thank you goalielax for being another example itt of how liberals tend to ally with fascists rather than socialistsv yes we should leave it at that. if anyone wants to have a longer cuba debate, happy to do it in the other thread[Edited on February 26, 2020 at 6:14 PM. Reason : .]

^ what if you give American military secrets to a foreign country? what charge is that?is treason an actual crime under US law with that name?
2/26/2020 11:52:33 PM
You will be charged with violating the Espionage Act of 1917 and probably theft of government property, depending what exactly you did. But that mostly applies to government employees. The super secret invasion of Panama wound up being broadcast on television to no discernible punishment what-so-ever.

i still havent watched the debate. how did bernie do? i know the others piled on but not sure it matters if the event itself was terrible.[Edited on February 27, 2020 at 7:53 AM. Reason : .]

he did well, the booing i think surprised him the first time but didn't throw him offi don't think anyone really stood out as being excellent or terrible, it was just a bad debate overall. bloomberg was bad and probably would have been terrible but he was saved by moderates a few times and also had a favorable audience. pete kept talking over people but they ignored him, i'm surprised they didn't andrew yang his mic.
2/27/2020 8:20:25 AM
That debate didn't feel to me like he did well but that he didn't do bad enough to really hurt himself. Also, no one did well enough to single-handedly benefit at his cost. I felt like Biden won the debate by default of being in the lead. Warren is the most articulate and knows how to land punches well in debates.Bernie had one exchange where he deflected a question off-topic by talking about Biden voting for the Iraq war. Didn't come off well especially considering the boos. The crowd was on Bernie all night and he never should have engaged them. I feel like winning a debate means you have to sound good to people who previously didn't think you sounded good. I felt like they all did well for the base but didn't bring anybody new in with that debate.
2/27/2020 12:30:22 PM
Why do i have to watch tucker carlson to hear MSM talk about MMT? They don't like Bernie but at least they explain what he's planning.

tonight's rally was electric. 25,000+. I went early enough to have to wait a long ass time to get in but too late to be within visibility of the stage. Dick Van Dyke was hilarious in his rambling and said a bunch of shit no one in the room agreed with but at least he's endorsed bernie bless his heart.[Edited on March 2, 2020 at 12:23 AM. Well yeah I'm curious about every ideology. I can't change the reality that most people get their information from MSM. You don't watch cable news but are a walking projection of their narrative. It doesn't matter what medium you get it from if its the same ideology. The fact of the matter is that everyday people are genuinely concerned about how government will pay for programs that are essential to their lives and thats all because of MSM pushing conservative talking points without balance.[Edited on March 2, 2020 at 1:45 PM. Never been. I only use reddit for Turo, Airbnb, and a few altcoins. Most of the conservative/altright folks I talk to are on forum.bitcoin and friends i know on facebook. I'm sure between those two communities, it all gets to me though. I love my facebook feed because I get exposure to all types of people. Thats what happens when you've lived in 5 States and 2 foreign countries.

I always said Bernie was too nice but in the next week we're going to find out what he's made of. Tons of cash on hand. Lets see if he's willing to use that to attack. He's never attacked anyone. Republicans are going to do it and its time to take the gloves off. Voters don't know who Biden is. Put everything out there. Scorched earth.[Edited on March 4, 2020 at 1:56 AM. Reason : k]

3/5/2020 12:18:57 PM
Now that Warren's out are there any steps left for the democratic party to steal this from Sanders, or is the damage already done and you'll all be sour no matter what now?
3/5/2020 12:35:11 PM
Here's what will happen: most Bernie supporters will vote for Biden, a small % will vote third party, a very small % will vote for Trump, and the rest will sit out the election. But the Democratic leadership would rather lose than elect Bernie so it's a win for them either way.[Edited on March 5, 2020 at 1:05 PM. Reason : .]
3/5/2020 1:05:05 PM
I want the specific Bernie supporters on this website to stake out whether their vote is already lost, and if not, what dastardly deeds will the DNC do to lose it going forward
3/5/2020 1:37:34 PM
I'll never vote for Biden, if thats what you're asking. As Daave already said, most Bernie voters will. I'm in that small % of Bernie voters who are actually socialists who moved right to get behind Bernie unlike the democrats who moved left to get behind Bernie. As long as Biden has the lead and wins in a way I deem to be "fair and square" (which it looks pretty certain he will), I won't actively oppose him. but if Bernie somehow takes the lead in delegates and popular vote and Biden is still the nominee, or if anyone else is the nominee, I will actively oppose that candidate as an enemy of democracy. So rigging shit going forward is the only way they can further alienate me. As far as I'm concerned right now, Bernie has failed to earn the nomination as opposed to it "being stolen from him" [Edited on March 5, 2020 at 2:08 PM. Reason : I'm in a place of apathy right now, not a place of opposition to biden]
3/5/2020 1:42:06 PM
I really don't want to, but I probably will. A lot will depend on who he picks as a running mate and what (if any) more progressive concessions Bernie could wring out of him.
3/5/2020 1:51:44 PM
I probably won't, but could be swayed by VP choiceAnd no, it's not because of the "dastardly DNC" or "sour grapes". It's because he's an awful person and candidate and I think we are probably better off waiting 4 more years.[Edited on March 5, 2020 at 2:08 PM. Reason : .]
3/5/2020 2:07:06 PM
Bloomberg was the only candidate i would maybe not vote for, i still probably would have but im not certain.Like most Sanders supporters I'd vote for Biden if he is the candidate, as I expect the same from most Biden et al supporters if Sanders is the candidate [Edited on March 5, 2020 at 2:20 PM. 4 more years of Trump would be disastrous for our judicial system.
3/5/2020 2:15:36 PM
3/5/2020 2:16:52 PM
4 more years of Trump and he'll have every federal judge filled and another supreme court justice, thats damage that will last a lifetime
3/5/2020 2:22:24 PM
May be hard to overcome as it is. For like half a second last night I had some faith Dems might have found some balls wrt to the courts but of course Schumer caved to McConnell and media faux outrage and apologized. In all seriousness, the Dems have a legit shot to win back the Senate and it would be a travesty if he was the majority leader.[Edited on March 5, 2020 at 2:25 PM. 3/5/2020 2:24:33 PM
For those saying their vote for Biden would depend on his VP pick, can you list who is acceptable and who is not? Obviously this wouldn't be an exhaustive list, but of the obvious choices
3/5/2020 2:39:10 PM
No idea atm. I would recommend progressives not play their hand at this point because it gives Biden's team no reason to offer concessions.
