I saw Rivers play with a torn ACL.

Wilson hurt is better than those trash QBs we have on the sidelines and you all know that. He should have shown some guts. He was jogging.

these comparisons need to stop
- Rivers wasn't a mobile QB
- RW depends on being a mobile threat
- Rivers was always aiming to go pro NFL
- RW has a future that doesn't involve the NFL

I give Evans some credit for trying to pull off the highly improbable in a difficult situation. I dunno, maybe I'm giving him too much credit, but I think this game might have ended differently if Beck had been pulled sooner in the third quarter. Seriously, at least Evans might have actually gained a few yards when opportunities presented themselves...

i don't give a fuck if Wilson was jogging... I was jogging with a medium sprained ankle once, too. Then I put my weight on it laterally and almost tore the fucking ligaments off of my foot

You show some guts in a big game that's all. And RW is not just a scrambler, he throws a pretty, accurate ball and has a strong arm. Even just in the pocket he makes plays so that's a shit reason in my opinion.

Coaching could have come up with a better running game.

I don't believe the defense could have been better than what it was. We just weren't winning one-on-one matchups at the line like we were in the first half because our guys were tired.

Coaching also could have recruited better players

Yeah, Evans went out on a somewhat high note. He gave some fire to the team's offense, other than the interceptions.

You saw a professional athelete play with a torn ACL. You don't ask a 19-year-old to risk his entire athletic future for a marginal bowl game.

Whatever, Wilson is a stud and if he felt like he couldn't go in and do it well, then that's that. Great game he played and a great game by our defense but unfortunately it wasn't enough in the end.

you are a retard, that's all there is to it. You show guts when you don't have a huge risk of destroying your future. You don't show guts w/ something like a knee injury.

woah now, we didn't lose that game because the rest of the team played bad. the defense did a great job in the first half, was on the field a lot in the second half, and still managed to come up with some big stops. special teams played well with the exception of the blocked punt. wilson can't help that he got hurt. his mobility has been praised all year and that's all he was doing - making a big play. beck's mistakes are what cost us the game.

Oh yeah, coaching may have put evans out there to start with. He at least burned up more clock before his turnovers and he actually caught rutgers off guard.

Also, he can work the middle and underneath routes better, but by the time he was in, he had to look downfield.

Well let the Evans haters come out.

He had no choice had to make play.

I swear this announcing team is fucking terrible the reason Rutgers wins is they had James Gandolfini put a hit on RW.

It was a good season, especially November. We are young team O'Brien is building a good program. He got some extra practice in this season. We have some holes to fill but we are getting better. I have faith that he was the right hire for us. Rutgers offense was senior laden, Teel, Underwood, and Britt are all seniors, defense got tired.

I agree, if Daniel had a chance to run an offense fit for him for the entire second half it could have been different. We all know chucking the ball the down the field isn't his strong suit

Oh and anyone complaining abut the coach is full of shit. We didn't have a running game in the 2nd half because they knew we were going to run. They trusted that Beck/Evans couldn't throw and put more guys in the box and blitzed the hell out of them. Those things don't work on Wilson, so there you go. We had a very balanced running game in the first half in my opinion.

yeah, as much as I'd like to bitch about Evans, there's no way I can reasonably do it. Evans did his best, and he did a hell of a lot better than Beck. Look at the drive charts if you don't believe me. Hell, look at Beck's 0/4 with an INT, that should prove it to you. Evans did a fairly decent job, considering that Rutgers just stacked the box to prevent a running game with him in.

Don't kid yourself. We were not good at running when wilson was in. Our running game was just really predictable.

The coaching takes a lot of the blame. There were tons of stupid offensive play calls. And though the defense did well, archer is still a shithead. he has yet to make an adjustment for our shitty secondary.

I am sorry I still think this was a successful year. We were in every game but 2, the whole season. We are going to get better. We got much needed practice in to develop young players. O'Brien is going to get us better up front on offense.

coaching mistakes in the 2nd half killed NC State

even without Wilson, we would have been in a better position to win without those mistakes.

BC fans know all about TOB coaching mistakes

hopefully we'll see some more improvement next year in all areas

The loss of RW was big this game, but even bigger was our lack of a running attack. Our OL should have man-handled their smaller DL but they didn't and most of our rushing yards came from RW scrambling. Eugene coughing up the ball and then a fake FG is what ultimately became the difference maker in this game.

You can't have an injury to your best player, lose the turnover battle, and gain about 5 total yards in the 3rd quarter and expect to win.

We had a better season than expected. We have a LOT of young talent, now we just need depth to go along with the talent and experience. We should have beaten Rutgers, no doubt about it, but we didn't and we can point those things out all day if we want, but there's no point to doing that.

Good year fellas, not the ending I would have wanted, but I wasn't expecting a bowl game to begin with. Here's to a healthier next season!

Yeah, I was fine with the play calling. Can't blame TOB for not playing wilson. I know and you know that if he could have, he would have. Can't risk an injury and a future for a kid just for a bowl game. At the time also, we were up by 11... Wilson goes in, gets really really hurt, ends his career in baseball and it costs him millions... Not smart.

Look, good season, better than expected. Hard schedule the whole year, incredible game against UNC, great first half. It's to bad we got the case of suckyness, but jeeze. Imagine Wilson the starter and Glennon the backup. How sick. Add some experience and talent on D.

The thing that cost us the game was the immediate TD by rutgers after evan's drive. We all knew it was over. Luckily our D held them to a field goal with time left.

I thought the play calling should have been better for Beck

we know he's a shit face, why do you set up with plays that involve him actually making decisions and throwing a pass over 10 yards? That interception was probably the worst throw I've ever seen

did we call any screens/short slants/bubble screens with Beck/Evans in the game?

Not worth it for RW to go back in. I would have loved to see him go in, and I kept wishing he would. Evans looked major confused since he hadn't been getting game snaps. Going to AntHill every throw or the safety valve was bound to fail. RW spreads the ball around because his ability to scramble gets people open.

God loves the Wolfpack and thats why he invented tomorrow...Didn't beat their ass today, we will kick their ass tomorrow.
