^^ Or talent, either waybut why do you keep posting these user comments? If it was writen in the article like I assumed it was I might consider caring what they had to say, but instead it's just some retarded rival fan, likely pittsburgh since his name is nittanylions[Edited on August 6, 2009 at 11:28 PM. ^^ what do you mean "keep", you make it sound like I have done it a hundred times before... just interesting to see how other people view things...[Edited on August 7, 2009 at 12:53 AM. Reason : d]

^If you were as "unbiased" as you claim to be...you would have said something along the lines of "man, the reader comments after that article are all over the place...must read." Or quoted several comments...some from the anti-Rivers group (or pro-Eli/pro-Big Ben groups) and some from the pro-Rivers group.Yet you probably pick the comment that is the most biased against Rivers. You don't give a shit about how "interesting it is to see how other people view things." If you did....then you would have just read the comments and said to yourself, "Man...it sure is interesting to see how other people view things." But when you post that comment, you are just trying to stir the pot.Pat yourself on the back Jaybee....you are one of the most unbiased Sports Talk posters. However, in this instance (and several others)...you are just trying to stir the pot and be a troll.
8/7/2009 2:57:13 AM
no no... if I was on a neutral website then I would have done what you said... but on this site there was no need to post his positive side as everyone is well aware of it and mentions it all the time. It would be like me going to a UT site and saying "Peyton Manning is good!" no shit.
8/7/2009 12:02:00 PM
I find it hilarious that no matter what Jaybee posts, somebody has to get their panties in a wad over it
8/7/2009 12:05:02 PM
I know right?
8/7/2009 1:39:36 PM
per ESPN, Rivers signed a 6yr, $92million extension.
8/24/2009 6:42:33 PM
damn - so a super bowl is worth about $5.5 mil then?
8/24/2009 6:49:15 PM
this is awesomei thought i just read at the end of last week that a deal wasn't close and that it might not happen before the end of the season, nice to see it donego bolts
8/24/2009 7:01:59 PM
^^ Probably more, since Rivers is superior to Manning in every stat except having a Super Bowl.

http://views.washingtonpost.com/theleague/panelists/2009/08/brady-manning-rivers-roethlisberger-quarterback-gennero.htmlFun little Priv lovefest article from the Washington Post...snipit:
8/31/2009 3:37:12 PM
Rivers being fined for "taunting" in the game the other day. I don't disagree with the fine as it looks bad on replay and I think more players should be fined for such actions, but it's ironic because I doubt his words were very harsh compared to what other players say. I mean he doesn't use foul language; it was probably fairly comical
9/19/2009 7:21:46 AM
From what I've heard, he was basically just yelling at the raider to stop on the whistle, since that play was blown dead but the raider lineman came through anyway (that was the play Hardwick was hurt I think).[Edited on September 19, 2009 at 10:04 AM. Reason : He threw down the ball to emphisize the play is over, the refs thought he was spiking it at him]
9/19/2009 10:03:56 AM
I saw one comment (can't remember if it was a blog, messageboard, article or whatever -- but it came from the oakland side of things) that indicated that when he bent down he said "I'm nowhere near as horrible as your quarterback" made it seem like he was retorting to something. i dunno.[Edited on September 19, 2009 at 10:10 AM. Reason : FWIW, I thought the flag was warranted... but not the fine. ]
9/19/2009 10:08:57 AM
436 yards passing today... unfortunately the running game couldn't get anything and so they still lost
9/21/2009 12:48:07 AM
9/28/2009 4:25:01 PM
But Jay Cutler is still better because he has a strong arm Rivers deserves a lot more credit than he gets for how well he has played in his young career.

http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballotDon't we have someone that can rig this shit??If not...we should still vote.Manning and Brady will most definitely be 1 and 2....and everyone else has wet dreams about Big Ben. But would still like to see Philip get that 3rd slot...especially since he got shafted last year.
11/18/2009 8:40:22 AM
Phil deserves it more than Brees this year definitely.Although the Saints are undefeated.I think he's got Big Ben easy imo.[Edited on November 18, 2009 at 9:05 AM. Reason : ^]
11/18/2009 9:04:43 AM
Brees is in the NFC
11/18/2009 9:06:26 AM
Rivers stats so far this year:2476 yards (6th best)16 TDs (8th best)62.2% completion percentage (13th best)97.9 QB Rating (7th best)only 6 INTs (tied for 20th most)275 yds/game (6th best)those are pro-bowl numbers. it is a shame that Manning and Brady are in the AFC so it is always going to be a little tougher for Philip to make it (at least for a couple more years while Manning and Brady are still in their primes) but he should be the third choice this year. His toughest comp. will be Schaub and Big Ben. Schaub is having an outstanding year and is also deserving. Would love to see Rivers get it this year though. Big Ben has less TDs, more INTs, a lower QB rating, and less yards. It should be between Rivers and Schaub IMO but Big Ben will have a lot of fan support.
11/18/2009 10:13:12 AM
Right now, Philip is definitely on the outside looking in...maybe even behind Schaub and Palmer, as well as Big Ben.But if San Diego can keep their momentum going and only lose a game or two (beating Cincy would be huge) and Philip keeps up the great play, then I can definitely see making a big run at it.Would also help if our poll skewers could get in on the aciton.
11/18/2009 11:21:22 AM
Also remember that the super bowl teams' players won't be eligible to playSo there's a good shot an extra spot with open upAlthough getting invited only because someone else can't go is sort of bittersweet
