Turner and Bowe are must starts.I have to pick Redman or Green-Ellis or Stewart for RB2 (one could be a flex).Manningham or Jacoby Jones or Floyd for WR2 (one could be a flex).Pick one RB,one WR, and one flex.
10/7/2011 6:55:47 AM
If Mendenhall is out, I'd go with Redman, Stewart and Floyd.. Not sure I trust Manningham.Pick 1:Reggie Wayne v KCDavid Nelson v Phily(standard scoring)Never thought that I'd have a toss-up between Reggie Wayne and the Bills slot receiver
10/7/2011 9:06:36 AM
Wayne still gets targeted often, I'd be terribly difficult for me to bench him in favor of Nelson.Guy in my league has Rodgers/Newton as QBs, so I am thinking about trying to pry away Newton (I have Bradford and Dalton as QBs ). I am 3-1 so far with a crap QB situation, and I know Bradford's schedule is very favorable later in the season. How much do you think Newton is worth? I have McFadden and Megatron, and they definitely won't be a part of any Newton trade. So the parts I have left are Williams (TB), Greene, D. Thomas, L. Moore, Hernandez, Cook, Hardesty and Ridley. Which player (or players) should I use to try and pry away Newton? Or should I just stay put with Bradford?[Edited on October 7, 2011 at 9:55 AM. Reason : ]

^^ i would also go wayne. kc gives up a lot of pass yards and indy will likely have to throw to convert in a close game.what do you guys think about this trade, non-ppr:i give darren sproles, i get jordy nelson.WR2 on a throw happy team, and i need a replacement for AJ until he comes back.. i think its a fair trade all around but is there any reason not to trade sproles? thx.
10/7/2011 9:59:27 AM
^Who are your other WRs and RBs?Should I start Frank Gore vs Bucs or LeGarrette Blount vs 49ers this week?
10/7/2011 12:26:09 PM
That's tough, but I would probably go with Gore since the Niners do have the #1 ranked run D, and he has some momentium coming off last week's performance.Pick 2:Ingram @ PanthersBlount @ 49ersDecker vs. Chargers[Edited on October 7, 2011 at 2:53 PM. Reason : c]
10/7/2011 2:51:49 PM
Ingram and Decker...especially if you get return yards.Blount and Ingram could be a coin toss really...Pick oneSanchez vs NEor Kolb vs MINPick oneDenarius Moore vs Houor Stevan Ridley vs NYJ
10/7/2011 3:00:55 PM
@Matlock - I actually like Blount and Decker despite the Niner's D.SF has played SEA (horrible and no running game), DAL (injured and no running game), CIN (decent running game in a pass first offense), and PHI (good team struggling to figure out defense miscues). Ingram hasn't really earned that spot just yet and I have a feeling they are going to be throwing the ball a lot. Blount is going to get 20 touches at least. Ingram won't.@Steven - Sanchez simply because NE's defense is not great and if Buffalo can throw all over them, so can NYJ.Moore vs Ridley is a tossup to me. Ridley may or may not get 10 touches. Moore is on the Raiders and has less upside than Ridley BUT Campbell looks for him in the redzone. I'd lean more towards Moore for that reason but it is pretty close.Ok my turn. I've got to get a win this week. Here is what I'm thinking for my starting lineup:QB - Cam Newton vs NOWR - V. Jax vs DEN (not 100%)WR - AJ Green vs JAXRB - M. Turner vs GBRB - A. Bradshaw vs SEATE - O. Daniels vs OAKFLX - D. Bowe vs INDD - PHILLY vs BUFBN - B. Tate vs OAKBN - S. Johnson vs PHIBN - J. Stewart vs NOBN - J. Addai vs KCBN - A. Hernandez vs NYJBN - N. Washington vs PITBN - P. Rivers vs DENWhat do you think? I'm worried that ATL is going to get run over quickly and abandon M. Turner. VJax is nursing some kind of leg/abdomen injury and left the game last week in the 3rd quarter because of it. I hate benching PRIV but Cam's game could be a shootout and SD has openly said that they are trying to increase Matthew's touches.[Edited on October 7, 2011 at 4:13 PM. Reason : proof reading good]
10/7/2011 4:12:12 PM
Looks good to me considering your options. The only thing I might change would be Johson in for V. Jackson, but I think that is a coin flip. Pulling Turner to put Addai in doesn't seem like a good move either. Addai is hit or miss even with Manning in, and he is way more miss than hit with Manning out.
