It's one of 2 products I use. That and thisAveda Sun Care Protective Hair VeilMy hair and scalp are very sensitive to sun damage or whatever. I love it, except the fact that it smells like a hippie.I'm going to get the After Sun Hair and Body Cleanser and After Sun Hair Masque for this summer. The family I will be working for next year has a pool and want me to be outside with the kids at least 4 out of the 5 days each week. I'm fine with it, but my hair will be very sad. So I went into a salon and talked to some ladies about the aveda madder root. I ended up purchasing the color conserve shampoo and conditioner. I never buy products from a salon so I had no idea how much more expensive this stuff is. I will try to conserve it as much as possible and I think it helps that I am trying to wash my hair every other day.[Edited on December 12, 2011 at 10:10 PM. Reason : aveda image]

i try and go to places like tjmaxx to see if they have salon products for cheaper just for future referencei usually find something for like half what a salon would chargealso I just taught myself how to crochet because I am in LOVE with this scarf/neckwarmer thing. crocodile stitch! <3]
12/12/2011 10:11:51 PM

Saw a couple of signs in Belk tonight for a Belk 'personal shopper' lady that picks out clothes for you and teaches you how to shop. DivaBaby19 needs to take that up as a side job. TWW ladies will support you in your first month of employment [Edited on December 12, 2011 at 10:45 PM. Reason : ]

I could use a personal clothes shopper but I'd be scared of what DB would pick out for me
12/12/2011 10:46:13 PM

Ladies, the girlfriend wants a pair of UGG or Ugg-like boots for Christmas. She's mentioned that she wants them just to run errands and wear casually around so she doesn't necessarily need the real UGG. Is there a big difference between the shoe store brands and the authentic in terms of comfort or quality that would make me really need to get the real thing?
12/13/2011 11:06:56 AM
She doesn't care about the brand until she puts on a pair of real UGGS (like I did)Then she will want to live in them even though they're the ugliest shoes ever.Break down and get her the basic short UGGS....they're fantastic
12/13/2011 11:10:33 AM
^ agreed
12/13/2011 11:16:19 AM
Ant the UGGs they sell now not the real real ones though? Like the ones made in NZ?
12/13/2011 11:26:31 AM
aint they
12/13/2011 11:48:25 AM
I'm not sure what you meanbut they're legit
12/13/2011 11:53:55 AM
My classmate was telling me the original UGGs were made in New Zealand, but you can't get them anymore because they are made in China now or something. She mentioned the quality isn't as good... idk. I did notice hers have this pattern going up the backAnyway, don't let that affect your decision
12/13/2011 2:09:44 PM
LOL it's really hard to buy Christmas presents without buying stuff for yourself.I went to Tumi, Coach and Samsonite tonight. That took way too much willpower.
12/13/2011 9:03:30 PM
I know rightI went to a craft bazaar a few weekends ago and loved a necklace so much, Eric "bought" it for me aka I used his credit card and he doesn't have to try and find it for me So, I need help with sun protection. Anyone have any good sunblocks they use daily that aren't your typical sunblocks? Or any good daily face sunblocks? My skin is so ridiculously sensitive to the sun nowadays... I was in the car for less than an hour, and outside for less than an hour, and I feel like I got burned. IDK what the hell is going on with me.
12/13/2011 9:09:20 PM
I love Neutrogena sunscreen with moisturizer. Very gentle on your skin. And shoot. I should have done that at Tumi. That's a great idea, Sam!
12/13/2011 9:11:29 PM
There's a lot of cute stuff on Ideeli tonight.. The willpower is weakening!
12/13/2011 9:50:27 PM
Cetaphil moisturizer with sunblock is what my dermatologist recommends. You should be using between 30 and 50 spf every day generally.
12/13/2011 10:20:23 PM
I use Aveeno everything when it comes to my skin. Both my face and body daily moisturizers have spf in them.
12/13/2011 10:24:33 PM
I got spoiled working at Saks...I like Kiehl's moisturizer with sunscreen and its not expensive
12/13/2011 10:24:52 PM
I really need a pair of warm, water proof winter boots. Any suggestions ladies?
12/14/2011 8:34:14 AM
Thanks guys I would think cetaphil is good for sensitive skin, what about the others?
12/14/2011 8:39:21 AM
I have a $10 off coupon to Aerie if anyone wants it. Good through 12/24/2011, I am not going to use it. PM me and I will give you the coupon code. (It can be used online or in the store, if you want to use it for the store I can mail it to you)
12/14/2011 9:47:30 AM
My doc was worried about how sensitive my skin is to sunlight now so I'm being tested for a few autoimmune diseases.... kekskdorjnsnajwbbrkclkrbsjf I just want to know what's wrong with me. :/Oh and I need to stop biting my nails - boo
12/14/2011 4:48:19 PM
^ Good luck. Diagnostic testing sucks.
12/14/2011 4:49:36 PM
I'm just tired of trying to figure it out.... but I am lucky my main doc is so awesome. She actually listens to me and is really knowledgeable ... and I trust her since she pinpointed exactly what they found on my sleep study. Here's hoping she can figure this one out. [Edited on December 14, 2011 at 4:53 PM. Reason : ^ have you had your tests yet?]
12/14/2011 4:52:55 PM
so I bought this dress and I got a great deal on it..I'm debating if I want to keep it or not because I really don't need it...it is light weight so I could wear it for new years and in the spring time...
12/14/2011 6:41:43 PM
^ I like it!!For Christmas my dad gave me some moolah so I decided to treat myself to a normal salon versus the Aveda Institute... soooo happy even though it was soooo expensive... but oh well, I technically didn't pay for it
12/14/2011 7:29:36 PM
You have to be one of the prettiest red heds I've ever seen....it has to be the hair.
12/14/2011 7:40:58 PM
I agree! Sam you are stunning, and that hair color and cut looks amazing on you!
12/14/2011 8:31:52 PM
thanks! Worth the $$$ then haha
12/14/2011 8:59:12 PM
I am so jealous of your hair color! I wish I could rock a red like that.
12/14/2011 11:22:10 PM
SO PRETTY, SAM! I have a hair appt of my own tomorrow...to cut several inches off or not, that is the question. It's been a while

