Los Spuuuuurs!
4/30/2016 9:26:17 PM
Ok, I didn't expect okc to be very competitive in this series but jesus... Granted they are rested but this is a whitewash. I think it's pretty clear durant needs to go elsewhere to win but i mean i can't think of anywhere to go besides golden state. His window is really shrinking to win a title. Between his foot injury and the relative strength/youth of gsw and sas he's got serious issues.I think his best case scenario is curry comes back out of sync and spurs take them down. Then he can safely go to golden state without looking like a total sidekick
4/30/2016 10:10:11 PM
i heard justice winslow has won a championship on every team he's ever played for
5/1/2016 3:05:15 PM
So has Kemba Walker minus Charlotte. That's not exactly a thing that's never been done.
5/1/2016 5:19:34 PM
yeah but when you say "except charlotte" then its not the same until the heat are eliminated.
5/1/2016 5:26:32 PM
has Winslow won a title with the Heat?
5/1/2016 5:59:40 PM
he's a rookie
5/1/2016 6:03:35 PM
Dragic had an amazing game today. Miami finally found a way to play some solid D.
5/1/2016 6:14:09 PM
Man, GSW looked amazing on defense. I don't think they'll perform that well in Portland, but man they looked good today.
5/1/2016 8:11:30 PM
Portland is pretty overrated. They did a good job filling out their roster with good players like aminu, ed davis, plumlee, etc but i mean they're still very uncompetitive against the warriors sans curry. McCollum getting most improved is silly, he actually didn't really improve surprisingly. I like Crabbe more than mccollum. How the heck do you let klay go off like this without curryBut nothing is more laughable than Crawford getting 6th man of the year. You could make a strong argument he was the worst 6th man in the league. Sometimes you just have to wonder about nba writers. Like how lazy can you be
5/1/2016 11:00:21 PM
I don't think they're overrated, they definitely overachieved. This series has a warriors in 6 feel to it, while OKC may get swept. I know Steph is making noise about coming back in a come of games, but I don't think he needs to push it. They're better off if he let's it get as close to 100% as possible before they play SAS.
5/1/2016 11:34:34 PM
Curry is the best player in the league. Should win MVP however it should be suspect watching his team win without him
5/2/2016 12:16:00 AM
Steve Kerr got CotY and coached like half a season, too
5/2/2016 12:37:22 AM
Luke Walton should be pissed and the only thing he got to show for it is being the new coach of the god awful Lakers
5/2/2016 12:57:07 AM
Marc Jackson arguably instilled the toughness in that team (and of course Draymond) so he should be pissed
5/2/2016 1:11:11 AM
@face why is crawford winning the 6th man so outrageous? I'm curious in your reasoning.
5/2/2016 11:59:47 AM
Green should have been most improved. I hate how they only g8ve that award to players who arent great.
5/2/2016 1:34:37 PM
does horford really have no left? they are giving him a straight line drive every time and he won't take it. Thats pretty sad for a player of his alleged caliber.
5/2/2016 9:03:58 PM
Also, somebody tell me what the deal is with hinrich.
5/2/2016 9:15:48 PM
was there ever any doubt? You could see kyrie say "we gotta start actually playing now" when the hawks caught up. Its almost like the hawks never scored after that. What a shitty matchup.
5/2/2016 9:35:06 PM
Crawford was always a poor defender that doesn't pass or rebound, but now he's not even a good scorer/shooter... I mean hes barely playable anymore so he obviously shouldnt be winning any awards
5/2/2016 11:29:12 PM
westbrook's tantrum shows why he's not a superstar
5/2/2016 11:40:09 PM
but why did green throw that lob to mills?
5/3/2016 12:09:36 AM
That last scramble was absurd.I'm guessing the nba says it should have been some type of violation on waiters. I thought durant definitely got fouled on the inbounds though. And then it looked like a lot of contact on the final loose ball but i couldn't quite tell if it was a foul because they never zoomed in or showed a good angle. Aldridge is playing disgusting. I thought they played duncan too much he was really bad. The spurs shot terribly and still almost pulled it out so they still look like large favorites but I definitely didn't expect them to lose one at home. Huge win for okc to make this series at least appear competitive. They've got so much talent but they have to have at least one bad player on the court at all times bexcuse they have such a collection of terrible role players besides adams/kanter, ibaka, durant, Westbrook. Payne is actually pretty good but they quit using him for awhile and he stunk tonight
5/3/2016 12:38:45 AM
I love how the NBA admitted to making FIVE freaking incorrect officiating calls during those last 13 seconds. It's so ridiculous that it almost makes the NBA unwatchable at times. The fucked up thing is that filing an official protest would be a total waste of time. Why even bother saying anything if nothing is going to happen?
