David Stern doesn't want BOS win. LBJ VS KD can certainly earn more money for him
6/9/2012 11:01:05 PM
fuck it, i rather see lebron go out with flat performances and an 0-3 record in the finals anyway.
6/9/2012 11:03:39 PM
Awesome, Heat/Thunder, wonder how many times we'll see that over the next 4-5 years.
6/9/2012 11:05:35 PM
once
6/9/2012 11:06:00 PM
hahaha ok dude
6/9/2012 11:06:35 PM
6/9/2012 11:06:45 PM
Phew. We now have a Finals worth watching. OKC in 5.
6/9/2012 11:07:11 PM
Heat takes it this yearnext year, perhaps not.
6/9/2012 11:07:48 PM
I don't like LBJ winning rings. I hope thunder's big 3 can beat them.
6/9/2012 11:08:01 PM
as soon as he wins his first, this whole LBJ as villain shit will quiet down big time.[Edited on June 9, 2012 at 11:09 PM. Reason : people might actually have some rational perspective on shit.]
6/9/2012 11:08:49 PM
that's game
6/9/2012 11:09:06 PM
hopefully the refs will let them play this series, instead of buttfucking the Thunder with technicals in the first 24 minutes of the series and essentially saying "we're not gonna let you win"]
6/9/2012 11:10:25 PM
cleveland fans vs. seattle fans.
6/9/2012 11:11:05 PM
i cheered for the hornets when they went to new orleans, after all it wasnt the players who moved the team...i think seattle people might feel the same waycleveland fans on the other hand would never cheer for the heat
6/9/2012 11:12:44 PM
OKC in 5.
6/9/2012 11:17:57 PM
OKC in 7
6/9/2012 11:38:31 PM
I wish Harden were a better defender. I think Wade could have a huge series. I expect Thabo to play a lot more minutes
6/10/2012 9:35:43 AM
Hey NyM410...
6/11/2012 9:51:14 AM
If LBJ can't get ring this year, the big 3 may break down or the coach is fired.
6/11/2012 10:08:55 AM
^You just blew my mind man.
6/11/2012 10:14:31 AM
6/11/2012 10:40:36 AM
I think I like the Thunder better, but I hope Lebron and company wins it this year. This Lebron hating is fucking ridiculous. The guy toils away in fucking Cleveland for 6 years while ownership makes shittastic move after shittastic move (only the Bobcats management made Cleveland look better), with his only fuck-up being "the decision"...which ended up raising $6 million for charity.Other than that...why the hate? He complains and acts for calls like every other NBA player (Tim Duncan, everyone's poster child, is probably the worst). He's not an asshole like Jordan. No reports of him fucking broads on every road trip (he might do it, but at least he doesn't slip-up like Kobe/Jordan). And he doesn't seem to be a degenerate gambler (Jordan/Barkley).Someone please give me some legit reasons.
6/11/2012 10:49:23 AM
People just don't like seeing him go for help on winning rings at a very early period.
6/11/2012 10:59:40 AM
Yeah...too bad he didn't already have Scottie Pippen on his team
6/11/2012 11:00:33 AM
Another reason is probably ppl don't like seeing him joining MIA, a luxury city. Too easy to get help and fun will make him lose motivation.
6/11/2012 11:11:49 AM
valid point
6/11/2012 11:15:34 AM
I would like Lebron much more if he took his talents to Minneapolis/St Paul....[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 11:19 AM. Reason : .]
6/11/2012 11:19:27 AM
That's why people don't hate Durant.
6/11/2012 11:35:13 AM
Durant's organization got lucky with his team still sucking and getting great draft picks. Lebron and the Cavs fucked up by actually being decent in the beginning of his career and not getting a ton of lottery picks like OKC did. And they were just ABYSMAL in free agency.Trust me...if OKC was shitting the bed and getting knocked out in the first couple rounds (or maybe if Durant carried his team to the finals only to get obliterated by a real team)...then he would be looking elsewhere just like Lebron did.
