AD rejected a deal of $146 M.
1/8/2020 3:44:43 PM
Yes, because he will be able to sign a 5 year/>$200 million deal as a free agent. Or alternatively he could sign a 2 year max deal, then become a free agent again when he hits 10 years of service and be eligible for an even bigger max contract. Either way, he's not leaving LA in the near future.

wonder how many of the 'Likes' on KD's tweets are from his own burner accounts
1/9/2020 11:52:28 PM
what's funny to me is that KD sounds like Trump in those tweets.
1/10/2020 1:00:53 AM
half the people on twitter sound like trump/kd/50% of twitter

Zion will be back soon. The debut is set one week from now.

Celtics defeated Lakers by 30+ pts at home. They are still the strongest opponent for Lakers in the East.
1/21/2020 9:55:12 AM
Other than the Bucks, of course
1/21/2020 2:03:20 PM
Bucks didn't make it as easy as Celtics.
1/21/2020 2:20:01 PM
Zion's playing like a cherry-picking scrub.
1/22/2020 10:22:18 PM
Walking turnover tonight.
1/22/2020 11:35:38 PM
Damn, that was incredible
1/22/2020 11:45:30 PM
someone spoke too soon
1/22/2020 11:52:54 PM
U also got to give a lot of credit to Ball. He clearly had the mindset of "we aint winning this game and this guy needs some good minutes."
1/23/2020 12:20:33 AM
He scored 17 pts, including 4-4 3 pts in the 4th qtr straightly. Watching him play is fun.
1/23/2020 8:50:41 AM
the Inside the NBA tribute that just ended was incredible

JJ has the weirdest stride while running.

Rockets going all in small ball, "they have to guard us too" I guess
2/5/2020 8:19:08 AM
I doubt the rockets are done. But they just see big men as easily replaceable and are gonna pick someone up later. You can't really blame them. Capela got played off the court in the playoffs the last two years.
2/5/2020 8:34:20 AM
I'm sure they'll shop around for a replacement but I think the Tuckwagon will be their base lineup regardless
2/5/2020 8:42:54 AM
yes they're gonna ride that small-ball lineup for the rest of the season, but they'll still probably add a big for the playoffs, either by expanding this trade before the trade deadline or getting someone on the buyout market.
2/5/2020 1:03:59 PM
This will shock all and especially the last 3 posters, but the Rockets reportedly finalizing a deal for "an eastern conference center" (which is weird phrasing bc is consider giannis more of a forward, but whatever)Tristan Thompson apparently? I'm intrigued [Edited on February 5, 2020 at 3:38 PM. Reason : E]

*note* the above post may be total bullshit! Who knows!

Wiggins to the Dubs for DLo, plus picks.I hated it right when I read it, but it’s not bad, actually. They’re tanking anyway and while DLo is a great player, Idk how well he’d mesh with Klay/Steph. Hopefully they deal Wiggins
2/6/2020 1:21:58 PM
They should fine the warriors for such an obvious tank move. Wiggins is trash.
2/6/2020 1:36:28 PM
overpaid != trash
2/6/2020 1:54:24 PM
fine. he puts up similar raw offensive numbers to TJ Warren while being less efficient and neither plays defense. he makes roughly 3x more money. he is not worth anywhere near the max deal he is signed to. of course no player in the NBA is actually trash (besides when tyler hansbrough was in the league) but i'm going to judge them by their value relative to their contract.he's a below average 3 point shooter who isn't all that efficient inside the arc either. his best quality used to be getting to the free throw line - he averaged over 500 attempts his first 3 seasons at 76% - but he's dropped off considerably in that the last 2.5 years not even breaking 300 attempts last season and hitting only 68%. He is currently having one of his best years, he's actually shooting over 50% on 2 pointers this season! Something he's never done in a season before!if he was worth anything near what his salary is, the timberwolves wouldn't have had to trade a #1 along with him to get Russell. i'd be surprised if he sticks around in GS TBH]
2/6/2020 2:41:25 PM
2/6/2020 2:45:23 PM
He's a classic player that should be a great 3rd or 4th option and isn't good enough to be a 1/2. He's also similar to Russ (and alot of players) that he needs to focus on getting to the rim and lose those icy midrange shotsAlso like Russ, it's the classic "we can get this player to change when others couldn't" :

Lol bill Simmons having a meltdown about the no-center rocketsSigh, remember when he was kinda likeable?
2/6/2020 11:26:55 PM
I mean, they do play an extremely unlikeable style of basketball3 tweets isn’t really a meltdown, eitherDean Smith did a similar thing in his era by attacking an inefficiency with the 4 Corners. that didn’t make Carolina games enjoyable to watch[Edited on February 7, 2020 at 12:29 AM. Reason : dude’s also close with Morey ]
2/7/2020 12:05:56 AM
Except that other than "I don't like it" his criticisms are false. Rockets have been about isolation all season, trading Capela didn't really change that. Also, he said they don't rebound or block shots, but last night they had one fewer rebound and one more block than the Lakers. Pretty good for not trying.
2/7/2020 7:11:38 AM
2/7/2020 10:13:28 AM
I don't even care about if Simmons thinks the Rockets are unwatchable, fine that's an opinion go for it, but it's silly to act like the capela-less Rockets are some huge new change. Also he jumps to blame the ENTIRE NBA ratings slump on the Rockets which is silly
2/7/2020 10:26:34 AM
The most unwatchable college basketball performance is the Princeton Offense right?
2/7/2020 10:28:18 AM
lol shoot. don't mention that around these parts.
2/7/2020 10:41:00 AM
Westbrook > Harden
2/7/2020 11:44:50 AM
I haven't watched much of Wiggins' career, but he seems very similar to Harrison Barnes, which worked out great with GS.
2/7/2020 12:46:25 PM
2/7/2020 3:27:27 PM
Yes, I heard they played very very ugly basketball but won almost every game.
2/7/2020 4:53:30 PM
Harrison Barnes wasn't on a max contract in GS.
2/7/2020 5:08:12 PM
y'all are acting like Wiggins is Timofey Mozgov or something
2/7/2020 5:13:22 PM
He's only 24 and putting up the second best ppg total in his career. Seems like a lot of upside, plus the W's get a first and second round pick, so they have some good pieces to rebuild with.
2/7/2020 6:14:19 PM
No, but he's an inefficient scorer who is bad at shooting 3's and defense. And he's on a huge contract. If he was making maybe a third of what he is currently, then he'd be a fine addition to many teams.
2/7/2020 6:15:46 PM
Sorry to beat a dead horse but it's very funny that Simmons says he is "out" on the unwatchable Rockets and then 4 days later they play (and beat) the Celtics
