lololol race control had to throw the debris caution before Truex lapped half the field in the first green flag run

i hate it when little douche wins but kansas was good for a down force race. also, burn outs are cool and all but when they destroy the rear of the car it makes me think they are hiding something back there all star race rules will bring some drama for a change: Segment 1 (50 laps): Field set determined by qualifying, mandatory green-flag pit stop for a minimum of two tires;· Break 1 (3-5 minutes): Mandatory pit stop with a minimum two-tire change before Segment 2;· Segment 2 (50 laps): Field set determined by pit-road exit, one mandatory green-flag pit stop for a minimum of two tires before lap 85;· Break 2 (3-5 minutes): Random draw to decide whether the top nine, 10 or 11 cars must enter pit road for a mandatory four-tire pit stop, pit road closed for all other cars, pit-road exit determines Segment 3 starting order, cars leaving pit road line up behind cars that did not pit;· Segment 3 (13 laps): Only green-flag laps count (NASCAR Overtime procedures apply).[Edited on May 8, 2016 at 9:43 AM. Goofy rules about how many tires you have to change under green before lap 47 of a 50 lap segment while you Pat your head and rub your tummy on the third Saturday of every other month but only during leap years. Good lord let's just race. I wanna go fast.
5/21/2016 10:40:08 PM
^ They get way too cute with the rules for this thing and the Busch Clash/Bud Shootout/Sprint Showdown/whatever the hell it's called now.

What a clusterfuck
5/21/2016 11:01:49 PM
perhaps NASCAR gave Kenseth a one lap penalty because they were pissed off with him sticking half the field a lap down

pretty safe to say we wont see 2016 all star rules again. what a cluster. feel bad for larSON, wish he could have held off squinty douchy eyes
5/22/2016 12:13:18 AM
From another message board:
5/22/2016 8:41:28 AM
I think the guys in the booth even mentioned that maybe the penalty was planned. Then they kinda laughed it off as a joke.
5/22/2016 8:59:23 AM
Brad keselowski came up with these rules with nascar. It seems like they had one 2 hour meeting and was like, "ok, that'll work, see ya Saturday night." Complete cluster. The cars are so much racier now that the crazy stupid changes aren't necessary.
5/22/2016 10:27:47 AM
crazy how dumb nascar was not to have a plan for the kenseth not pitting under green scenario. all they had to do is allow those cars trapped a lap down to wave around before the segment pit stopsthe solution for all star race is so simple. keep 50-50-13 but make pitting OPTIONAL through out whole event. that way some there will be old tires at front of last segment. make crew chiefs earn it.

The NFL constantly changes rules too.The rules for the all-star race were ridiculous, but they always screw with the format for that race.

5/23/2016 1:19:53 PM
^^ It is one thing to tweak and adjust. Nascar has made drastic changes to the sport almost consistently the pass 10 years or so. The chase has changed almost every year since it started in some significant way.
5/23/2016 1:24:32 PM
they've gotten the cars back to raceability. Thats all that really needs tweaking. They need to leave well the fuck alone with everything else
5/23/2016 6:13:06 PM
Even I will admit that, with the exception of plate tracks, the racing action has gotten better.

they never showed a replay but when i saw it live it looked like larSON had race won but on last turn slid it sideways on purpose and lost crap load of spots. the reason he would do that is cause he had outlaw kart qualifying races to get to in salisbury last night and didnt want to stick around for podium photos

hope the 78 can hold onto this one
5/29/2016 9:10:06 PM
damn, truex took em behind the woodshed. good for him.
5/30/2016 10:42:21 AM
Watched it this morning. Super dominant win for Truex, led 392 out of 400 laps. Best race ever in the history of Furniture Row Racing.Attended Indy yesterday. It was super packed. Most fans that have attended I've seen easily and this was my 11th race.-Hunter-Reay had to be furious last night from his pit lane incident taking him out. He had the best car yesterday in my opinion.-Turned to the person next to me with 5-6 to go and said "I have no idea who's going to win." I was thinking it was too long for anyone to attempt to make it on fuel mileage.-I was at the entrance to turn 3 and Rossi on lap 199 backed way off the throttle right there. I thought for sure he'd ran out of fuel but he was able to do the last lap and a half. Very surprising winner. Rossi is driving in Indycar this year because he got passed over by Manor and Haas for F1 drives. It was pretty much a last minute deal with Bryan Herta and Michael Andretti putting him in the car. I suspect he'll be in a Haas F1 car in 2017 now. If he's not, Haas' "American Formula One team" marketing is all bullcrap.-I was hoping for Newgarden to win. From Tennessee, would've been a great winner. Thought he had it.-Penske and Ganassi had really bad days yesterday.
5/30/2016 11:03:56 AM
nothing lamer than a fuel mileage race[Edited on May 30, 2016 at 1:15 PM. Reason : except maybe a rain out where the winner only wins because he didn't pit]
5/30/2016 1:14:16 PM
^dunno have seen some good ones. This year's Busch race at Cali when little douche was blocking Dillon with a flat tire is one
5/30/2016 3:15:31 PM
Gonna have to disagree. It's a lame way for a race to be decided.
5/30/2016 3:19:28 PM
It's cool if everyone is facing the fuel mileage. It's lame if a car that hasn't even cracked the top 10 all day wins the race by cutting his car off for the last half lap basically
5/30/2016 3:21:39 PM
No, still lame. "Ooo, let's see who's better at pussyfooting through the last 50 laps!"
5/30/2016 3:58:31 PM
That's such a dumbass point of view.Goal is to make it to the finish line first. If you don't think fuel mileage should play a role, why do you watch any race longer than a hundred miles?
5/30/2016 7:33:32 PM
I didn't say it shouldn't play a role. I'm just saying I think it's lame, especially when it happens way more than it used to because they put tiny fuel tanks in the cars. I like to see drivers push the limit. Y'all like to see them drive like hypermilers. That's cool. To each his own.

Mike Wallace and his daughter Lindsey were beaten by three men in the parking lot of PNC music pavilion in Charlotte after a concert this weekend. Pretty awful story. I actually grew up and graduated with Lindsey. These guys actually fled in their company truck afterwards and it's been reported they've been involved in two other beatings like this already this summer.
