^lol, you are obviously retarded. No where have I badmouthed the recruit. I said I thought it would be best to stay away from his family. Are you disputing that there is obviously something odd with the family? His brother transfers from school to school to school....now he has committed and de-committed from the same school twice. So how is it that I am bad-mouthing a recruit and how is it that I need to get my facts straight? Am I not just putting the facts out there?
1/7/2012 3:59:23 PM
oh man, I'm sorry, I werent aware that you were on a close personal relationship with torian and his family that allowed you to stereotype him and his entire clan based on the actions of his brother. excuse me mr. friend of the graham familyand how is it you still dont understand that the second decommitment was not his choice? if he had his druthers he would be playing for us and none of this would have happened[Edited on January 7, 2012 at 4:07 PM. 1/7/2012 4:01:53 PM
lol. ok buddy, what would you call it? His family made him pull his commitment? So how would that go against ANYTHING that I have said? The only thing I have said is that I would stay away from this family. I don't know a damn thing about them...but one kid transferring schools numerous times, and the other kid committing, de-committing, committing, being made to de-commit...as i've said, I would stay away from the family.
1/7/2012 4:08:27 PM
so youre saying you dont know why he had to pull his commitment even though its been reported on and documented in this very thread? like I said, you don't know what youre talking about, I suggest leaving and not coming back until you do
1/7/2012 4:13:55 PM
^whatever dude. I'm just stating my opinion that with the trail this family has left through both of their kids, I would be happy if my alma mater just left them alone. Nothing more, nothing less. Good Day.
1/7/2012 4:18:39 PM
and as I've proven a baseless and unfounded opinion, good day to you sir
1/7/2012 4:23:21 PM
^you are being trolled by extreme stupidity
1/7/2012 4:36:15 PM
I come to TWW for recruiting news... I don't see any actual developments, just trolling.

I mean, he came to see us play Western Carolina, I sure hope Gottfried can get him back down here for a better game

Can you imagine the smirk on K's face when he's like, hey kid, wanna see this tape of when I coached Lebron James?
1/9/2012 11:07:10 AM
"wanna see where I taught Kobe Bryant how to shoot a fadeaway?"
1/9/2012 11:10:36 AM
from that article, we have no chance at this kid, regardless of Purvis.[Edited on January 9, 2012 at 11:55 AM. Reason : it is quite obvious that Duke and UNC are way above us in his recruiting]
1/9/2012 11:54:39 AM
i'll wait and see

^^I'm with you on this, seems like he just included us as a token mention[Edited on January 9, 2012 at 3:01 PM. Reason : ,]