10/7/2011 4:16:28 PM
If I pulled Turner, it would be for Stewart. He has consistently outrun Deangelo and is a great PPR option for Cam.
10/7/2011 4:19:09 PM
Ah, I missed that. That might not be a bad play since he has also been involved in the passing game a lot more recently. You would tend to think that vs. NO they are going to want to throw a lot, so that may also be a coin flip, Turner or Stewart I mean. Also, didn't realize it was a ppr league, Stewart is going to get more receptions (I would think) than Turner.[Edited on October 7, 2011 at 4:22 PM. 10/7/2011 4:45:41 PM
Desean Jackson or Brandon Lloyd?Kinda Leaning towards Jackson since it might be a shootout.
10/7/2011 5:37:52 PM
Agreed
10/7/2011 5:58:12 PM
^^ Jackson - must win for Eagles, so expect them to get him the ballFinley vs. ATL or Olsen vs. NO? Non-PPR league
10/7/2011 6:36:31 PM
^ Finley - no doubt
10/7/2011 8:18:14 PM
Owen Daniels v Oaklandor Tony Gonzalez v GB
10/7/2011 8:50:58 PM
^Owen Daniels v OaklandI have a trade offer in a keeper league:Send Roddy White, Atl WR Send Colt McCoy, Cle QB andReceive Matthew Stafford, Det QB Receive Nate Washington, Ten WR I am really weak at RB and my other QB is Matt Schaub. I am interested in Stafford, but I am sure I would only use him to get a RB, and I'm not sold on Washington as being a good receiver seeing how the Titans only threw the ball 20 times last week. Do I take this trade or let it walk?
10/7/2011 10:16:24 PM
Okay so I'm offering a trade (in a deep league) for Calvin Johnson + Tony Romo for Rodgers, Brady, and I'm even considering offering the trade for Cam Newton..Am I crazy to do this? or would I be getting a deal for it?I hate Romo.. every week it's like he's listed as Questionable and then he scores 30 points or the next week he has no markers and he scores 10. Should I just stick with what I have? It's a 3 WR league, so Calvin is a big trade, but I also have Stevie Johnson, Mike Williams (possibly.. could he score some points?), and Denarius Moore.Romo is my only decent QB.. other than that I'm forced to pick from the bottom of the pile each week if I want to try and get anyone to sub in for him.[Edited on October 8, 2011 at 12:12 AM. Reason : and my RBs are solid with Rice and Gore]
10/8/2011 12:10:53 AM
Pick 2:Mario Manningham vs SeattleJacoby Jones vs. OaklandMike Thomas vs CincinnatiBrandon Lloyd is my other receiver and he obviously gets the nod.
10/8/2011 12:35:54 AM
^^^ why not just send rosy for a keeper rb?^^ that's a tough one...how many points does a qb in your league get per touchdown?^ jones could have a big day, but he could do nothing, I'd sit him for the other two guys, but you could chance it if you got a good feeling about him (he's on the bench behind thomas on my team this week)
10/8/2011 8:35:36 AM
Pick 1-Stevan Ridley vs NYJCedric Benson @ jacI'm tired of relying on Bensons lackluster ass and kinda want to give Ridley a shot against a jets run defense that isnt very good this year
10/8/2011 9:16:37 AM
Benson
10/8/2011 9:17:56 AM
Youre high on love, I'm going with Ridley
10/8/2011 9:19:29 AM
4^Got a few changes to the default rules, so it's +0.5 per completion, -0.5 per incompletion, 6 per TD, -2 per interception, 25 per passing yard.I've gotten burned two weeks in a row by the QB position scoring 10-12ish points.. in a league where Brady and Rodgers are putting up 40-50 bombs and most decent QBs are putting up almost 25 a week.
