Lol

Funny how there isn't a single trump supporter here that has anything remotely resembling a grip on reality.

^lol at the classic "it's ok for Mexicans to run across the border and have kids who automatically become US citizens because the white people took over the land that belonged to the Indians hundreds of years ago" argument. What happened hundreds of years ago isn't a valid excuse for allowing freebies to non-citizens and should be non-citizens.

So are you saying people whose parents originally came here illegally, but have been here so long that its all they really know should be able to stay?

You seem to think its a no brainer that white people born here are citizens but somehow the children of mexicans should not be citizens because their parents didn't in your mind "belong" here. You seem conflicted because on one hand you want to go back and punish crimes of the past but on the other hand you want to say things that happened long ago should be forgotten. You justify this xenophobic stance with "but we've been here a lot longer" as an excuse for the illegal actions of your ancestors so I really want you to be clear.

What, in your opinion, should be the statute of limitations on illegal immigration?

It's hard not to be when their reasons make literally zero sense.

Here are consistent reasons for voting for trump:
1) you hate america
2) you want to foment economic collapse to bring about a wild-west style America
3) youre wealthy and want to watch poor and middle class people suffer more
4) you're racist and are tired of having to hide it
5) You want to embolden Russia, China, S.A., Iran etc. to beef up their militaries and saber rattling
6) You legitimately think comprehensive, steep tariffs are a good policy to help Americans
7) You think a, unpredictable reality TV star that's a mediocre businessman, with no pertinent specialized knowledge or experience is a good choice to lead the country
8) You are an MMA fighter and have been hit in the head/knocked out 1 too many times

Oh horseshit. Don't blame the workers for what the employers are doing. I know as a republican you can't blame businesses and farmers for anything, as they are direct descendants of god. But immigrants didn't steal any fucking jobs. They didn't hold a gun to someone's head demanding employment at a lower wage. Your beloved system of ill-regulated capitalism lead to money-hungry business owners and farmers firing their work forces and hiring cheap, illegal workers. If you want to solve illegal immigration issues, then solve employment issues. Help Mexico solve its issues. A wall won't stop shit. Deportation won't stop shit.

1) There is a net negative flow of immigrants at out Southern border at present

2) Is there a single economist out there who thinks Trumps deportation plan would do anything but hurt the economy?

I've been in the construction industry with my dad off and on for many years. It's changed. More and more Hispanics are getting involved in it every year and willing to work for lower wages than white, or black people. Some subcontractors pay illegals under the table to save money too. The builders my dad works for have started going for the cheaper Hispanic labor over the past decade. No one really seems to even care about the quality of work anymore either.

Also, it's not our duty to help Mexico solve its problems. The only way that could possibly happen is if we send in our military to overthrow the country at which point we could install a new democracy that isn't corrupt. We know how well that works though.

So exactly like I said then. It's not the laborer's fault that your dad fired someone to hire another, cheaper employee, to save a few bucks.

No one said it was our duty to help Mexico solve its problems. But if you want to solve illegal immigration issues (which is becoming less of an issue every year recently, including negative immigration rates), then you have to solve the underlying issues. Many being problems within Mexico. So, either you help Mexico, if you really care about solving immigration issues. Or you really don't care about immigration issues, and you just want to spout some racist banter.

If we are so worried about illegal immigrant taking jobs, why doesn't the government just crack down on the companies hiring them....

Start enforcing $50K fines per illegal laborer and i'm sure the demand for illegal workers would tank.

Are you joking...? It's not schizophrenia, it's a looney thing to do by someone with some screws missing. I don't think anyone disputes Trump is a little messed up in the head, but the evidence just keeps mounting.

Trump wouldn't be trying to lie about it if it's such a good idea.

Trump is objectively a loose cannon, this isn't a two sides of the same coin situation.

You can't let yourself become desensitized to his nuttiness.

And trump is definitely crazy. Most people who would run for president have some level of personality disorder, but trump is clearly worse. His thin skin, aggressive past history, and this weird alternate, self congratulatory persona makes me think narcissistic personality disorder, but I'm not a doctor.

Trump is a loon though, shouldn't be anywhere near the presidency.

^ I think the point you are missing is it's not the immigrants fault they are willing to work for a lower wage. The blame in your scenario lies fully on the businesses who choose to employ the immigrants. You seem to be happy with capitalism until you get the raw end of the stick....

I'm voting for Trump because he is his own publicist. Other public figures have a publicist who speaks for them and tells them when not to reveal personal feelings or drama.
Trump is his own person and doesn't need that shit.

Yeah, since he's doing a great job being his own publicist. It's basically like someone insisting on being their own lawyer because they think they're smarter than the most seasoned professional. That rarely ends well. People who fall for his scam act that he's above needing a publicist or actually is qualified to be president are idiots.

Just pointing out that the fear mongering from the left is eerily similar to the fear mongering from the right a couple elections ago. OMG we don't want this corrupt community organizer who is friends with domestic terrorists running this country! This Obama candidate is a serious, serious threat to the future of the United States and I am genuinely scared of what might happen to our country!

Of course not everyone is going to pick up on that if they have strong political feelings to one side or the other.
