how can you blame manning for that?Penalties kept the ball from going back over to Indy in OTI personally think the colts overperformed considering the lack of solid Oline play and running game. At this point in his career, you can't ask peyton to do but so much

I felt deeply satisfied to be sitting in the house with two brothers that were both Colts fans when the Chargers won.I definitely was screaming and hollering much to their displeasure. They give me shit for liking the chargers only after PRiv went there. Yet in reality they are only fucking Colts fans b.c their MOM went to Tennessee so they were vols fans and watched Peyton; than became colts fans after he went pro. At least i went to school with my QB. hahaI do not see how their punter didnt make the pro-bowl; scrifes punts were nearly god like. 67 YARDS!!Fuck it though we ALL know the pro-bowl has nothing to do with whose the best but is merely a popularity contest and a tribute to what teams have the most dick-sucking bandwagon fans. Hence why we don't see DeAngelo Williams in the game...... instead in reserve i see the RB of one of the shittier teams in the NFC Portis from the Skins. Strongly i stand by my opinion that Peyton is over-rated.[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 1:32 PM. Reason : l][Edited on January 4, 2009 at 1:33 PM. Reason : L]

No I didn't; i think both of them are.I'd put Peyton in the top 3 QBs right now in football. I just don't think he should have gotten MVP this season.Though i can live with the fact he is starting in the pro-bowl.I don't think Eli should even be going to Hawaii. What can you do though.... giants fans will dilute the pools with their worthless vote to get crybaby manning in there. yet he'd be shit w/o his o-line and would not even be on the best team in the NFC this season if not for the giants running game.
1/4/2009 1:35:53 PM
only includes regular seasonChargers since 2000:1-155-118-84-1212-4*9-714-211-5 in 2007*Rivers arrivesThe Chargers went 18-46 from 2000-2003, and 46-18 from 2004-200712-47-910-64-126-10*11-58-810-6*Eli arrivesGiants went 33-31 from 2000-2003, and 35-29 from 2004-2007Rivers did play under brees after he got there, but you cant make the argument that eli had a much more horrible situation than rivers when he got there
1/4/2009 1:44:28 PM
And dont forget that eli ran away from the chargers situation, and at the time, most commentators agreed that the charger situation was worse.
1/4/2009 1:50:19 PM
ya and i remember Eli crying and whining putting the blame on the other players on his team the first couple seasons he was in NY.Lets not forget that he had to ask daddy to demand S.D. to trade him or he would pout and not play.Eli blows but i guess the Eli "attitude" is pretty in sync with the personalities of all those yankee fucks from there anyway. Good going Eli your RB, kicker, and O-line (saving your asshole) gave you the #1 seed in the NFC.Why would you want to live in NY over San Diego anyway? Maybe this way he'd be closer to Peyton so they could have gay incestuous butt sex every weekend during the off season.[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 1:52 PM. Reason : l]

1/4/2009 1:55:21 PM
I can't believe all the whining i've heard bitching about the refs calling those 3 penalties during OT. Maybe one of those holding calls could have been overlooked but that does not change the fact that this is pro-football not a fucking street ball game. The colts were getting desperate but thats no excuse to start breaking the rules.
1/4/2009 1:56:48 PM
Not to mention the officiating was spot on for the most part. The refs called penalties on both teams when they saw them through out the game. In the OT drive, every penalty they called was correct, and pretty obvious when they showed the replay of it.

Peyton outplayed Rivers badly and yet people on here make claims that the Chargers shut down Peyton? LOL at the homers on this site. Peyton played a damn good game. They had no running game at all. Sproles was the difference in the game.
1/4/2009 3:24:12 PM
He only threw a TD on a completely broken defensive play. Other than that, and the 2nd colts drive where they scored the TD, he wasn't that effective. He threw 3 easy picks, all were dropped by SD. Rivers threw 2 easy picks, 1 was dropped by Indy, the other picked off in the endzone.[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 3:28 PM. Reason : Rivers also would have had a TD pass if Sproles hadn't fumbled]
1/4/2009 3:27:47 PM
^ once again, lack of running game... Chargers knew they were passing the whole game. And this isnt fantasy football, stats arent the end all. Manning played a great game. Game was a lot closer than I thought it would be. And that "broken" play happened because Manning recognized they werent ready and hurried the snap to take advantage of it, just because the Chargers fucked up doesnt mean that it doesnt "count"People on here have a ridiculously short memory. While watching the game and commenting on it with poeple on here I KNEW that as soon as the game was over people would all of a sudden start calling it a Manning choke even though he was about the only thing that kept them in the game and TWW predictably came through again. I think whichever team had the running game of Sproles and Scifers punting last night would have won, no matter who the QB was...On TWW, anytime the Colts lose its Manning fault, he choked. Anytime they win, they were just playing shitty competition or people just flat out forget about it[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 3:59 PM. Reason : d]

dropped INTs happen every game, especially games where there is no threat of a running game. As do perfect throws by the QB that the WRs tip and cause an INT (see Falcons game).[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 3:46 PM. Reason : d]
1/4/2009 3:40:34 PM
^^^ I didn't say it didn't count, but it was still an easy TD against a godawful defensive play.
1/4/2009 3:48:45 PM
but it wouldnt have happened if he had recognized it and hurried the snap count. Physically yes, it was an easy throw
1/4/2009 3:52:16 PM
I don't think Manning choked at all. That being said...he didn't win it either. I'm actually trying to figure out if he could have won it. The Colts were just so one-dimensional with no running game, it was definitely tough on Manning. But at the same time, the Chargers weren't exactly getting pressure on him. With all the time I he was getting in the pocket, I was expecting him to pick apart the secondary. Maybe a little blame has to go on the Colts WRs?? I know Harrison doesn't get the separation that he use to. I guess Wayne isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore either. Gonzalez probably played the best, but was held catchless in the 2nd half.It was definitely more of San Diego's defense stepping up than Manning choking.
1/4/2009 3:59:26 PM
^ agreed.Like i said earlier, i feel like the colts overperformed this season. They had a ton of OL trouble and no consistent running game. Manning cant do but so much. The Chargers definitely stepped their game up last night when they had to, so they deserve a lot of credit.[Edited on January 4, 2009 at 4:01 PM. Reason : .]
1/4/2009 4:01:04 PM
^^ that one miss communication with Wayne could have won it. I think it was just a case of the Chargers dropping back everyone and filling the passing lanes because they werent concerned about the run. And the RT getting burned on that sack on the last drive where a first down would have ended the game was huge.^ I agree totally. [Edited on January 4, 2009 at 4:02 PM. Reason : d]
1/4/2009 4:01:40 PM
^the RT didn't get burned, it was the TE. Not only was the blitz perfect, but the TE was like a full second late of getting off the ball.
