I generally liked HAIM's performances, but one of them was super repetitive. Felt like 10% verse and 90% chorus.

Bobby and Vanessa are leaving. Kenan will probably return.

I won't miss Vanessa at all.

[Edited on May 21, 2017 at 12:39 AM. Reason : She pretty one dimensional, and it doesn't work for me. Bobby is on the other hand ]

Vanessa is a solid SNL cast member. She will be missed.

Only caught Katy Perry's first performance last night...but I thought it was great. She's an entertainer fo 'sho.

I'm not a big fan of either of Katy Perry's songs from last night, but really I haven't liked any of her music since the Teenage Dream album.

Also I didn't know she cut her hair so that was a surprise.

Agreed. Her Super Bowl performance was incredible.

I don't really like any of Katy Perry's music (although she's definitely had some catchy tunes over the years) but she's hot and can put on a performance.

How is that slander? It's parody. SNL has done parodies from the very beginning.

it’s good, but their aesthetic is getting a bit played out

I’m glad there was another plotline other than just late-80’s/early90’s nostalgia

I'm just now realizing that Heidi Gardner is a person and it's not just Kristen Schaal doing some sketches

I thought the WIll Ferrel episode was pretty good.

And Christ Stapleton and Sturgil Simpson were great.

not really a throwback

it was a sequel that was just as good as the original. they nailed the production of it.

this guy thinks Michael Che and Colin Jost suck. Can't figure out if it was a successful troll for the "critic" or a successful clowning for Che, but I'm leaning towards the former.

background: https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2016/11/michael-che-and-colin-jost-should-not-host-weekend.html (but apparently there's way more on twitter etc)

i dont see why they would bring migos to do two insensitive songs in a time when they're supposed to be calling out racism and appropriation.

that and their performances had zero energy

^ you conveniently left out the other part of that sentence. I don’t listen enough to have an opinion, but “Bad and Boujee” and “T-Shirt” are awesome songs

^^ why do you keep trying to use that argument?

I like “Brown Paper Bag,” too; however, I wasn’t a huge fan of their SNL performances.

I can’t say that I’ve been a fan of many SNL musical performances this season; although, Sturgill Simpson stands out as being particularly good.
