I have been trying to get through Dead Ringers, but jeez, were producers running a contest to see how many times they can get "fuck" into the script? It's a bit excessive.

Started watching “The English.” Pretty entertaining.

Not an "original", but Amazon recently got the Northern Exposure series from the early 90s. It's got a lot of "good" music, and apparently you couldn't find it anywhere becauase of copyright issues or whatever. But apparently recently they resolved some of those issues, and the series on Amazon contains ~80% of the original soundtrack.

I remember watching Northern Exposure with my parents as a youth. Good times.I loved the Inuit couple there (fun fact, the couple that Joel and Ellie came across while in the snowy wilderness was the same couple from Northern Exposure).

Anyone watching Fallout? First episode was excellent and Walton Goggins is excellent in any role he plays. Its been a while since I played any of the games though -- pretty sure that none of the vaults were anywhere near each other, and certainly didn't have any kind of tunnel linking them, right?

Never played the games, but I’m really digging the show. And yes, I could listen to Walton Goggins read the phone book.

From, the MGM+ original about people trapped in a town where monsters come out at night, always looked interesting from the commercials, but who the fucks pays for MGM+? Anyways the first season is on Prime now, I’m three episodes in and really enjoying it

^"From" is the name of the show -- there is actually a separate thread on it from a few years ago. I enjoy the show, it has a lot of parallels with Lost. New season I think is coming out next month. You are right though, nobody is paying for MGM+. I watched it on some kind of free MGM+ trial that came with Prime originally. The show won't survive if you can only watch new episodes on MGM+. Look at Cobra Kai, I think it was a YoutubeTV exclusive when it first came out and nobody watched it. As soon as it moved to Netflix, it blew up in popularity.[Edited on August 7, 2024 at 3:35 PM. Reason : ]

Yeah, I said From, it’s the first word of my post (or were you just letting others know?). Amazon owns MGM now I believe, so maybe MGM+ will just get folded into Prime? Would be nice, I definitely want to keep watching[Edited on August 7, 2024 at 3:42 PM. Reason : $$$]

This is like why the thread about the movie It ended up saying "Pennywise", bc tww search seems to filter out lone prepositions.
8/7/2024 3:48:38 PM
I was actually pretty sure I had seen a thread or at least discussion of it somewhere, but I didn’t even bother searching, figured I’d just throw it here because newly available on Prime (also I’m not trying to be spoiled)

Yeah I wasn't clear, I put it in quotations for anyone else reading your post. With a TV show called "From" its easy to get into a "Who's on first?" type loop, lol.Def avoid the standalone thread until you are caught up through the end of season 2 btw, there are def spoilers in it and this is the type of show where the "mystery" of what is going on is the fun part. I'll bump it when the new season comes out -- not sure if it will be all S3 episodes at once or just weekly.
