As explained to us: 2 beers an hour, no more than 6 in one visit[Edited on May 6, 2011 at 12:20 PM. Reason : 31]
5/6/2011 12:19:42 PM
ugh... are they trying to intentionally lose business?
5/6/2011 12:20:59 PM
don't act like you've ever been served more than 2 beers in an hour anyway...slow ass waitresses
5/6/2011 12:22:46 PM
this is all dumb as shit.when did this go into effect?went to the FS here Tuesday and there was no mention of it.
5/6/2011 12:24:08 PM
^lol i went to mine yesterday after work and had 4 beers in like 90 minutes while sitting with 2 of the managers.
5/6/2011 12:27:07 PM
^^^haha, I tend to go when it is less crowded (for lunch or afternoon visits) so the crowd is never really that bad... I can usually get in and out in an hour-ish
5/6/2011 12:28:22 PM
ooooh they're giving away koozies next week I don't need another koozie....fuck
5/6/2011 12:28:43 PM
btw i was already kinda hammered but im pretty sure our waitress qualified as a midget.and asian midget serving beer in fs getup.let that linger in your mind.
5/6/2011 12:32:46 PM
lol. They deleted TKE-Teg's message on facebook.
5/7/2011 3:33:27 AM
So, the two beers an hour, six a visit is a new policy? Because I've never heard of it.
5/7/2011 3:59:10 AM
my beers at the Saucer never come more than 2/3rds fullso does that mean I get to have 3 per hour??
5/7/2011 9:44:10 AM
shots should obviously count the same as a pint. That's if they're truly enforcing this stupid fucking policy.
5/7/2011 12:26:00 PM
I'm addicted to their snack plates.
5/7/2011 12:33:02 PM
1360.Reached my 6 beer limit Thursday and Saturday. I definitely notcied lighter than usual crowds there both nights.
5/9/2011 7:56:50 AM
I swear- I think they are taking beers off my list now!
5/9/2011 8:52:50 AM
Anyone going Wednesday for the leather Koozie?
5/9/2011 11:10:10 AM
have you seen said koozie? i have not put my hands on one yet.
5/9/2011 11:59:09 AM
I have not. I have to work Wednesday night (comp time yay!) so Ill probably just run over during lunch Wednesday and pick it up. Might even wrap it around an ice cold IBC Root Beer.
5/9/2011 12:16:43 PM
The koozie is pretty great. Good quality pint glass koozie.
5/11/2011 1:05:19 PM
yep, got two coming my way. uber beer nerd koozie
5/11/2011 1:12:39 PM
I'd love one, but I'm not going to saucer tonight
5/11/2011 1:50:55 PM
are the koozies for everyone? or just the beer "knurds" or whatever?
5/11/2011 5:51:12 PM
I believe it is their "keep the glass" night "glass" for this week. You just gotta go, pick up a ticket, and redeem it at 7
5/11/2011 6:25:03 PM
Can someone explain the purpose of this new policy?
5/11/2011 6:28:38 PM
it's to maintain the sanctity of their atmospherecan't have anyone get too drunk, it'll ruin the quaint feeling of 400 assholes in a long room where you can't hear shit, it takes forever to get a drink, and the walls are covered with the musings of drunks
5/11/2011 6:39:43 PM
Someone is mad they took pbr off the menu
5/11/2011 6:45:50 PM
what a ridiculous policyi could easily drink six beers in a couple hours, eat some food in between(although the food at saucer isn't very good imo), and still be just buzzed. i would be pretty annoyed if i wasn't even drunk and they cut me offalthough the only times i go to saucer is when i wanna try a new beer, and when i do that i'll usually only order one or a few anyway.[Edited on May 11, 2011 at 6:52 PM. There are special circumstances. The way it's been explained to me it's not nearly as cut and dry as it's made out to be here. Though it seems Raleigh is taking it a little more serious. Also, you can blame the San Antonio location for this.
5/11/2011 7:18:41 PM
drunk driver?alcohol poisoning?
5/11/2011 7:21:15 PM
pbr is so 2009
5/11/2011 7:22:28 PM
It won't last. There's just no way.Long term the bar won't survive with this stupid policy.

5/12/2011 11:17:13 AM
5/12/2011 11:17:38 AM
i love my leather koozies.
5/12/2011 11:34:24 AM
6 beer limit? Just order the seeing double. Its like drinking 12 beers.
5/12/2011 11:39:14 AM
is this it?http://www.ksat.com/news/27456364/detail.html
5/12/2011 11:40:53 AM
seriously? 6 beer limit???
5/12/2011 12:05:29 PM
This will seriously not stop me from going there. I rarely drink more than 4 beers when I go. Most people I know use it as a pregame spot anyway. If you are on beer number 5 just order a bigfoot draft or seeing double .... problem solved.I think I had a sweetwater pilsner, bigfoot, rochefort 10, and dragon's milk on saturday and was totally fucked up. I am not a lightweight either.
5/12/2011 12:16:23 PM
I wonder if the Oak Hills Tavern is being investigated as well.
5/12/2011 12:39:39 PM
god damn cowboys that can't handle their booze ruining it all for the rest of us
5/12/2011 12:41:53 PM
Vinylbandit sucks. That's all.
5/12/2011 1:19:23 PM
6 firesale hummingbird waters or foothills torch pilsners/hurricane hefes probably won't do the trickgotta get that DIPA or imperial stout
5/12/2011 1:29:21 PM
5/12/2011 1:39:21 PM
1370.Had a friend order a pitcher for one of his beers Saturday night. Bad idea.
5/16/2011 12:47:01 PM
I don't think I've ever seen a pitcher ordered there....
5/16/2011 12:47:28 PM
We split a Pilsner Urquell pitcher. Then All Day Nick May texted me and the evening only got better/worse.
5/16/2011 12:51:16 PM
haha awesome!
5/16/2011 12:52:06 PM
I drank in the back room of the Saucer from 3 am to 4:30 am about a week and a half ago
5/16/2011 12:58:51 PM
This policy = Good night, sweet prince
5/16/2011 1:59:15 PM
are you saying that the policy will lead to the downfall of saucer? because I think if they strictly implemented it, it would hurt business, but I don't think it would drive them out (at least not immediately). But i definitely do believe that after everything cools down, they will start phasing it out- probably be stricter about people getting wasted, but in all honesty, that is how bars are supposed to be
