Lets go jags!
1/14/2023 10:38:42 PM
I like how Al Michaels and Tony Dungy are adding an extra syllable when they call Austin Ekeler Austin "Eh-kuh-ler" instead of "Ek-ler", meanwhile Cecily in the Verizon commercials calls Verizon "Vri-zun"
1/14/2023 10:44:39 PM
I only heard al say his name once but thought the same thing
1/14/2023 10:54:26 PM
Lol chargers
1/14/2023 11:35:31 PM
pretty awesome comeback
1/14/2023 11:37:35 PM
you wouldn’t know it from the energy in the booth
1/14/2023 11:42:21 PM
^i too dislike Michaels
1/14/2023 11:51:50 PM
Michaels is the GOATDungy was awful and clearly brought the energy in the booth down
1/14/2023 11:58:58 PM
Fair enough i only watched half the game and i am an ageist[Edited on January 15, 2023 at 12:12 AM. Reason : Idk about GOAT though. He is ok. Can’t pronounce ekeler right][Edited on January 15, 2023 at 12:13 AM. Reason : -]
1/15/2023 12:11:51 AM
Al Michaels used to be really good. He is not good now, he's been phoning it in all this year if not longer. Both of those things can be true.
1/15/2023 1:05:23 AM
Dungy’s energy can make anyone lethargic. He’s 90% to blame for Al’s performance.
1/15/2023 9:25:21 AM
Al hasn't been good all year on Thursday night football. He's just commenting a paycheck at this point.
1/15/2023 11:42:41 AM
^ exactly. He's just collecting $15M a year until he's forced to retire.
1/15/2023 1:08:45 PM
Goddammit the grink got me again
1/15/2023 1:53:56 PM
lmao at Tampa Bay fans, of all fans, booing the refs for calling a Roughing the Passer penalty on the opposing QB
1/16/2023 8:38:21 PM
lmao 4 missed extra points already by Dallas
1/16/2023 10:07:04 PM
To a lot of teams, 4 missed extra points would be enough mistakes to lose a game, but not against Tampa Bay the NFC South in 2022/2023.
1/16/2023 10:23:46 PM
The person above me is extremely wise
1/17/2023 1:33:38 AM
Thanks to Panthers secondary for forgetting how to cover go routes the Panthers will pick at 9 instead of 19. So thanks Tampa for winning in Week 17 and getting embarassed in the Wild Card round. What does Brady do? I think he is done in Tampa and I really can't imagine him going to a cold weather team.
1/17/2023 7:54:55 AM
100% Brady is a dolphin next year. This has been the plan along IMO
1/17/2023 8:12:12 AM
brady to [extremely chris berman voice] da raiders
1/17/2023 10:43:37 AM
Raiders are way more likely than the Dolphins
1/17/2023 11:10:31 AM
He wants partial ownership of the dolphins, he almost had that if not for Flores.
1/17/2023 11:52:25 AM
and then they got busted for tamperingwas that part of the plan, in your opinion?[Edited on January 17, 2023 at 12:28 PM. Reason : .]
1/17/2023 12:20:05 PM
wonder if Buffalo will be the preseason Super Bowl favorites again next year
1/22/2023 5:51:38 PM
Well they do have Josh Allen who is the greatest qb to have ever lived
1/22/2023 8:03:37 PM
Apparently the fringe theory now is that Damar Hamlin is actually dead and the elites? are just hiding it from us?
1/25/2023 4:01:26 PM
Saw a tweet that said the broncos passing game coordinator was getting an interview for an OC job.NFL teams are run by the biggest bunch of idiots.

Lol i am not watching a 12 minute video
2/2/2023 10:46:53 PM
^^seems like the only solution to the wage inequality issue, and the secondary issue of parity in the league, would involve not having a salary cap. That would increase player pay but it certainly doesn't seem like it would help with parity. But fuck it, now that the Panthers have the 2nd richest owner in the league, let's get rid of the salary cap.

2/3/2023 12:43:04 AM
If not wanting to watch some guy rant for 12 minutes is lame, then i guess I'm just a big lame.]
2/3/2023 12:45:56 AM
not a rantit’s ok to take some time to watch a well thought out video from time to timeyour skin won’t fall off if you do, I promise
2/3/2023 12:58:35 AM
I much prefer written pieces to video.
2/3/2023 1:05:11 AM
he’s a writerit’s also been 25 minutes since your response to not wanting to watch a 12 minute video[Edited on February 3, 2023 at 1:11 AM. Reason : .]
2/3/2023 1:10:26 AM
And?
2/3/2023 1:21:50 AM
i don't even think it's that great a video/argument. let's ignore that it is from 9 months ago and not necessarily as topical as it would've been last april. it basically says the draft forces salary structures and forces drafted players to play for the team who selected them, akin to slavery. look, obviously there are aspects and symbols of slavery in something that involves billionaires paying athletic dudes to do physical stuff. but players can opt out of the draft, not sign contracts, etc, you can play for any NFL team and will deal with a lot of the same physical impacts on the body. a bidding war won't change that. bomani is going kind of all out on this one. and all in the name of capitalism! it does seem a good bit ranty at times.]
2/3/2023 1:27:49 AM
I, for one, can't wait for the sports leagues with no salary caps as well as no player entry drafts. That will be just the best.
2/3/2023 1:42:36 AM
MLB is a funny example of this, because several teams annually break the bank to be good (right now, the Padres do it every year) and still lose out to a team with a lower overall salary in the playoffs. But the hoarding of talent in MLB is pretty real.
2/3/2023 8:10:33 AM
MLB still has a draft, which is how those cheap owners occasionally win.
2/3/2023 12:21:54 PM
^^completely falseThe Padres played the 2nd, 1st, and 4th team in payroll this posteason and they were 5th.Almost all World Series champions in the past 10 years have been in top 10 of total payroll. Not everyone that spends wins but if you spend the chances of winning are greater in non salary capped leagues.
