thingy, etc, etc). Plus like a 5 course meal.

I think all international flights have free wine/beer and food even in coach. At least with Delta they do. Plus all modern planes have charging ports.

Simply saying getting free upgrades to business/first on Delta is entirely worth it.

"All good things have to end…
With a hat tip to View from the Wing (via the tastefully-named Dans Deals), it looks like Amazon Payments will be eliminating the ability to send money person to person starting on October 13th.
Amazon Payments was an easy way to manufacture spending – good for a free $1000 each month (per person). I think the best thing about it was the fact that it was an easy way to explain the concept of manufactured spending to people, as well as a great way for newbies to get started without having to know too much
They have recently updated their terms and conditions (HT: Dans Deals)
“Additionally, we have updated the terms and conditions of our User Agreement (https://payments.amazon.com/help/Personal-Accounts/User-Agreement-Policies/User-Agreement) that apply to your use of the products and services provided by Amazon Payments. Our updated User Agreement revises certain terms (including, among other things, the elimination of person-to-person payments). Our new User Agreement will become effective on October 13, 2014, which is more than 30 days from when we first posted our updated User Agreement. By continuing to use our services after October 13, 2014, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of our new User Agreement.”
dollarcoinYou’ll be able to spend your $1000 for September (what? You haven’t done that yet?) as well as October (assuming you do it before the 12th), but that will be it.
Ah well, just like the mint, all good things will end, and creative people will find new ways to meet spending targets."

^ did you have to wait after cancelling your Bluebird to get a Serve? My mom still has Verizon so think I'll steal her phone this weekend to create an account through the ISIS(Softcard) app just to get the $1500/mo load instead of $1000.

Yes. Guess I'm stuck with 1K load.
Waited like 5 min, but def need to cancel first
Do I just need the app to create an account, or do all the loads have to be done via phone?

Not 100% sure. Read somewhere that the account needed to be created within the app to get the extra $500/mo but haven't seen anywhere where it explicitly says you need to load it from the app. Guess I'll find out tonight. The daily limit of $200 ($500 with ISIS) seems annoying too.

Looks like the loads are still limited to $200/day and $1k/mo even when trying to add through the ISIS app or the web. Did read somewhere that you don't get the full limit until you activate the physical card so guess it's a wait and see.

"Until you get the actual S-I card in the mail, you are limited to $200 load per day via CC. Soon as you get your card and activate it, you can load $500. If you can't load, just call CPS with the toll number on the screen and they usually ask you to upload some docs to verify your identity and that the cards you're loading are in your name. 5 minutes after they verify your docs, you'll be able to load w/o a problem.

You don't need the app anymore once you're registered with S-I, you can load using your desktop/laptop."

That's what some are doing that don't have an ISIS compatible phone. I'm waiting until the card gets here so I can make sure the $500/$1500 loads show up on the web. Also their emails are a bit out of date.

At the bottom of same email

If you already have a Serve card, you'll need to cancel it and sign up through ISIS for a new account to get the extra load amounts. Then you wait for the new card to come in the mail. Think it's a joint branded Serve-ISIS card and not the usual one.

Eugh. Life is hard. FWP. :-(
For anyone else interested

Quote :
"I just did the switch from Serve to Serve with Isis today. Here are some details.

Preparations:
Bought an Optimus F6, activated a $3 pay-by-day prepaid plan on t-mobile.com and got a secure SIM from a T-mobile store.
Downloaded ISIS app from play store.
Zeroed old account and saved all statements.

Today:
Logged in to serve.com and closed old account.
Opened the ISIS app and signed up an account*.
Note: I was stupid enough not to use a referral link that would give $10 each to the referrer and the referee (if you need an ISIS referral, PM me).
Applied for a Serve card via the ISIS app. Used old information, except (i) phone number set as "home" and not "mobile"; and (ii) swapped digits in SSN by mistake. Got the "pending for review, you'll get an email" message. Same message when logging in to serve.com.
Called Serve (number in wiki) and asked how can I help them verify my account. After verifying me**, I was told to upload verifying documents to https://secure.serve.com/user/SecureFileUpload and call back. Possibly can avoid this phone call by uploading the documents beforehand.
Uploaded SSN card and DL photos and called again. CSR examined these and approved my account immediately.
Logged in to serve.com, there's already $25 credit. Linked debit and credit card; it seems that I can load online, but I didn't try. Limits are still $200/$1000. Hope this change soon.
Linked Serve card to ISIS via the app*.
Special offer from Coca Cola: 90 MCR points. You get an email with a loyalty card number (636...) that you can link to your MCR account. These are worth 3 free drinks, but it's better to get free drinks via the Serve $1 back promotion

To Do (in 7-10 business days, after physical card arrives):
Need activated card to view account number for DD, bill pay, or withdraw to bank.
Need card number to load GDMP or to connect twitter for Amex Sync offers.
Swipe it at WM

Going to try paying at CVS and at a Coke vending machine now.

* This step requires you to have a working T-mobile data connection. No WiFi.
** When asked, I used the real last 4 digits of SSN."

It's the Google Wallet competitor that Verizon, AT&T and TMobile are using. They're in the process of changing the name to Softcard though since the ISIS name doesn't exactly give people a warm fuzzy feeling.

Got my card last week and have successfully loaded the $500 from a CC so I'm good to go even though my account still says I have a $200 per day limit. Working on the direct deposit bonus now.

How is everybody going to get their money out of Serve? I just paid a different credit card bill than the one I loaded.