To Vix, the Totes brand waterproof boots at DSW are awesome! They have several styles, are very warm and decently priced. I got mine for $50.
12/15/2011 12:17:34 PM
also to Vix:SOREL! They are outstanding. I have their snow boots (I cannot say how much I love them, they got me through all of our ski trips last year, not to mention our nearly 70 inches of snow last winter), and I recently got a pair of their rain boots. Ruelala has had some on sale recently (and I believe they are having another hodge podge shoe sale that might include them), but I really think they are an amazing product. And I am rough on my shoes
12/15/2011 2:05:31 PM
i just bought sparkly heels they make me about 6'3" though. and are ridiculously hard to walk in. i'll probably break my anklebut i had to have them. had to.yo begonias lets go out and be taller than all the boys together.edit: these are them. i got the grayish purple color. they look way better in person http://www.dsw.com/shoe/madden+girl+trebel+pump?prodId=239482&category=dsw12cat520016]

HI YOU GALS i just came to say that i FINALLY (after talking about it for a year, like over a year really - my last haircut was aug 2010 i believe. maybe sept. either way, bad) got my haircut. we've talked about this before, but for whatever reason (lots of bad cuts) i'm always terrified and NEVER go to the same place because i never like anything. WELL i FOUND a place that is both affordable AND good.AQUA an aveda salon off creedmor road (its way far down like almost to 540 BUT worth it IMO). i called and got an appt with the lowest level people. ended up with this girl, mckenzie and she was trendy and awesome and did exactly what i wanted and i really like the cut!!! that never happens, so i figured i'd post about it. esp with all the aveda talk on the top of this page - it seems to fit in!!! so it was $35 including the tip. that is like, the cheapest haircut ever. PLUS it was quality. shampoo + cut + blow dry/style (and i never like how they style it, but she did a great job...normally they give me like a 1982 blowout and i'm like, no, that is not in style anymore. but this girl was young and knew what was up) = $25. i was done in about 45minutes. it was a really good experience...esp for me, someone who has had lots of bad haircut experiences. so if anyone is looking for a cheap but quality place i'd def recommend aqua and mckenzie! http://www.aquasalonnc.com/menuand i don't get anything for referrals or anything. i just honestly am really pleased with the price and cut. and she was really nice.[Edited on December 16, 2011 at 3:04 PM.
