I’m just so fucking happy man. There’s a lot of bad things I’ve thought about our program, and players, and Keatts and whatever. But man, taking a step back, we beat Syracuse, Louisville, Virginia, UNC, and Duke. In back to back to back nights. And won the championship.

I’m likely one of the oldest posters here and I’m confident to say this is the most important thing I’ve ever seen in my time as a fan or student or alumni. This doesn’t happen to us, let’s go win the fucking natty

So nice to win a championship!!! This came out of nowhere but so hyped after that game. And to do it against UNC is the cherry on top. I was screaming at the tv when we threw it to UNC and out of bounds several times in the last few minutes but we pulled it out. I love it!!

Yeah man. Outside of, like, family stuff…this is so important to me. It’s my hobby. I don’t have other hobbies. My love for State and State sports is dumb and irrational and I should really dial it back. Sports have just been a key part of so many relationships and life experiences for me. And to finally witness this…I don’t know. The birth of my child was great. But this is up there man!


Sports are dumb and I get irrationally angry and upset about it. I’ve lost sleep way too often due to State athletics. And I’ve gotten better in recent years trying not let the bad sports stuff bug me. But this…tonight…holy shit. What a feeling. That red and white confetti was fucking beautiful. Legit didn’t know if it would ever happen.

^^same, I've been going to State basketball games pretty much my whole life with my dad and sister. I found out I needed glasses bc I kept asking the score at a game! My dad passed but when he was around even if we didn't have much to talk about we could talk about state sports forever, same for my sister now! I called her as the clock was winding down it was great. We talk so much about our shared mental illness of caring so much about these silly games but it so worth it for the high of something like this. So happy man.
