well assuming no stupidity and no stat corrections I'm gonna win by 2 pts this week.

Damn blount td at the end fucked me... I really wish I had tarted romo
10/4/2011 7:26:30 AM
Just curious how far ahead people look to their bye weeks? DeSean Jackson and Nicks are both on bye week 7, so I have to pick up a wide receiver (dropping greg olsen or jonathan stewart). I was just looking at matchups, and I noticed that Decker is available, and he plays the Dolphins week 7 who give up the 3rd most passing yards in the league. With Decker scoring twice this week, and being targeted 37 times this year already, do you go ahead and try to pick him up 2 weeks early, or just wait it out till week 7 and see who is available?
10/4/2011 7:30:15 AM
I would wait if you are in a small league like me.Who should I drop (I need to drop one to make space for bye-week replacements):Brandon JacobsShonn GreenWho should I pick up (I need a TE this week to replace witten's bye):Scott Chandler -BufJermaine Gresham -CinRandy McMichael - SD Kevin BossShockeyJeff King
10/4/2011 7:50:18 AM
^I am in a 12 team league if that makes a difference.Out of those 2 I would drop Jacobs personally, and the TE, either Chandler (if you want a TD), or Gresham(if you want around 50-60 yds and a chance of TD).[Edited on October 4, 2011 at 7:56 AM. Reason : .]
10/4/2011 7:54:32 AM
I really...really hate Curtis Painter right now.
10/4/2011 8:03:57 AM
League only has 5 bench spots, and I need a bye week replacement.Pick 1 to drop:Greg Olsen (starting TE is Jimmy Graham) or Jonathan Stewart (we play 2 rb, no flex, and other rbs are AP, Mendenhall, Matthews)thoughts?
10/4/2011 10:14:36 AM
I've never really carried more than one tight end personally except during the bye week of my starting TE.[Edited on October 4, 2011 at 10:16 AM. Reason : ]
10/4/2011 10:16:22 AM
yeah I don't normally, and it was an autopick in the draft, and haven't needed a reason to drop the second TE yet. Was just holding onto him to see if he exploded in Chud's offense.
10/4/2011 10:18:36 AM
If there are decent RBs that are available, I would drop Stewart. Then replace Olsen after his bye weeks are over.
10/4/2011 10:50:57 AM
speaking of rbs, does anyone see Knowshon Moreno turning it around? He is available and I am debating on whether he or Stewart are better served on my time.
10/4/2011 11:12:15 AM
Someone in my money league offered me Hightower and AJ Green for McFadden....are you kidding me?
10/4/2011 11:51:45 AM
^^Moreno couldn't even ride a stationary bike this weekend (at least not without falling off)
10/4/2011 11:53:28 AM
Start 1PRiv vs DENCam vs NOI'm leaning towards Cam because Rivers numbers this year are just not going to be great with a solid running game. Cam has been earning almost 10 more points a week than Philip. I've got a feeling that the NO game will be a shootout.Start 2 WRs and 1 FlexD. Bowe vs SDAJ Green vs JAX V Jax vs DENS. Johnson vs PHI (I don't like the secondary matchup)J. Stewart vs NON. Washington vs PIT[Edited on October 4, 2011 at 4:07 PM. Reason : this is a PPR league][Edited on October 4, 2011 at 4:07 PM. Reason : .]
10/4/2011 4:06:28 PM
Cam (he's gonna throw)D.Bowe (KC has no run)AJ Green (against JAX, nuff said)Question is Santonio Holmes worth keeping anymore? He's almost as bad as Shonn Greene with all the hype and no-show after 4 weeks. If not, would you drop for Julio Jones? Would you drop Lance Moore for Julio Jones (JJ's at least consistent)
10/4/2011 4:19:50 PM
You forgot the flex
10/4/2011 4:25:07 PM
That's kinda what I was thinking too.Start Vjax & Bowe, flex would be AJ... although he had a tough matchup too.
10/4/2011 5:15:16 PM
I've been offered Tim Hightower nd Javid Best for Chris Johnson. Chris Johnson will eventually come around, right?
10/4/2011 5:36:43 PM
Who are you all picking up this week?
10/4/2011 6:31:16 PM
Been offered Andre Johnson/Felix Jones for ABradshaw/Sidney Rice. If decent injury news for AJ is revealed, should I consider? Bradshaw has been money so far, as has Rice.
