Dang. Long time no drink! One day I am going to check this thread and it will be but a memory...I hope that day never comes.

Who is getting me coffee on the 5 year anniversary? It's just 2 months away

I think, somehwere, once upon a long time ago, I saw a blog entry regarding this somewhere. About some shop owner taking pity on the author and getting her coffee even though he was closed/closing. Wazzatyou?

ha yep! There were all kinds of happy endings. All I want to know is, what's the use of a 24 hour library if the coffee shop closes at 11?

Was given a gift card to Starbucks, bought 3 lbs. of coffee. The following conversation ensued:

Barista: "Would you like a complementary beverage with your purchase?"
Me: "Yes, thank you, that would be nice"
Barista: "What can I get for you?"
Me: "I'll take a black coffee."
Barista: [looking dumbfounded] "What? Nothing fancy?"
Me: "Nope, just a black coffee."

I was about to laugh when I left the store though. Pot after pot, coffee is great stuff.

DiscGolfer: Consider iced coffee. You can prepare it at home pretty easily. Just double up on your dose of ground coffee and brew as normal. Let the coffee cool to room temperature. Pour yourself a glass over ice and refrigerate the rest. It's particularly good with milk or even a little cream or half-and-half, even better with vanilla syrup.

I've been living on coffee and espresso lately even though I can't really afford to.

Homemade cold-brew coffee is awesome, though, when I remember to make it.

Having a mediocre iced coffee now pre-interview, but had an amaaazing (hot) latte this morning. Yummm.

Mochas are my staple drink.

If I want to get CRAZY, I'll add different syrups/sauces to my mocha. Like mocha with a splash of raspberry or cherry syrup. Or mocha w/ a tiny splash of peppermint.

right now I'm drinking some crap Starbucks pre-ground though. It was cheap and available. Don't judge me.

I never liked coffee too much based on what I had tasted...until my wife and I went on our honeymoon to Costa Rica this past Christmas/New Years. Every cup of coffee I had there was outstanding with or without sweeteners, creamer, etc.

my wife has had this for a long time and kept telling me the coffee (espresso, i suppose) that it makes is far superior to any drip coffee

we've been using it all this week instead of our drip coffee maker and i have to agree...it's actually really really good

i don't like black coffee because it's generally more bitter than i'd prefer, but i can drink this without any problem...the flavor is better somehow (using the same coffee)...it could be psychosomatic, but it tastes less burned or something (not that our drip makers have ever been bad or burned coffee, that's just the best way i can put it)

You know that we have free coffee cuppings at Busy Bee Cafe every Saturday, right?

It's at 10 a.m. and there are sometimes reps from Counter Culture Coffee there as well. Last week the owner of CCC (Rich Futrell) was there to participate and answer questions.