6/11/2012 11:39:08 AM
Also LBJ can't hold people's expectation on him. In fans' minds, he should keep trying to be the next MJ like Kobe does even if he can't. In the contrary, he escaped, like what he does in some biggest moments of games.Even if he can win 6 rings in MIA, he's not as heroic as winning a ring in CLE by himself.[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 11:43 AM. 6/11/2012 11:42:56 AM
Who does everyone have??I'm sticking with my Heat in 6 because that's what I said in the beginning. I realistically think it will be a 7 game series with a 50/50 chance of either team winning. Should be a great series.
6/11/2012 12:49:11 PM
OKC in 6
6/11/2012 1:00:08 PM
HEAT in 7.
6/11/2012 1:10:45 PM
i don't see how someone can prefer two egomaniacs from miami over four kids who gladly live in oklahoma city for their basketball team.that plus okc is a better team.
6/11/2012 1:34:17 PM
"4 kids who would gladly play in OKC"Ha! First (although I love him), Westbrook isn't an egomaniac?? Most on this board have criticized him for taking too many shots and thinking he's the bigger superstar than Durant. And he stayed in OKC because he got PAID! We'll see what happens when Harden and Ibaka's contracts come up.Durant is pretty damn humble. But "you people" are glorifying these OKC guys just to spite Miami.

6/11/2012 1:43:25 PM
i know it's true. i'm making fun of you for saying "trust me" like you know something the rest of us don't.either way, you can't hate this kid.
6/11/2012 1:44:41 PM
lulz at the dumbass who tried to throw a fade in the corner over a 6'11" Durant.extra lulz for the person trying to get him to sign his clayed-up, dirty ass Nike shoe.
6/11/2012 1:55:09 PM
The big difference with Lebron, and I think the impetus of a lot of the hate, is the fact that he switched squads in his prime (or really, at 25, even before his prime). Almost every other star who jumped to a contender in the past few decades did so at the tail end of their career. The public saw Garnett, Malone, Payton, Barkley, etc. as making one last ditch effort to get a ring before they had to hang it up. With Lebron, he had at least another good 10 years to play when he made his jump. We saw that as selfish; thus the backlash.
6/11/2012 2:06:48 PM
Heat in 6. I think Lebron is going to make a statement in game 1.
6/11/2012 2:07:34 PM
To counter that a bit...Garnett is the only one of those guys who never really had a shot at a title. He mired in the 1st round losses forever and never had any real help (Gugs!!). He's the only one you can really point to as being true to his team. Even then...he finally had enough. You could probably say Lebron looked at KG's situation as said..."fuck that, I'm not going through that shit."Malone, Payton, and Barkley at least had their shots...but unfortunately played in the Jordan era. So unless they joined the Bulls or all teamed up together, they weren't going to win their title at that time.Lebron could have stayed in Cleveland and kept trying to do it himself (like he did that one year, but got crushed by SAS)...but he truly was getting no help and saw that it would only get more difficult once Boston got the Big Three and Howard was emerging in Orlando (probably didn't foresee Orlando's front office being as inept as Cleveland's). Most of those guys listed had big star help on their teams during their prime (Payton and Kemp, Stockton and Malone, Barkley had a great team in Phoenix with KJ)...Cleveland surrounded Lebron with Mo Williams, Sideshow Bob, and Antawn Jamison.[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 2:13 PM. 6/11/2012 2:12:07 PM
I don't quite get the media fear that the Big 3 may be over. Didn't they all just sign long term contracts with Miami?
6/11/2012 2:21:34 PM
But he went for help from the no. 3 scorer in the league at the moment (Wade) plus no. 2 player in the paint (Bosh). Even if he went to NYC or New Jersey, he wouldn't get so much criticism.[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 2:26 PM. Reason : 1]
6/11/2012 2:23:50 PM
KD seems like a great person, is a great (and rapidly improving) player, and I hope he gets a title eventually. That being said: I hope Lebron destroys OKC.
6/11/2012 2:26:10 PM
The conference finals this year tell people you can't beat guys in 20s when you are 30s unless you are MJ.
6/11/2012 2:28:29 PM
6/11/2012 2:32:41 PM
The Decision only told people one thing: LBJ wouldn't be as good as MJ, even KB.[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 2:41 PM. Reason : ;]
6/11/2012 2:38:45 PM
I'm agreeing with pretty much everything jbrick83 is saying. I'm excited about this finals. Should be exciting. I'll go MIA in 6.[Edited on June 11, 2012 at 3:12 PM. Reason : name]