10/4/2011 6:40:30 PM
hes out 3 weeks. im a fellow AJ owner but im sitting at 3-1, think im going to wait out the drought. The Houston Chronicle's John McClain reports Andre Johnson will miss three weeks after undergoing a procedure to prevent scar tissue and "speed the recovery" of his hamstring.Hamstring surgeries typically require a much longer recovery period, but Johnson's procedure seems more like a cutting-edge platelet-rich plasma therapy. He's not having the tendon re-attached to the bone, rather expediting the recovery process. Johnson will miss games against the Raiders, Ravens, and likely the Titans over the next three weeks, aiming for a return against the Jags in Week 8. Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter will start this week, though Owen Daniels will likely be the No. 1 weapon in the passing game.
10/4/2011 9:54:34 PM
Would you drop Jonathan Stewart for Daniel Thomas?
10/4/2011 10:27:03 PM
I'd hold on to J-Stewart for right now. Something tells me he's going to be the man in Charlotte sooner than later.RB#2 (MJD #1):Redman vs TENN (Mendy probably not 100% and maybe not even play)or BenJarvus vs NYJ (Ridley looking good but BJGE still technically the man)WR#2 and #3 (Steve Smith #1):Lance Moore vs CARSidney Rice vs NYGMike Thomas vs CINDexter McCluster vs INDDEF:Pitt ORTenn(Or some waiver wire duds... Indy, Carolina, Buffalo, etc)I'm 0-4 and really need a win this week. Got beat last week thanks to Pitt D laying an egg and NYJ D blowing up.
10/4/2011 10:54:43 PM
10/4/2011 11:05:44 PM
Drop the steeler defense for the 49er defense??
10/5/2011 7:56:22 AM
^^ Yeah, I would go with that trade as long as you have enough fillers to hold out until AJ gets back and if that diagnosis is correct.
10/5/2011 8:46:24 AM
Better WR for the next couple of weeks? Malcolm Floyd or Pierre Garcon?
10/5/2011 9:18:37 AM
I would think Garcon.Tolbert or Marshawn Lynch this week? I'm always hesitant with guys like Tolbert who split time...[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 9:40 AM. Reason : non-PPR]
10/5/2011 9:38:55 AM
I think I'm gonna drop out of my big money league next year- I'm still a little upset at how I got screwed in the prelim draft when we decided to add two more people, I have nobody worth keeping (I have two decent receivers, but I'm not keeping them), and I don't like the defensive scoring. TB's Defense and Blount shouldn't have made up a 41 pt deficit plus 8 more points after monday nights game, especially with Indy putting up 17 pts (if it were a shutout, that would be one thing...). but anyway.... ^^that is tough... I can't trust Garcon- up until monday, he hadn't really done much- well he had done something, but he doubled his season total in yards on his two catches. And Floyd should start seeing more looks and is always a threat for a big play. If you are just looking for a couple of weeks, I'd check out the matchups (but honestly, I like Floyd better)^Tolbert is the pounder though, so he can vulture some TD's. I just don't like Lynch, especially since he, too, is splitting carries, and they are having to pass a lot early in Seattle. He only had 8 carries against Atl[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 9:41 AM. Reason : h][Edited on October 5, 2011 at 9:43 AM. Reason : s]
10/5/2011 9:39:45 AM
I'm with you on Floyd over Garcon. I read a good little article about how Garcon's two catches for TDs were more of a product of bad defense/tackling than good playmaking by Garcon. I would wait a week or two before picking up Garcon. There are still a lot of mouths to feed in Indy and a horrible QB (like 33% completion percentage bad) throwing the ball around
10/5/2011 9:45:34 AM
I am mainly going to need either Garcon or Floyd Week 7 due to injuries and byes that week.Garcon is @ Saints Floyd is @ JetsWith that said, Floyd or Garcon?[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 9:46 AM. Reason : .]
10/5/2011 9:45:55 AM
well floyd will likely be on "Cromartie Island" ... take that how you will. I mean, it all depends on if Philip decides to play that day, or just toss the ball around. I think NO will be more of a shoot out, so reluctantly I gotta go Garcon thereand ^^ raises alot of points running through my head right now on him. But I really don't like any receiver going up against the Jets right now[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 10:13 AM. Reason : s]
10/5/2011 10:12:26 AM
yeah neither are options I like....I can always hope someone will drop a better option by then.
10/5/2011 10:15:23 AM
Evaluate this trade:I get: B. Pettigrew & D. SprolesI give: Witten & J. StewartKeep in mind that I could use the RB help. Please advise.
10/5/2011 10:19:58 AM
Sproles seems to be like a small upgrade from Stewart. I don't think it's enough to let go of Witten. I have him on my team and he has been putting up great numbers.I need to pick up a Defense while Baltimore has a bye:NE vs NYJKC @ Ind.KC's defense is pretty poor, but I think they can get a few turnovers from Painter.