10/8/2011 9:41:33 AM
lolBJGE is still gonna get the majority of the rushes (at worst, 50%), and last week they were playing the Raiders who are one of the easiest teams to rush on. Granted, the Jets arent great against the rush, but the raiders are a team everyone wants to run against. I'd still go benson, because he should be getting plenty of chances against the turrible jaguars
10/8/2011 9:44:34 AM
does anyone think Torrey Smith (BAL, WR) or Ochocinco are going to do anything again?Need to drop one of them for either Devery Henderson or Donald Driver. Not sure who to take there either.
10/8/2011 12:42:19 PM
I think Torrey Smith will have some upside later this season. I picked him up. He got shut down against the Jets and has a bye this week, but he has immense speed and talent on a team where the top receivers have injury.I'd say that you could be safe to drop him since he's a little bit of a sleeper
10/8/2011 12:55:52 PM
^^I would give Henderson a slight edge over Driver in standard leagues, but if it was ppr I would go with Driver.Stafford vs. ChicagoorRivers @ Denver
10/8/2011 8:21:15 PM
Tough one, I wouls ride the hot hand and go with Stafford.Pick 1 (non ppr)-Ryan Mathews @ DenBeanie Wells @ min
10/8/2011 8:47:26 PM
I'd go Wells.Pick 1 RB, 1 Flex, 1 WRJ. BestL. BlountP. HarvinAJ GreenM. Colston
10/9/2011 12:27:48 AM
I would roll Best, Blount, Colston (I also roll the best blunts)Redman or Ladainian?
10/9/2011 3:18:01 AM
I'd go with Redman, which ties into my question:It's looking like Mendenall will be limited at best (if even available), which takes 1 of my backs out for the week. So, which 2 RBs should I go with:Shonn Greene vs NERyan Grant vs ATLJonathan Stewart vs NO
10/9/2011 9:03:39 AM
I just don't like the Grant play... if he plays, it will be at best split time, but they are liking what they see out of starks... So I'd go for the other 2.WR3 spot (injuries and byes are a bitch):MeachemCrabtreeMike Thomas (Jax)return yards count, but that doesn't really matter in this instance, NON-PPRWR3 Spot in another league, same scoring:AJ Green (currently in)Nate WashingtonDeon Branch
10/9/2011 9:38:26 AM
personally, I'd keep AJ in....and go with Meacham (if he has a huge game, that means Brees has a huge game and that makes me happy)I need help with my defense: SF against Tampa or Tennessee against Pittsburgh [Edited on October 9, 2011 at 10:07 AM. Reason : s]
10/9/2011 10:06:26 AM
Sproles, Turner, Bensonpick 1
10/9/2011 10:13:39 AM
^^Pittsburgh's offense is in shambles, and tennessee is an awesome fantasy defense. I'd go with them^follow the rules!!! (and I'd go probably Sproles, but could easily play turner too... but definitely not Benson)[Edited on October 9, 2011 at 10:23 AM. Reason : b]

^trade one
10/9/2011 11:39:44 AM
if the Panthers are playing a good team, play Cam
10/9/2011 11:47:04 AM
I'm in the same boat so I'm giving Cam the start.I'm more concerned about my wr/RB situation.Start 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 flexAJ Green vs JAXV Jax vs DenS. Johnson vs PhiD. Bowe vs IndJ. Stewart vs NOM. Turner vs GB (this one makes me nervous)Addai vs KC This is a ppr league[Edited on October 9, 2011 at 11:49 AM. Reason : .][Edited on October 9, 2011 at 11:50 AM. Where the hell is everyone??!?!
10/9/2011 12:20:45 PM
V. Jax, Stevie, Stewart, and Turner.I think you have already answered this, but I need a tie-breaker:Blount or Ingram????
10/9/2011 12:24:02 PM
Blount
10/9/2011 12:29:22 PM
10/9/2011 12:29:38 PM
^^Yeah, I got you down for that vote, I need a third opinion on Blount or Ingram, or a list of references.
