And for people who haven't seen the film, you just gave away the ending.

I know I would have been annoyed if I hadn't seen Indy a few hours before you posted that.

I'm just saying it's fairly reasonable to expect to not have the ending to the currently most popular movie in America be revealed in a thread discussing a television show.

it's only a spoiler if you consider "somewhere there's a cup that gives immortal life" to be a spoiler for last crusade.

it's the premise of the movie, not the ending

Indy was a trainwreck of a movie.

Back on topic.. yeah.. I'd give it to Sun.

We have the impression that Piak is a very large auto company, probably worth billions of $. And Sun comes in and buys 51% of it with her "very large" Oceanic settlement? I mean, i'm sure Oceanic was generous, but unlikely to be 100s of millions or billions for each survivor.
not a big deal, though...."

Yea as soon as they mentioned that I was like OMG WTF no airilines is dropping that kinda cash. Even if she got a double payout for her husbands death, those 6 would pretty much liquidate the company. Not even counting payouts to the people that did die or are still lost.

Maybe she already had money her parents gave her or maybe visited widmore first and got some help from him.

the online episodes are fucked. i was watching the final hour, and it got choppy as hell. then, just as ben is doing his thing in the orchid, the entire vid came to a stop.

im a bit pissed, even though i guess it's just too much traffic for abc.com to handle.

She's using the money to leverage out her father. Why would he give her money to do that?

Why would Widmore give her money?

Have you ever seen this show?

She approached widmore to help him. I don't remember if there were any clues or not as to the time but I'm not sure if this was before or after she bought the company with the way the show likes to play with order of flashbacks. If she developed a relationship with Widmore first, then it is very possibly he helped her buy the company.

Also her father may have given her lots of money when he found out she was alive and she ended up using that money to help buy the company.

Whidmore and Paik (Sun's father) are on good terms though. They aren't competing for something.

I thought she used the money from the Oceanic Settlement to take control of her fathers company. I think she wants to team with Widmore in attempt to see if her husband is still alive.

The point is that there's no way Oceanic could have settled for that much money.

I'm pretty sure she introduced herself as the "acting manager" or somesuch of the company, and handed him a business card that she would have reason to have before taking control.

first, I have to say that the music in the finale was just perfect as usual. This show without that music would be nothing.

Didn't Ben tend to a wounded arm when he appeared in the desert ? He also had that wacky stick which he took down that pair of gunman with... if I remember correctly this puts Ben in the desert shortly after he turns the magic ice wheel thingy.

So is it kept cold to shield the Island from the "negative energy exotic matter" ? Insert made up Star Trekky physics here.

I don't get you people who say there are no questions left. What about the dreams and the dead people all over the place ??? Personally, I find that a little strange.

I must say I have hope this show may yet explain itself, something X files never managed in my humble opinion.

As far as these sort of shows go I suppose the best are

- X files
- Twin Peaks
- Lost

no particular order.

Oh, I think there is something big about reincarnation with the plot. That thing that Jacob (?) did with Locke as a child is similar to the process used to see if kids are reincarnate spiritual leaders in the east. So for Jacob to get mad at Locke for saying something was his had a lot of significance. Perhaps Locke is the reincarnate of some special person to the island which Jacob has some beef with in general ( be it Locke or his past life place holder )... this might shed light on why Jacob gets Locke sent back to the real world...

Obviously speculating.

No one has said this. If anything people are complaining about there being too many questions left.

It was Richard, not Jacob. We still don't know who/what Jacob is.

Quote :

Who said Jacob sent Locke back?

Quote :

Reincarnation? Really? You think Richard is reincarnated as a 35 year-old man who looks exactly as he did 50 years ago?

I'm starting to understand why CharlieEFH shits all over Lost threads.

ok, new topic:

When do you think season 5 will start?
Immediately after the freighter blows up or after Locke dies (3 years later.)

My guess is that it will start with Jack and co. trying to find the island. When they get there, shit is insane and we figure out what happened those ~3 years through flashbacks (which eventually show us why Locke left the island.)

Jack - K = Jac + OB = Jacob

Simple formula, guise.

Be cool tho if Jacob is Jack only 20 years older or something.

clearly lost represents the Bible

and the folks we know about are the children of Jacob

and the folks on the other side are the children of Ishmael

the folks on the other side right now are trying to rebuild the plane
so they can fly it directly into the caves, in an attempt to kill all the children of jacob

clearly

no, not necessarily.
i'm saying that they are typical barbie-doll blonds who generally need some kind of prep (hair, makeup, etc) to look decent. They're pretty, for sure, but nothing really that special compared to the thousands of others like them running around LA looking for gigs.

Kate, though, could roll right out of bed (or, i don't know, run for 2 miles through a muddy jungle) with no makeup, hair, wardrobe, etc, and her natural beauty shines through. That's not to say they don't get all sorts of beauty stuff even when they're supposed to be muddy and dirty, but the point still stands. Then when she does get all done-up, like during the court room scenes, she's stunning.

evangeline lilly is def comparable with maggie grace. and they are both way hotter than the naomi chick. i dont even think naomi is the 3rd hottest Lost girl.

its all of matter of opinion of course

although i think we can all agree that michelle rodriguez is the by far the worst of all the Lost women that are supposed to be hot. maybe ti is just me, but i dont find butch lesbians hot.