10/5/2011 12:13:15 PM
pick 2 (non-ppr):Lesean McCoy @ BufRyan Mathews @ DenLegarrette Blount @ SFBeanie Wells @ MinJahvid Best vs. Chi
10/5/2011 12:38:17 PM
^^hard to go against NE and they should be able to pressure Sanchez into a few mistakes^^also, to me Sproles is a huge upgrade over Stewart and on my team, Stewart is a 2nd option. Sproles would start.^go Beanie Wells & McCoy. Wells is on fire and McCoy will be relied upon more than Best will. Can I get another opinion on that potential trade?[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 12:41 PM. Reason : .]
10/5/2011 12:38:49 PM
^ I'd keep Witten and Stewart. Might be in the minority but I think as the season goes, you'll see more Stewart and less Sproles. Witten > Pettigrew.BenJarvus Green-Ellis or Isaac RedmanDexter McCluster or Lance Moore[Edited on October 5, 2011 at 9:27 PM. Reason : .]
10/5/2011 9:26:16 PM
I'd play Law Firm, Jets have been garbage against the run this season, and most likely he'll at least get 1/2 the carries. If Mendy plays obviously a no-brainer. Mccluster since Colston is back and too many other options for NO. The Colts suck against the run, are injured, and have had a short week=chance for success.Who to add for bye week flex and possibly keep as a 4th WR? Antonio Brown or Mike Williams TB?PPR, 1 point per 10 return yards.
10/6/2011 12:25:20 AM
that running back choice is hard- If mendenhall doesn't play (or even if he does, it might be very limited), Redman is looking at a huge load (he he he- huge load). BJGE was a starter at the beginning of the season, and Redman was a split second guy. As for matchups, Tennessee is about middle of the pack in terms of run defense, and actually a tougher matchup for fantasy backs, so I can agree with you there. By yahoo scoring, Tennessee has allowed the 14th most, and NYJ the 9th, so take that how you will. It is a total tossup in my mind. just keep an eye on the injury report^Brown is making progress, but tennessee has great pass defense and Pitt can't protect the QB... and what is big ben's status for this week. And Williams is going against a 49er's defense that can be passed on, and is tough to rush on, so he could see some work. I'd probably go williams there
10/6/2011 8:24:41 AM
Stafford v Chi,Manning v Sea orFitzpatrick v Phi???
10/6/2011 9:55:16 AM
^I would go Stafford.A guy in my work league offered me a trade effective next week (Week 6):I get:API give:Ray RiceDo you make that trade? I would effectively be picking up an extra bye week since Rice is on bye this week, and AP later on. But is AP that much better the rest of the year to offset that?
10/6/2011 10:28:15 AM
^^ Stafford, w/ CJ and a Monday night game ... he's gonna go off^ Stick with Rice, especially if you get any PPR points. They are pretty much equal in my opinion and AP has been a little down this year (not for lack of skill or ability but they just aren't getting him the ball like they used to). The extra buy week is what would make me lean in favor of Rice. Need two (I'm leaning Rice and then either Green or Holmes)AJ Green (Jax)S. Rice (NYG)N. Washington (Pit) S. Holmes (NE)
10/6/2011 3:04:12 PM
I'd probably go with Green, then either Rice or Holmes. NE is looking like a good match up for QBs and WRs.I am in a deep league, and just noticed that one of my opponents will only have one running back on his team without a bye the week I play him (and I could use some RB help myself). the only available RBs in the league that are looking usable are Torain &RedmanI can only afford to drop one player to pick up one of them. Which one should I grab?
10/6/2011 3:25:48 PM
I'd go with Redman there. Torain is on a bye week, and Hightower will probably be healthy again come the 16th.I need some WR help here. Who should I start?Sidney Rice (@NYG)Jacoby Jones (OAK)With Andre Johnson out, should I pull the trigger on Jacoby, or wait a week, see how Jacoby does, and go for the more reliable (albeit on a shitty team) Rice?
10/6/2011 3:31:06 PM
^RiceQB:Rivers (v.Den) or Stafford (v.Chi) to start this week?Pick 1:Jordy NelsonSantonio HolmesJulio Jones[Edited on October 6, 2011 at 4:13 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2011 4:12:57 PM
Start Stafford, trade Rivers for a top WRbut nelson out of that group[Edited on October 6, 2011 at 4:46 PM. Reason : .]
10/6/2011 4:46:08 PM
Pick 1 for my WR3 spot: Reggie Wayne, Eric Decker, Mike Williams (TB)
10/6/2011 4:49:29 PM
ReggieI'm real torn about Redman/BJGE.
10/6/2011 5:23:44 PM
Dalton vs. JAX or McNabb vs. Arizona?
