I think the point that Nate got hurt is when he had a guy wrapped up and Bishops helmet hit him right on the wrist/forearm area.

Hope he's ok, but its definitely better than a ligament, achilles tendon, etc as we've had in the past. He might have to wear a club on it next week...but I can't see him not playing short of having to amputate

Here are the current standings.

ATLANTIC...............CONF...OVR
Florida State.............4-1...6-2
NC State..................3-1...6-2
Maryland..................2-1...5-2
Clemson...................2-2...4-3
Wake Forest.............1-3...2-5
Boston College..........0-4...2-5

Here are this Saturday's upcoming Atlantic Div games:
Clemson @ Boston College
Wake Forest @ Maryland

It will be hard for me not to root for BC and Wake to pull off the upsets to help separate us from the pack.

Haha why would that be hard?

Pretty easy for me to go for BC/Wake this weekend. Only two teams I'd have a really hard time pulling for are UNC and Maryland.

Agreed, I'll cheer for BC and Wake without a second thought this weekend. I may even not cheer against UNC next weekend when they play FSU.

Hey now, it's one thing to cheer for BC and Wake. Sure they're technically "rivals" but I can't think of any good reason to have bad blood against their football teams (WF's bball team, however, is a bunch of business givers), but let's not go overboard and start not cheering against UNC.

Gotta keep things in perspective people.

Yeah that Carolina game will be a win-win either carolina loses or they set it up so we can afford to blow a game down the stretch.

unmentioned play of the game to me: Earl Wolff's finger tip jersey tackle that saved a TD a few plays before "the fumble".

That was pretty impressive, I was kinda amazed that he was able to hold on as long as he did while the jersey stretched out at least a yard.

I'm still pumped from the game last night sooo glad I got last second tickets and they were amazing seats. One of the things Ill remember from this victory was at the end the whole stadium dancing to "All I Do Is Win" that was actually really fucking awesome it didnt matter how young or old or non dancing people were every single person I saw was dancing and celebrating. Wish I had thought to pull out the phone and snap a video.

that was a good one. Very impressive that he had the arm strength to hold on that long.

Another good play: on the FSU reverse, Irving cut back towards the reverse BEFORE Ponder tossed it and put himself in great position to make the tackle. They showed it on instant replay. Unbelievable vision/anticipation.

wasn't Wolfe the guy that got drug 15 yards down the field by the VT RB last year? Dude has been like a different player this year, he was always in position to make plays but this year he is actually tackling fairly well, lots of potential there

Honestly, they need to move him back to defense. I heard he was playing really well at CB this spring before the move ... we could certainly use a tough CB out there that likes to hit.

^^^^ To be fair, Wolfe was also the guy that was seriously out of position on Ponder's TD pass at the end of the 1st half.

The play of the game for me was the tackle by CJ Wilson on Ponder when it was 21-21 and like 3rd and 4 on our 20 or so. Comes up field and just makes a great tackle, if he is a bit slower to react could be a first down, and if he misses the tackle could even have been a td.

Just thought that was a big time play by a young CB.

what an absolutely epic game, I'm paying for it today, but so glad I was out there. I've been to probably 75% of the home games over the last 8 years and I think last night was the loudest I've ever heard Carter-Finley

someone in here posted something about FSU getting jobbed by the refs, it seemed to me that we got screwed, especially during the drive where the refs missed the face mask and horse-collar tackle calls. I know it doesnt matter, but I always wonder how people watching the game on tv saw those plays, and if the commentators said anything about it. The crowd was PISSED about the facemask especially

Wilson was running away from the camera angle IIRC, so it was hard to see if there was a facemask. Looked a little rough to me, but I didn't see a blatant facemask. You could definitely hear the crowd booing though.

The commentators said something about it, just sort-of in passing. No replays were shown.

If we got that facemask call...the very next play, which was a catch by one of the WRs, would have been in the END ZONE, and not on the 4 or whatever, which led to the RW INT.

That call was just so fucking obvious. The ref was in between me and the facemask, and if I could see that sucker from 40 yards away, there is no reason he couldn't see it from 10. I was greatly pleased that they showed the replay on a controversial call for once, though. Usually they stay away from it at both football and basketball games.

Also, I got front row seats to see the magic last night. I was there early to put out t-shirts in the student section, and just ended up staying in the stadium, and the athletic people just bumped me up to GA in section 7/8, so by the time doors opened, I was already comfortably in my seat

Didn't take any during the game, but:

I couldn't tell if it was a facemask or not but the horse collar was blatant. Terrible no call.

The only plays they don't show are the ones under review, and if one of our players fucks up really bad. They never miss an opportunity to fire the crowd up on a bad call/no call.

Ran into Debbie Yow exiting the stadium... I cheered with her happily for 20 seconds while we moved through the herds and got an encouraging squeeze on my shoulder before she ducked out to the Murphy Center. She is definitely one of us - I could see that she shares true state fan joy along with the rest of us!

lol @ SFN comments about the music in the stadium

they make an obvious shift from 95% band to more like 70%ish band and they can't stop bitching, and that it's too loud. they finally upgraded the speakers this year, in years past you couldn't even hear the intro music

me and the wife definitely noticed that they only played "Red and White" like once or twice during the game

the also should play the Apache song more than just at the end of the game. The entire student section and band - along with a spattering of alumni - were doing the dance. They should start out the 3rd quarter with that to get the crowd pumped

also, whatever song the band plays after the alma mater, before kickoff, needs to be removed. Its that carnival sounding song, it sounds so cheesy and generic

Why? Anyone in your division is called a divisional rival, same as how teams in your conference are "conference rivals."

That said, can any really muster up any good old hatred for BC or Wake? Especially when compared with Clemson, FSU, or Maryland?

^^ no, not everyone in your conference is a rival of yours.

BUT LET'S SAY THEY ARE: you're talking about games w/in the conference, so that's irrelevant.
