nice job Boone of ignoring my statement about people not even ACKNOWLEDGING Wright's flaws until Obama gave him the okwith strong willed minds like Obama supporters seem to have, they won't realize Obama has any flaws until Obama himself admits them]

Boone, as I said before, I dont think he is the same as wright, but I do feel he does share some of his views. Esp when you consider his own wive's comments and that chicago example. But Im not voting for him anyway, and like the news said last night the younger votes dont care as much about facts, they are more emotionally driven.None of this will influence anyones decision, its already been made and everyone seems to just tow the company line.

5/15/2008 5:07:55 PM
you cant even legitimately address his post as well as calling out his grammar? just the grammar? cant do both?i mean i really dont care, but when you love calling out other people for doing the exact same shit, i'll let you know when you're just as guilty yourself]
5/15/2008 5:10:27 PM
I wasn't calling out his grammar.I was pointing out that after my thorough explanation of what exactly guilt by association is-- he went and did it again.Did you not get that, either?
5/15/2008 5:15:07 PM
haha, sorry. Writing and Grammer werent my thing in school. Only C I got in high school. Compound the issue with my brain thinking faster than I type.Boone, maybe the fact that we cant point to a voting record or real acheivement for examples isnt a BAD thing for OUR arguement. At least worth considering. Im giving you examples of why I question his judgement and beliefs.[Edited on May 15, 2008 at 5:17 PM. Reason : ..]
5/15/2008 5:15:22 PM
i figured you called him out for spelling it "wive's"considering your "explanation" was "ALL THIS TYPING FOR NAUGHT", how was anybody supposed to have a clue what you meant
5/15/2008 5:16:15 PM
Well if you were the type that constantly called people out for grammar, I can see why you'd jump to that conclusion. If you're the type of person who stays on topic, you'd have read the actual content of the quote.
5/15/2008 5:18:05 PM
and if you had made a coherent critique of that post you quoted, instead of posting a few words in all capital letters, nobody at all would have trouble deciphering your intent

DAMN AMERICA=ok lets change america completelyObama is a hippie's president. Obama is a communist's president. You've got all these spoiled college students and young people that don't know what they are doing exercising their right to vote just for the sake of feeling powerful and they are sending America off of a cliff. Obama being a black person's president is not even an issue. He's not even black and has stayed as far away from any black endorsements as he can. He's just using his dark skin to gain votes yet black people think he will magically solve all their problems. No president could do more for black than Bill Clinton anyway.Obama is going to end America as we know it. This is why all these young college students want him. Obama doesn't like America he's not a patriot and his goal is change. He's going to change the constitution. He's going to change international relations. He's going to CHANGE AMERICA. We will all be baking bread for China in four years.

i guess most of the north carolinian primary voters are hippies then[Edited on May 15, 2008 at 11:18 PM. Reason : or commies. seriously, are you even trying?]
5/15/2008 11:18:04 PM
if you mean most of North Carolina's democratic non black primary turnout are hippies or commies yesin a state thats about 50% dem lets say 50% turnout among them (really high) 25% of that turnout was black and 65% voted for Obama. So in the ~8% of North Carolinians pop remaining that voted for Obama, most of them are extremely liberal (hippies) or even borderline commie and yes they want to destroy American and make it something new. Obama has been open about completely changing America himself and plans to change the constitution so my statements or Rev Wright's shouldn't shock anyone with regards to Obama.

FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY!!!!Someone is writing about the lack of clarity in Obama's position on the Iraq War. I literally thought I was the only one that noticed. You know all those quotes I keep posting? That wasn't from some e-mail forward. I had to scrounge for each one of those. I've seriously been trying to figure out Obama's position for 2 months. Well, it turns out The New Republic agrees...they don't know his position either.
5/16/2008 1:56:53 PM
^you aren't allowed to know these things about obamaprepare to be branded a racist in 3...... 2......
5/16/2008 2:07:46 PM
and mccain just says "most of our troops will be out by 2013", osama will be dead and we'll be exporting more because of trade deals with unknown countries. no mention of ANY specifics of any of it. and no one bats an eye.
5/16/2008 2:24:34 PM
Yeah, McCain's little speech the other day sounded about as realistic and well conceived as a 4 year old's Christmas list.
5/16/2008 2:28:39 PM
sarijoul, Leaving by 2013 is not a policy platform, it's a hope for the future. Obama's promice to immediatley begin withdrawing troops after he becomes President and to bring the majority of troops home in 16 months, on the other hand, it an actual policy proposal. And you think he's given enough specifics on that?????
5/16/2008 3:17:32 PM
5/16/2008 3:20:23 PM
^ scary or realistic? And if Sarijoul want's to talk specifics let's talk specifics. How specifically would Obama pull us out in 16 months (assuming he actually believes that and as I've pointed out before that is not for certain)? Here's the last few paragraphs of the TNR article.
5/16/2008 3:24:48 PM
5/16/2008 3:48:27 PM
^^It should be real hard to get those planes home.
5/16/2008 3:50:20 PM
^^ Funny, but irrelevant. I was against the war too. But now we're there and we have to figure out the best strategy moving forward. I don't think rushing out in 16 months is a good idea. Having legislators set arbitrary withdrawal dates that disconnected from the realities on the ground is a really bad approach to shaping military policy. And guess what? That's exactly what Obama thought in 2006.Then it "just so happened" that he changed his mind when he started running for President.PS* If Obama doesn't think we will leave in 16 months, then he is consistantly lying misrepresenting his position to get votes. Opinions and stances have a way of changing as people become better informed.Of course, that's not to say that this happens to everyone, as our current administration has shown.
5/16/2008 4:21:42 PM
lol its kinda obvious whatever he says is bullshit until he gets in power
5/16/2008 4:23:03 PM
Stein, So....Obama was uninformed about the war before 2006...does that mean he shouldn't get credit for opposing the war in 2002? And does that also mean he should be punished (or at least scolded) for taking positions on the war when he was uninformed? Like in 2004 when he said his stance on the war was not much different President Bush's (he said they both agreed America needed to remain in Iraq)? Or in 2006 when he opposed the idea of congress setting withdrawal deadlines for withdrawal (10 months before he changed his mind and proposed his own deadlines)? So apparently, the guy lost track of the war for 4 years and didn't hit the books until he was running for President. That's EXACTLY what I want in a President.
5/16/2008 4:50:31 PM
I'd rather have someone in office who is willing to change their mind or correct themselves if they've made a mistake, Obama or not Obama. We've seen what the alternative has net us.[Edited on May 16, 2008 at 5:35 PM. Reason : .]
5/16/2008 5:34:42 PM
^ !!! Changing your mind for good reasons is NOT what I am talking about (I think this is the 6th time I've said it in this thread alone). The point is that we don't know why Obama is changing his mind.I personally think it's all for political reasons. His mind "just so happens" to change when the polls change. Having a President that makes policy on poll numbers is VERY bad.Your statement actually implies that he has been willfully uninformed for at least 4 years (assuming you think he was informed when he opposed the war in 2002). Also a bad quality in a President. And you DON'T CARE!It's amazing how Obama supporters want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to give Obama credit for being right in 2002, then ignore the fact that he has been against immediate withdrawal for about half his time in the Senate. You know, when he actually had the power to do something about it?I would think people would be pissed off that Obama is so transparently pandering to their core beliefs. Instead they eat up. It blows my fucking mind.[Edited on May 16, 2008 at 6:03 PM. Reason : ``]
