Ended up going down the YT rabbit hole and watching BeeJay Anya high school clips.

I think he'll feel more at home if we give him a junkyard to hang out in and play music with his friends on pipes and shit whenever he wants.

Thanks to Central for reaffirming what I said five months ago: 2013-14 will go down as The Lost Season

This team can't do anything right, even against the dreck of Division I.

Just saying, we're challenging ourselves as much as Campbell. I just feel like if this is a "throw away" year like everyone is making it out to be that we'd want to toughen up our younger players against better competition. Then again, if we can't even beat the teams we're against now then it doesn't really matter.

"1) we have a virtually brand new team playing in its 4th game together with a ton of foul issues
2) they shot better from the line tonight than last year's team did for the year
3) in case you haven't noticed, the disparity between major conference teams and those from mid-majors or smaller is become less and less dramatic

also, on a normal night, holding your opponent to ~40% from the field and <20% from behind the arc is pretty solid. it's not so good when you shoot just as poorly and commit 30 fouls."

I couldn't agree more with this. It was boys playing against men out there. We had four players foul out and three white guys finishing the game. The freshman haven't bought into the system 100% nor have they adjusted to 2013-2014 college basketball rules. Personally, I thought our early OOC loss to Richmond a few years ago was way worse than this. Everyone man up and chill out, we've got studs on this team and we are still shooting for middle of the ACC this year. Second half defense was solid and proof that the players have been coached in defense, they just need to get a sense of urgency for a full 40 (or more) minutes. Tyler's missed layup and Cat's missed two FT's in over time deflated the shit out of the team and was ultimately why we lost, but it was great to see the fight to make it to OT with all the best players out of the game. Baby steps people, baby steps.

Hopefully Cat learned last night that he can be the man when we need him too. Dribble drive was really working in the second half.

UNC's loss to Belmont was much worse and makes me feel better about this.

Then again, UNC lost to Santa Clara to open 2004 and then won the national championship

Corchiani just came by my office and brought me and my wife lunch!

Incredibly nice guy, but naturally wasn't very happy about the game last night.

I have the utmost optimism in our squad, especially looking into next year.

It's definitely losses like this that leave a bad taste in your mouth though, kinda like OK State last year even though they ended up actually being the better team over the course of the season.

^^^ Yeah, he was making me laugh and I unfortunately have a tendency to shut my eyes when doing so.

I have a small real estate law practice in Wilmington, and we send business to his title insurance company. His rep knew that I pretty much idolized him when I was a kid, so she got him to stop by for lunch.

^ LOL.

Not sure why. UNC has two of their best players out (hopefully for good). We had Vandy out.

They are both downright embarrassing but at least Belmont has a pedigree of playing high majors tight.

^^ Because we aren't UNC. We lose to shitty times quite often...no matter the sport. As I read a million times on IC after the game..."UNC isn't suppose to lose to Belmont at the Dean Dome." (unless it's the 8-20 glorious season)

I've thought about, on many occasions, emailing Debbie and telling her that if she'd let me buy season tickets front and center court I'd be there for every game....

Maybe I should.

If you think Leslie McDonald is one of UNC's best players, you haven't watched much Leslie McDonald. He's a slow-footed shooter who can't really shoot. He has experience, but that doesn't mean he's any good.

Hairston is the real deal though.

People have paid untold tens of thousands of dollars for the right to buy those tickets...what's to be gained from asking for those rights for free?

I have called and asked for a price for lower level seats ...

Q: "What amount of money would it take for me to buy lower level sideline LTRs when something becomes available"

A: "We dont work that way" You have to suffer through countless sub par seasons in the nose bleeds before you can have the right to buy those seats, if and when they become available.

Me: "Thats a stupid business model. You should open it to new members as well as you go down the priority list and tell me what the current price would be to gain priority ahead of the most interested person wanting said seats, and add some premium for that opportunity"

I don't think you should be able to buy your way ahead of people who have been LTR holders for years, have been donating money for years etc. There's a reason TWC has their ranking system. If you want to sit in those seats then you know what's required.

Also I'd be willing to bet some LTR seats are available that aren't in the nosebleeds. Hell most of the nosebleed seats aren't even LTR seats anyway.

There are plenty of LTR seats in the lower level available, they just may not be on the sides. You can go to TWC and look at the big board to see what is available.

^^^It's only a stupid business model if there is insufficient demand for those seats. If they're currently being purchased consistently then what to they stand to gain by alienating their loyal patrons only to make a slightly higher margin?

That'd be like a restaurant kicking you out of your table as your food was arriving because another couple offered to pay $10 more and not have to wait for it. I know that analogy is over-simplified, but hopefully the point was clear. I do understand your gripe though. Unfortunately/fortunately, NCSU has a pretty robust fan base.

And LTR purchase is independent of rank if they're available. You can buy your way into any LTR seat that is available if you're willing to pay the premium for it and hit the corresponding annual giving threshold.

you give enough money and you can jump over people. but it's probably a lot more money than you can afford to give.

http://www.gopack.com/sports/wolfpack-club/spec-rel/point-calculation.html

so basically if you want to have higher priority than old people who have been giving for 40 consecutive years, you better be rich as fuck.