So Amile Jefferson? I apologize if I missed something on the past few pages, but I read Duke is on him and the interest is mutual?
1/9/2012 6:16:50 PM
and apparently he is close to a decisionbut who knows, this is all coming form twitter
1/9/2012 6:38:15 PM
I just want another Fab 5, is that too friggin' much to ask for?
1/9/2012 9:17:27 PM
Duke just offered Amile Jefferson. Apparently it is the offer he was waiting for. I don't know what to think now about where he lands. Clearly now UK, Duke, and NCState are the 3.*His dad is apparently influencing him to pursue Duke[Edited on January 10, 2012 at 9:47 AM. Reason : .]
1/10/2012 9:44:15 AM
ah man, that's going to suck
1/10/2012 9:50:24 AM
Crap! CRAP!
1/10/2012 9:59:53 AM
the guys we got were remarkable for where our program is and for Gott's first year. I think if we show that we can get to the tournament we'll get a lot more guys of that caliber. Right now, it's a gamble for a young kid to come to our program vs one that is a perennial success and gets all the national hype that the kids want for college - and more importantly - for the NBA. we're going in the right direction but it will just take a bit more time. Keeping CJL should be more of a focus right now.
1/10/2012 10:02:24 AM
The guys we got are remarakable for any program, for any coach (that's why it's a top3 class). But we're going to be pretty thin up front in 2014 if we don't get a big guy in this class, or a blue-chipper in 2014.
1/10/2012 10:07:13 AM
i'm ecstatic about our class next year...a big man would be great, but I think we may be OK for one more year...especially if somehow CJL stays. Big man needs to be our focus for the next 2 years
1/10/2012 10:09:39 AM
if we keep CJL next year we'll be pretty set to make the tournament. if we can keep him two years, I think we could make a really deep run.^^I meant it's remarkable that we got them into our program as it stands, but yes, they are definitely an asset to any team.
1/10/2012 10:32:51 AM
i just don't see cjl staying for four years. but it could happen, and that'd be great.
1/10/2012 10:36:10 AM
No Jefferson = better chance for Randle?Looking for the Silver Lining here.
1/10/2012 1:48:03 PM
new article about amile on pp. anyone have the scoop
1/10/2012 3:23:11 PM
^There's not a lot to the update. Basically, Duke is in the mix now (so is KY, Nova, UConn, State) and a decision could come soon. According to the update we seem to still be in pretty good shape. The article doesn't mention him leaning one way or having a favorite at this point.
1/10/2012 4:01:02 PM
^^^I'd be willing to bet that by the time Julius Randle suits up, he isn't going to care who is already playing his position on that team. That guy is an absolute stud and will be an immediate starter.
1/10/2012 5:56:49 PM
really don't think we have a legitimate shot with randle, but thats just opinion
1/10/2012 6:10:55 PM
I think we've got a chance, just because we have Rodney Purvis. I wonder if Warren and Lewis have any sort of friendship with Randle. Purvis and Lewis have been huge recruiters so far, and if Purvis is really tight with Randle he's gotta be in his ear bigtime
1/10/2012 6:32:00 PM
Jay Wright and K at Amile's game tonight, dodging autographs, like ya do.
1/10/2012 6:56:35 PM
the longer this goes on, I feel the worse our chances are at getting AJ
1/10/2012 8:01:13 PM
whoever said that Duke was the offer Amile has been waiting on......where do you get your info?Amile's dad said that NC State has been on Amile the hardest and the best since his recruitment has started. When asked who was left on Amile's list, his dad said: "Definitely NC State. And Nova, Duke, Kentucky, etc" We're still there, very much in it
1/10/2012 8:23:29 PM
^rivals premium. i definitely think State is still in it big time...i was just saying Duke is now in pretty strong consideration. THey had recruited him early, then backed off and didn't offer, and now they are on him again. His dad, from everything I read, likes Duke a lot because the school atmosphere is a similar to his high school (something along those lines). Unfortunately I think this is one of the cases where if it weren't for the parent, Amile would have already been committed to State.
1/10/2012 8:46:51 PM
Not good news about Amile for sure. However, he's not a make or break recruit for this program and the fact we are competing with duke just shows how far we have come. We are about to land a lot of monster classes if we make the tournament this year and are a top 25 program next year
1/10/2012 10:22:24 PM
face is right, purvis has already been the game changer recruit that we've got. everything else is just mustard on the hotdog.
1/10/2012 10:49:19 PM
fast forwarding to 2013...I didn't know this, but Nerlens Noel (one of the top rated players in the country, 5*, Rated #3 overall) is the younger brother of Rodman Noel (NCSU football freshman DB). That could really impact him considering joining his brother in college.*Unrelated note: Julius Randle dropped 50 points last night[Edited on January 11, 2012 at 8:56 AM. Reason : .]
1/11/2012 8:55:03 AM
yup, Nerlens' name has been thrown around some. Actually page 244 of this thread. He'd be a great pickup, but I'm not counting on it.And I don't know that his brother being here affects him that much. Yeah, there are brothers that go to college together that you hear about, but there are tons of them that don't.
1/11/2012 9:27:21 AM
Can someone break down our frontcourt over the next few years? We're still a little soft there right?
1/11/2012 10:14:18 AM
pretty sure i read noel isnt interested in state
1/11/2012 10:20:58 AM
Right now, in the 2014 season, after Howell and Painter are gone, TDT and Harris (and maybe, maybe Leslie) will be our only "big men". It does look like Vandenberg may RS this year, so he'd might still be around in 2014. So it'd be nice to get a big guy in the 2013 class, so he'd have some experience come 2014. Or either get a complete stud in 2014 who's ready to contribute immediately.
1/11/2012 10:21:11 AM
if we keep improving and winning by next signing period, it will be hard for jefferson to not want to come here
1/11/2012 10:29:34 AM
say what?
