Time for the annual predictions. Is there a Chelsea supporter on this site? Oh well I'll be their patron for a bit. Chelsea- 1stEveryone is rightly riding Pep's nuts and City's loaded roster, but I really really like Conte. Like Man United, the Blues have no Champions League, putting their entire focus on the Premiership. 1. Chelsea2. City3. Man U4. Arsenal5. Liverpool6. Spurs7. LC[Edited on August 7, 2016 at 3:18 PM. I think we are in for another wildly open race this year. If Arsenal can sign a CB and a striker I would actually make them favorites but they always fall short where it matters. I think the excuses are running out for Wenger and he realistically only has this year and maybe the next to deliver a title or a CL. Arsenal should recognize that they have some tremendous talent in the team at the moment and should go all out for a striker and CB. Depending on who those signings are I would make them favorites. Other than that it leaves Man City and Man United. I think United need to be in the conversation after signing Pogba. I believe it is too soon for the team to win the title this year but I expect us to be in the conversation. I believe United's chances hinge on how well Ibra does. If Ibra can give us 15+ goals we will be up there and in with a good shout. I am not convinced by Conte and Chelsea. I believe Conte is going to be one of the new managers to struggle in the premier league. I also don't think Chelsea has done enough to fix an aging defense. City faces the same problems as us with a new squad and manager. One team that has gone under the radar this summer is Tottenham. They have a largely similar squad but how they kick on from the disappointment that is the previous year will be interesting. My darkhorses for the title are Liverpool and Tottenham. Klopp is a great manager and I expect the liverpool team to give it their all for Klopp this season. I still believe at the end they may lack some star quality down the tough stretches and I still think Klopp will have to do some adjusting towards the second half of the season. His system is just too demanding physically for the EPL. On another note I hope Leicester go all out for the CL and try to make a deep run.My early prediction:- Man City- Arsenal- Man United- Liverpool/Tottenham[Edited on August 8, 2016 at 10:59 AM. Gonna miss those Geordies in the PL. Hope they get promoted next year

SpursCityLiverpoolMan UChelseaArseMissing the CL is probably the best thing to happen to Arsenal honestly, because that will finally be the ammo they need to put Wenger out to pasture. It seems as though he'll keep getting renewed as long as he delivers at least 4th each season. I get the feeling his contract status will be a grey cloud over their season, especially if they stumble out of the title race before March...

oh we back!BTW to everyone talking so much about money. Juve registered a net profit of 72.6 million euros. Official statement from them. United paid them 105 million and Juve deducted for auxiliary expenses (ie taxes and agent fees). So basically we got Juve to pay Riaola's fee (unlike previously reported) and only beat the world record transfer by about 4 million pounds. Ed Woodward hopefully has gotten a bargain if Pogba fulfills his potential. [Edited on August 9, 2016 at 10:16 AM. Reason : a]

Level headed people would say you should be getting someone like Messi or Ronaldo who will bag 40+ goals a season every year for a world record fee, not a player who may or may not fulfill their potential.Instead, they paid 100M for 50M player and feel like they got a deal which is funny.ibwazzatalkingabouthatersandtrollingwhenheknowsimright

Are people on Reddit saying you shouldn't spend money on non-goalscorers? Shouldn't of spent that £ on Roy Keane. What I'm saying is, how does it matter what we spend on a player? Its just a number.[Edited on August 9, 2016 at 12:27 PM. Reason : ]

If Moreno doesnt completely suck ass this year, Ill give Liverpool the 3rd spot.If he does, 5th at best. Fingers crossed Milner can help
8/10/2016 10:09:37 AM
Gabriel out for 2 months. Mertesacker out for 4-5 months. Who are Arsenals starters in defense then? Kos and Chambers with Holding as backup? That is a shaky defense at best and surely not a title winning one. Arsenal desperately need to get Mustafi in.On the Striker front Welbeck is out for 4-5 months. Leaves Giroud, Campbell, and Sanogo as the three strikers. Again some huge holes to fill. I actually believe Arsenal should go in for someone like Chicharito. He would fit well with Sanchez and Ozil providing service.Xhaka was a very good signing and with Elneny and Coqelin there is good depth there as well. Cazorla, Ramsey, and Wilshere provide good pairing opportunities for Arsenal. I think Arsenal desperately need to get Mustafi and a striker who can give them at least 15 goals for a serious title challenge. The spine of that team is there.

United to win the leaguemark that shit down
8/11/2016 8:53:50 PM
Next year yes, No way this year.
8/12/2016 9:11:06 AM
Yea I don't expect United to win the league this year to be honest. I expect both to be challenging for the title but Arsenal/Liverpool/Tottenham really have to step up to the plate to win it. If they all play similar to last year then yes I can see United and City sneak it if their performance level rise. Problem is too many new signings and in City's case a new manager that is unfamiliar with the league. These things take time to come together. That said Zlatan for me is the key for Man United's title bid. If he can get 15+ goals I can see us being up there.
8/12/2016 9:36:52 AM
If pool plays the way I believe we can play. We are easily top 3. If we play Klopp football consistently.
8/12/2016 9:46:16 AM
^ All that Ive been reading about is how he is whoopin their asses in conditioning so they can press all game, which is awesome. I think once he gets them up to par on that aspect, we can consistently compete for top 4 or even a Championship. We still need help on defense.
8/12/2016 10:07:32 AM
Yes, and not having 63 matches this year will help us make a huge push for the top. Ready for sunday!
8/12/2016 10:15:43 AM
^ I still think that the pressing game will hurt him in terms of depth and the fixture congestion (especially after December). I agree it helps not having European football but Liverpool still lack that one world class player who can make all the difference. That for me is why I don't see pool winning it but I certainly believe top 4 is achievable.

OH WE BACK!!!

Vardy. What a bad game. Kante obviously a huge loss. Midfield going to get overrun a lot.If Mahrez does leave top half would be accomplishment. If he stays, top six.[Edited on August 13, 2016 at 9:35 AM. Reason : City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool in that order]

Everton could be in for a solid year with a real coach finally.
8/13/2016 10:44:47 AM
Definitely. They looked lively yesterday, especially in the first half.Draw definitely wasn't the way I would have preferred to start but watching Everton I know they'll be other contending clubs dropping points in Goodison so it isn't the worst result.
8/14/2016 7:13:35 AM
Is this United's ideal lineup going forward?---- Rooney -- Zlatan ----Martial -- Pogba -- Mata---------- Herrera --------Fat -- Bailly -- Smalling -- ValenciaPretty good, maybe a little light in the midfield defensively because you'll need Pogba supporting the geezers up top. CB pairing potentially best in the league though. I think Bailly's a beast. I imagine Martial will see a lot of time up top with Rooney/Zlatan not being able to go every game for 90 min too. Where does Mkhitaryan fit in?
8/14/2016 10:29:57 AM
He'll be in Mata's spot once Jose kicks him out.
8/14/2016 10:59:02 AM
^^probably not