5/3/2016 4:55:06 PM
What were the five?1. Manu crossing the line?2. Waiters fouling manu?3. 5 second violation?4. Green fouling durant?5. Ibaka fouling Aldridge?Thats just my guess
5/3/2016 5:42:44 PM
Coach of the year inexplicably playing varajao.
5/3/2016 11:15:28 PM
This is closer to the kind of game I expected to see in a Steph-less series.
5/4/2016 12:27:00 AM
Its not just close, Portland has been in command start to finish. I definitely didn't expect that considering the talent differential even without Curry.
5/4/2016 12:49:07 AM
GSW has such crazy depth they really should win this series even without Steph. I'm just saying I expected competitive games in this series, not like the blowout in game 1.
5/4/2016 1:03:29 AM
Holy Shit, Portland what an embarrassing last 2 minutes. They just quit as soon as GSW took the lead.
5/4/2016 1:11:56 AM
That was incredible. Dame played his ass off for 3Qs, but it just wasn't enough. Go Dubs
5/4/2016 1:16:36 AM
THE CLEVELAND CLINIC
5/4/2016 8:56:31 PM
the state of the nba is awful. i know there were a lot of 7 game series but none of those teams had a chance of winning anyway so it was all just a waste of time. they need to address parity. 4 teams with a chance to win it all every year is weak.[Edited on May 4, 2016 at 9:33 PM. Reason : the SJW in me had to go back and edit out the word lame]
5/4/2016 9:17:09 PM
What's your suggestion? Eliminate state income taxes in the smaller market teams' states? Mandatory equal endorsement deals for every player?I mean, they're not gonna do anything that cuts their profits, so 5-game first round series won't happen. And reducing the number of teams in the playoffs won't happen. So, deal with it, I guess.[Edited on May 4, 2016 at 9:22 PM. Reason : .]
5/4/2016 9:21:28 PM
5/4/2016 9:35:29 PM
5/4/2016 9:48:24 PM
Only 4 teams that have a chance to win it all has been pretty much the whole entire NBA history. You would been pissed off to the fullest watching Bill Russell win 11 championships The NBA has been excellent the last 10 yrs even tho predictable. Its really the only sport that reward the best team in the sport.
5/4/2016 10:07:09 PM
I guarantee that GSW are going to try to beat this Cavs 3 pt record. And they probably do it.
5/4/2016 10:10:34 PM
The golden eras of the NBA had more than 4 teams having a shot. The Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Spurs...oh wait.
5/4/2016 11:46:53 PM
the clippers will once lebron leaves the cavs to join them when they trade blake & picks to cleveland for him.
5/4/2016 11:58:15 PM
Ahahahahahahaha! Not a fucking chance. The Doc the GM is ruining the Clippers for Doc the coach. Clippers have to make a decision on Blake or DJ. I think they'd be wise to do something like try to trade Blake for Paul George. Clippers could be good running out CP3, PG13, Crawford, Reddick, and DJ.
5/5/2016 4:00:18 AM
Wait, I thought all of the speculation was that the Clippers were going to trade Paul to the Cavs for Kyrie, not that Lebron would leave Cleveland...again, haha.
5/5/2016 8:45:10 AM
For someone who is as great a basketball player as lebron james, he sure does bitch at the refs a lot. Even when doubling up the other team late in a playoff game.
5/5/2016 8:57:17 AM
Just about every NBA star does that. If you believed Tim Duncan he's never actually committed a foul in his career. According to Kevin Durant he's fouled on every jump shot. Jordan talked to the refs the whole game. It's just part of the NBA culture. Coaches don't lobby the refs like they do in college because the players can do it themselves in the NBA.
5/5/2016 10:50:58 AM
5/5/2016 11:02:02 AM
whole lotta dumb going on in Toronto right now
5/5/2016 10:47:42 PM
The nba level of play is at an all time high. You just seem to deflect a lot of personal misery.
5/6/2016 12:10:06 AM
So are you saying that about the top 4 teams? Or everybody else? Do you really think fhe rest of the league is at an all time high?
5/6/2016 12:21:39 AM
I agree with face. It's just better basketball, objectively, than any time in history. You might be able to make an argument for a point when the NBA had way fewer teams, but even then the skill level of the players and understanding of the game was much lower. NBA is actually kind of hard to compare because of massively significant rule changes in the last decade, but overall I think it's safe to say that it's just a better game now than in the 70s, 80s, 90s or any time before.
