I think Michael Jordan actually had COVID-19 during his supposed "flu game"

A good friend of my parents has recovered from COVID. He lives in NJ, is 70 years old. Tested positive, lots of coughing and fever and felt like complete ass for a week and a half, but didn't need hospitalization.Unaware of anyone else.

My wife's second cousin's wife's brother had it. The wife's second cousin's wife lives in Brooklyn, but I don't know about the brother.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with a girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious. May be Covid-19.

My boss almost blew up his kids - turned on the stove and it didn't light. Neither he or his wife smelled the gas. They both tested positive the next day. The count of people I have met or know that have passed away is up to 4 now including the councilman of the ward next to mine and not including my former councilwoman. So yeah this is pretty real.

Could a mysterious white phlegm be covid-19 symptom? Around time I got pink eye i loogied up, only once, a white phelgm that could literally only be described as cum like.

I had two uncles in Connecticut declining in health, with dementia, and in different facilities living out their final days. It wiped both of them out. The sad part is not getting to go up there and be with my family. The funerals were done via zoom with minimal participation other than a priest and a few pallbearers wearing masks. I know someone that has a presumed case but she couldn't get tested because tests are only for special people.

Good friends GMA died from it yesterday

Wife's grandmother was confirmed to have it this morning. She's in a nursing home with four other confirmed cases (two residents and two staff). She was moved to a hospital yesterday because she has a 102 temperature and was coughing quite a bit. She has pneumonia in one lung and her 91st birthday is tomorrow. Of course we can't go see here or anything so that is rough on my wife. Shit sucks.

The area of my zipcode has about 20 cases according to the data.

My mom had it and has since recoveredMy mom's friend of like 25 years died from it(They didn't get it from each other. They live several states apart now)

Was told yesterday that wife's grandmother isn't responding to treatment. They are keeping her sedated and out of pain, but its just a matter of time.

Sorry to hear that NightHawk. Unfortunately, she seems to be right in the crosshairs of the worst demographic for a new respiratory disease Hope your family holds up okay. The WRAL website does have a pretty nifty interactive map that will show cases per zip code. Here in 27603 we've apparently had 46 cases and 0 deaths. Also I didn't know this but apparently 55,000 people live in my zip code.

Woke to the news grandma passed away this morning at 4:10 am. Not the best news for us on Mother's Day. Wife is doing alright, but obviously shit is pretty surreal since she couldn't be there, be with her family, etc. We have no fucking clue what the expectation is for funerals during all of this, so no idea whether we should plan to go or what?
5/10/2020 10:47:46 AM
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

btttSorry for your loss, Nighthawk
5/12/2020 12:12:41 PM
Sorry for your family's loss man What area of the country is your grandmother's nursing home?
5/12/2020 12:41:19 PM
This one in the news yesterday. I don't think they've added her fatality to the total count yet for the specific nursing home, so I believe the total count is six now.https://www.witn.com/content/news/-Rich-Square-nursing-home-deals-with-five-COVID-19-deaths-570389861.htmlAlso we elected not to go to the funeral that was held this morning. We were told it would be a graveside only service, no seats, no more than 20 people and shorter than 20 minutes. People were encouraged to stay in their cars and just drive up. After it concluded we were to leave immediately and not chat or loiter at all. My wife didn't want to get all of us dressed up (and maybe the boys) to ride two hours in the car each way to Roanoke Rapids to only hang for less than half an hour and not get out of the car. The funeral home is working under state orders, so definitely not faulting them, and I totally understand why they have to do so not complaining about the restrictions either. It just wasn't worth it for her and we are going to do a celebration of her life at a later date when restrictions are lifted so we didn't go to the funeral today.[Edited on May 12, 2020 at 1:16 PM. Anyone gotten the antibody test? One of my neighbors went to get tested, out of curiosity, because he had been around someone with COVID at a trade show in early March (found out after the show of course). He never showed any symptoms or felt ill. Test came back positive. Oddly enough, his wife tested negative.
5/13/2020 9:12:33 AM
I had covid, tested pos first week of April, 2 weeks of quarantine, then returned and tested neg, getting antibody test soon once I can break from work. Went back to base on shoreline revetment project as mission critical so no quarantine for us unless we are
5/14/2020 9:46:16 PM
How was it?
5/14/2020 9:49:12 PM
I was asymptomatic so I went in on a hunch because my allergies were acting up. I never even broke a fever except for maybe an hour and it was to carry a cooler of ice through a hot parking lot (I'm down here in Flawrduh). Lots of paperwork, did my own safety reporting because I was the safety manager of that one site, had to answer many chains of command in the company. If I was not asymptomatic I would have been exhausted. Back when I broke my ulcer and took an ambulance to the ER near the project site, it was a lot less hassle and I was a lot closer to death with the blackouts. Couldn't make it to the phone almost. My project team freaked the fuck out over the covid-19; my boss actually got pissed off at me for reporting it at first. He got accusatory like I was deliberately putting people in danger by not knowing my symptoms. I called my doc around lunchtime for the initial screening, when the symptoms went from allergies to confusion/dry cough/shortness. He still asks me 6 weeks later how asymptomatic people could possibly not know when they had it and I have to not break his knee caps carefully. I am grateful he kept me on while I was in quarantine as office staff from my home, very grateful for my coworkers here on the project site who called to make sure I wasn't dead, and my buddy who walked his dog by my window sometimes because a couple weeks without that dog was really sad. Boss never offered help or asked how I was doing but coworkers did and that's what makes them cool as shit. Been a long fucking project. One of us has almost died of salmonella, one died of liver failure, my ex killed himself, our documentation died of a freak flu (she was my buddy), oh and we lost one of our client on this project too. Anyway.

I was reading a thing that said you’re shedding the most viral particles just before you’re symptomatic. Do you have any idea how you got it?
5/14/2020 10:27:44 PM
^^ Holy shit! What branch of the military are you in and what is the nature of your project that resulted in so many casualties?
5/14/2020 10:49:50 PM
Do you know what asymptomatic means?
