buddy of mine I saw last February or so almost died the other day. Lives in a ~ 300k house, ha(d) a great sales job working for his dads company, wife/kid etc. Had NO clue he was on the shit. Pretty sure he may lose everything.

^^ sounds like he needs serious help. If his family is going to ruin his life, maybe that's part of the reason why he was an undercover junkie to begin with.

Pretty sure his family has been his saving grace. I know he has had his issues w/ whiskey before, never saw the H thing happening though.

^^^Because nobody is responsible for their own problems. It's always an outside influence.

The younger brother of one of my high school friends OD'd last week. He was 28. I don't know exactly what killed him but I think it was heroin. It's been bad in our hometown (Henderson) and, from what I've heard lots of deaths have been attributed to fentanyl mixed with heroin.

so my friends who are closer with my buddy who almost died tried to set up an intervention but it never materialized. He tried everything but the family is fed up with it. I don't think they understand drug use and what's at stake, or maybe they do and just gave up. Either way it's sad as shit. Another guy I went to HS with and was in the military has been missing for 4 months now. Seems like everybody is just waiting on the phone call for both of them.
