cheapest tix for the SCar game is $80
2/28/2017 9:31:37 AM
let some of the hype wear off over the summer, it'll go down
2/28/2017 3:43:40 PM
$80 is the cheapest face value ticket. that price ain't going down.]
2/28/2017 6:14:06 PM
^^Barring any significant injuries, I don't think the hype for that game is going anywhere but up. Two programs trending up, bringing back a lot of talent, hell we've started showing up in some preseason top 25 polls already. Plus opening week, SEC vs. ACC, teams looking to take the next step, Muschamp, too many things to talk about to see it really trending south.
3/1/2017 8:44:42 AM
Fair points, but I'll be really surprised if shit tickets don't drop to around 50-60 on stubhub, seatgeak, etc... in the weeks leading up to the game.
3/1/2017 8:49:16 AM
Our starting OL averages 6'4" 315. Yikes. Still smaller than Anya, haha.
3/1/2017 3:18:23 PM
The only ticket worth paying anything this year for would be going to South Bend. That is it.
3/2/2017 1:11:21 AM
I don't know, the Clemson game at home could be an interesting one.
3/2/2017 8:51:05 AM
Also Louisville[Edited on March 2, 2017 at 9:56 AM. Reason : Isn't skaterjaws an ecu fan anyways? Obviously we need more inflatable pirate ships ARRRRRGH]
3/2/2017 9:55:37 AM
yeah that's a silly thing to say. we get the defending national champs at home, the reigning Heisman winner at home on a Thursday night, and UNC is a home game this year too. UNC shouldn't be that good this year, but it'll still be a sell out game with demand for tickets on secondary markets.
3/2/2017 10:45:52 AM
LMBO! Why would I be an ecu anything? I am confused.
3/3/2017 1:53:55 AM
Sorry, skaterjaws. I have a hard time keeping track of all the damn ecu fans here
3/3/2017 1:07:56 PM
Really thought Josh Jones should return and a successful season could really push he and Chubb up in the draft, but Josh just killed the combine. For safeties he finished: #2 on bench press, #2 on 40, #2 on broad jump, and #3 on vertical.
3/6/2017 3:41:02 PM
yeah, he made a good decisionThunder Dan getting those guys to work!
3/6/2017 3:46:10 PM
^Except Tocho had an abysmal performance at the combine and already speculation with how bad he ran in the 40 and drills that he's going to have to consider moving to safety just to have a chance to make a team.
3/7/2017 8:36:49 AM
he ran a 4.54. that's not terrible. it's pretty average, which is what you would expect from him after watching him play.btw, he was second for DBs in bench press (21 reps) and had a good showing with a 35" vertical and 10'5" broad jump.that's not abysmal at all.i would say that Dayes is the one who had a poor combine showing.]
3/7/2017 8:49:35 AM
What did dayes do at the combine??
3/7/2017 9:06:27 AM
He didn't run but I think his vertical was poor
3/7/2017 9:17:47 AM
Anyone who seriously watched Dayes play knew who wouldn't test well. (No top end speed, etc..) He's a damn good player though and I wouldn't be shocked if he earned a niche somewhere in the league.
3/7/2017 9:26:27 AM
Tocho running a 4.5 and benching 21 reps is pretty impressive. He never looked fast on the team, but he's got pretty good ball skills. Will be interesting to see if he can carve out a role in the league.Dayes ran a pretty slow 40 in high school IIRC, like 4.7 or something. He's always been more quick than fast. I still think he could be great in the right offense as a pass-catching back ala Bryant Westbrook. He did have the biggest hands of any RB at the combine, so there's one thing going for him.
3/7/2017 9:32:29 AM
4.54 isn't awful, but it's not great, and apparently the reports of his running have people saying he should switch to safety. I mean, his bench press was good, but just for CBs(no safeties in this), he finished: 40 - tied for 21st, Vertical - tied for 12th, and Broad - tied for 8th. For a guy that was looking at 6th round or later to be drafted, he didn't really help his cause. Like I said, some analysts already saying he might have to project to safety after his combine showing. He was grouped under "fallers" after the combine.
3/7/2017 1:25:19 PM
Dayes tied for the lowest vertical and had the second lowest broad jump for RBs (but he did tie for 13th best bench press!). But you're telling me Tocho is the one who hurt his draft stock, by finishing near the top in 3/4 drills he participated in. 40 times are overrated. every single scout who's seen him play knows he's not a burner or a guy who makes up ground if he gets beat over the top. they don't need a 40 time to tell them that. even if he had ran a 4.3, it doesn't change how fast he plays.FYI Teez Tabor ran a 4.62. He should probably switch to safety as well.

No surprise there - he did not look promising in his snaps
3/17/2017 5:49:33 PM
Sucks that Doeren's best ever recruit washed out.
3/17/2017 7:25:23 PM
Brandon Barnes 2.0
3/17/2017 7:28:17 PM
3/17/2017 7:34:27 PM
He showed a strong pull-up jumper
3/17/2017 7:36:58 PM
Brandon Barnes is a great comparison. Ton of hype, recruited by big name schools, never did anything for us.
3/17/2017 9:31:19 PM
Barnes was hyped for his defensive skills. Not his RB ability.
3/20/2017 9:46:47 AM
Yeah the fact that Brandon Barnes was the back-up RB on his HS team should have let everyone know just how good of a RB he really was. He was a 5* ATH that should have played DB but he apparently didn't have the right mentality for defense so he wasted away at the bottom of the depth chart at RB.
3/20/2017 2:05:18 PM
I REALLY REALLY wish they would put the spring game on the same day as a baseball game. Why is that so difficult?

21-31, 61.5% is pretty comparable to Niklas Sade's first two years at State FWIW...(24-39, 61.5%). obviously that number needs some context (distance, mostly) and there's a disparity in number of attempts. but that isn't really bad necessarily. it's just not fantastic either.
3/30/2017 5:20:40 PM
Still an improvement over Bambard.
