Little Hump might be the perfect spring session beer ever! so good. it was a perfect compliment to a game of Polish Horseshoes yesterday afternoon
3/13/2011 3:53:45 PM
egyeyes if you come to Charlotte there's a store near me that has 5 or 6 different varieties of mocha stout, all good stuff.
3/13/2011 5:56:30 PM
Picked up a six pack of this over the weekend:not mind-blowing or anything, but pretty tasty for $8.99 a sixer.
3/13/2011 11:08:38 PM
I'm just drinking Shock Top right now.
3/13/2011 11:10:25 PM
ProsperoEver done any brewery tours in your area? Or are there any you think are worth a visit, with or without a tour? I'll be visiting a friend this weekend and we might try to make it to one...Great Divide, Oskar Blues, Avery, and New Belgium seem attractive. Coors looks like it might be an impressive place, but of course we'd be drinking Coors...Falling Rock seems like a definite as well. Will probably fill in our remaining time with hiking, eating, and such.[Edited on March 14, 2011 at 12:09 AM. Reason : ']

Yea, I've been to Avery, Tommyknocker, Coors, Great Divide, Oskar Blues, Twisted Pine, Dry DockGreat Divide is a must, you can walk in and do a tour at the top of the hour, it's short, maybe 30 minutes, but the guy Colin there does a great job explaining things in depth. I'm pretty sure so long as they aren't brewing or bottling you can ask to just walk around in the back. Tours are free and you get 4 free 4oz. samples of beer while you're here.Coors is like -- here's your headset, nice seeing ya, and pretty much self-guided with windows into some of their operation areas. At the end you get 3 free drinks though, but yea, it's Coors, Coors Light, and Blue Moon, I think they may have "extra cold" Coors Light as well as maybe Molson? (can't really remember it much). It's impressive in size, but I think you'd get more out of going to the small craft breweries and asking questions, etc. If you go to Golden, go here - http://www.gcbrewery.com/Fallingrock is a must (bar, not brewery, but has a lot of the local beers like Bull & Bush, Dry Dock, they also have Pliny the Elder), it's also like 2 blocks from Breckenridge. FreshCraft, Euclid Hall are good too (in LoDo as well). You really can't go wrong. Pretty much every restaurant in downtown Denver has 30-60+ craft beer taps. Even the chains, Old Chicago, Yard House, Mellow Mushroom all have like 60+.Ok, so here's my list of goto brewery tours:1) Great Divide (Denver, there's also Wynkoop, Breckenridge downtown)2) Avery & Boulder Beer (Boulder)3) Oskar Blues & Left Hand (Longmont)4) New Belgium, Odells, Fort Collins Brewery (Fort Collins)In that order, also from closest to farthest away from Denver. There's also this deal for $55, not sure if it would qualify for next weekend or not:http://www.denverdailydeals.comFrom:http://www.frontrangebrewtours.com/[Edited on March 14, 2011 at 12:43 AM. Magic Hat Circus Boy is delicious.
3/16/2011 12:32:27 AM
all this time i never realized KBS was a founders beer.i am actually inclined to try it (much moreso than by the ramblings of you no-taste retards)[Edited on March 16, 2011 at 12:56 AM. Reason : also, when july rolls around i will be ass-raping so much devil dancer]
3/16/2011 12:53:40 AM
Devil Dancer is lame, unless you like overpaying for a mediocre barleywine of course

I fucking love Sah'Tea. A bunch of people hate on it but fuck them. Also, I'm assuming that's Midas Touch. I'm not a huge fan of the style, but it's pretty good when you want something light and fruity but with a filtered finish.Been drinking this lately. Probably my favorite Dogfish atm.
3/16/2011 1:43:25 PM
I found Dale's Pale Ale in SC this weekend. Pretty tasty.
3/16/2011 1:51:32 PM

I'm gonna be near Asheville this weekend, are there any local beers around there that I can't find here that I should check out?
3/16/2011 4:04:28 PM
^check out http://www.bruisin-ales.com/beerblog/ it's probably the best beer store in Asheville and they list their new beers. They have Pisgah in bottles which isn't regularly available in the triangle and is a pretty good brewery.
3/16/2011 5:58:58 PM
Had a Chang beer at Fai Thai (you can get it at Peace St.). Really crisp and light and good with noodles.
3/16/2011 6:41:56 PM
first time at City Beverage in W-S today. Great store. Made a pretty good haul including but not limited to Ballast Point Sea Monster, Terrapin Tomfoolery Black Saison, and Mission Brewery DIPA. too bad i'm not that way more often. but probably better for my wallet
3/16/2011 6:44:28 PM
RE: Hopslam comment. I've had my last one boxed up along with a Two Hearted Ale for over a month now waiting to ship to CO and I may just have to drink it now that it's no longer "fresh" !
3/16/2011 7:13:33 PM
beer just makes me tiredand many times makes me more insane than I need to beI'm sticking to either abstinence, or weedand right now I have no weedfucking hell
3/16/2011 7:20:35 PM
Whole Foods just opened in North Raleigh within walking distance. There goes the Friday paycheck.
3/16/2011 7:37:49 PM
^^^why'd you do that? I told you I already had some Hopslam and I was still up for trading. Just let me know what you want, I just want to trade for more than just Two Hearted, I'm on the east coast often enough.Just picked up a bottle of Lost Abbey Red Poppy.... yeah![Edited on March 16, 2011 at 8:44 PM. got to hang out with a rep from Avery last night and enjoy some of their offerings in their new can packaging. I'll probably always be a bottle guy, but there is no denying the cans were very fresh.
3/17/2011 8:44:15 AM
^x3 Oh no doubt - this was for someone else. At first the temperatures there probably would have frozen the beer and then I just got lazy when it warmed up.http://www.homebrewhaus.biz/html/in_stock.htmlI can get stuff from this place, but that's about it.
3/17/2011 8:53:21 AM
i tracked down KBS. i will share its location with you once i get my hands on it. coincidentally, this place also has it on TAP.
3/18/2011 10:33:01 AM
k....i possess a 4 pack of KBS now. it's located in Charlotte @ Vinter Wine Market. only a few left! so if you know someone in Charlotte, give them a call.
3/18/2011 11:30:27 AM
Nice. I'm en route.
3/18/2011 11:59:44 AM
