^^ & ^ samemore facebook funny:"I still love gay people. I'm not judging gay people."Of course that's posted shortly after posting that the FUCKING WORLD IS COMING TO AN END DUE TO THE EVIL THAT IS HOMOSEXUALITY. But totes not judging you.
6/27/2015 1:26:39 PM
BanjoMan makes an important point to me.I mean, we've crafted all these arguments for why homosexuality is "okay." But it was never really something we needed to argue. The emphasis we place on it not being a choice makes sense, but folks should probably mind their business either way. And the real test to qualify as "okay" is whether or not it hurts others. Cause there are plenty of things that are not a choice that are also really, really not okay.
6/27/2015 2:07:10 PM
Actually there should be an emphasis on it not being a choice as long as religious groups keep thinking they can change people's "choice" to be gay with religious counseling which psychologically damages people.-A HOOPS HAWT TAKE

I, for one, like this HOOPS fella
6/27/2015 3:22:58 PM
I for one won't be happy until gay couples in long term, committed relationships are forced to marry.
6/27/2015 3:26:30 PM
Thanks Bronco. I love you too.
6/27/2015 3:27:36 PM
^^^^I understand. I have at least one friend who tortured himself for years trying to reconcile his feelings for men with the religious upbringing provided by his family's particular church. It's terrible. But, really, whether or not it's a choice should not matter. That approach implicitly invites criticism and scorn to actual choices that hurt no one. Despite the fact that the U.S. is always depicted as the most backwards of the post-industrial nations, we really still enjoy the most diversity and, in some ways, freedom. Choice or no choice, folks should mind their business. Also, are we done with this? Like, I know there are a few more protections we need to secure for gay folks, but otherwise, we're done, right? Or do we have to keep at it tryna win over people who sincerely believe in sin...?[Edited on June 27, 2015 at 3:28 PM. Reason : sss]

I dont care about "winning over people". I care about Gays being allowed to live their lives without brain scar damage caused by people running religious brain washing camps. Believe whatever dumbshit you want as far as I'm concerned. Hell, i believe a lot of dumb shit. Have yall heard of this chem trail thing? its cray man. seriously cray.

I don't think that the bosses would get involved in this stuff, because in general the management tends to employ the Swiss policy of complete neutrality when it comes to a line drawn in the sand. Meaning that they would just let whatever was happening happen without directly getting involved. In regards to the work environment, however, you would definitely here words like faggot and fag used in a derogatory context that I don't really think exist so much in liberal working atmospheres in the US. This happens quite often here, and it pisses me off that it is socially acceptable to be openly bigoted about homosexuality, and yet Americans get criticized for being the "backwards types". I certainly don't think that it would go as far as being fired, but you would prefer to keep it a secret rather than telling people about it like they do in the US. I'd imagine that the experience would be something similar to what a gay guy would see in the Marines. Just as an example, once the news broke out about this decision, I started asking around at the university if anybody knew of an openly gay person in the entire institute. Most responses were something along the lines of "eww I hope not, but I am pretty sure that we don't have any in this institute." But there isn't one.[Edited on June 27, 2015 at 6:16 PM. Reason : g]

so polygamy is pretty much guaranteed to be made legal now, right?
6/27/2015 6:21:44 PM
Lawyers be like "bring on the divorces!"Wonder if there will be lawyers who specialize in gay divorce.
6/27/2015 6:26:31 PM
gay adoption will be the next "issue" taken up by the religious right
6/27/2015 6:52:52 PM
it shouldn't go very far, they have already argued in court that gay marriage harmed children and it didn't stand up
6/27/2015 6:54:08 PM
we also had a SCOTUS decision on abortion decades ago, but the religious right continues to try to restrict it
6/27/2015 6:59:07 PM
Of course, they want you to have kids, but won't help you take care of them once they get here. #Conservative

Consensual incest and marriage between close relatives should absolutely be legal. Polygamy should also be legal. The standard should he consenting adults, that's all you really need to worry about.

I'd mate with JeffreyBSG's sister. The first step is working my way into his inner circle though, so I need to become Facebook friends with him first
6/28/2015 9:15:23 AM
I don't have a sister, alas. (I feel like if I did though, she'd be really bangin')as an alternative, EMCE, perhaps you'd like to adopt the project of trying to bang all my exes? (that would degrade me almost as much.) I sent you a friend request to get you started.

Yes, that is their well-coached excuse to everything. But, the bottom-line is that Germans live in a society dominated by white Germans, and they can just get away with it because nobody except for the Americans and Brits are really gonna complain about it.
6/29/2015 1:54:08 AM
I work with a lot of Germans here in the states and can't say I've experienced any of what BanjoMan is saying. Doesn't mean it's not legitimate though. Could be that either the ones that come here are more open minded, or the behavior is adapted to the PC culture is the U.S.

Lived in Europe for 2.5 years, can confirm, parts of Europe are racist/homophobic as all hell. Africans (not Black people, but people literally who were born in Africa and have emigrated) and Gypsies/Roma are typically the targeted groups
6/29/2015 8:41:01 AM
Do Europeans make it a point to hyphen African onto the race of every black in their country?African-BritishAfrican-GreekAfrican-Russian
6/29/2015 8:55:20 AM
No, not really. In part, because many Black people who have lived in Europe for generations don't want to be identified with Africa.
6/29/2015 8:58:00 AM
Aren't there some European countries where you have to pretty much prove you will be an asset to their country before you can become a citizen...like Switzerland, or some of those other blondie/blue eyes country?
