Waiters was playing with LBJ who loves to pass the ball, JR Smith was playing with Melo who hates to pass. Smith might fit in well with the Cavs.

Kobe isn't an elite player and hasn't been for at least 3 or 4 years now. His defense is horrifically bad, he's not efficient, and he makes his team worse. Yes, 17 assists, but look at his numbers on the season:

37.2% from the field, 29.6% from 3pt, -8.4 +/-, a PER of around 17... he's just not having a very good season. Even his raw numbers are pretty mediocre. He's at best the 4th or 5th best SG in the western conference.

Told you guys on page 2 that Kobe has no chance to catch Malone in career points. His body is too fragile now and he will never be able to consistently drop 20-25 ppg again. He may be able to stick around as a role player and a scoring threat off the bench, but no way he can hold up for 35 min a game for 70+ games anymore.

In lots of sports, sometimes your skill set fits better in another scheme. Smith's best years in Denver usually had an Andre Miller or Felton dishing it to him, right?

yea it was, but his game isn't any different. he shoots the ball from areas of the court. he shot selection looks better but I think that because Lebron and Irving are better set up players. Magsov(sp?) is the best trade of the year.


I think the Hawks are second round out or they will struggle like pacers did last year in the playoffs

His game isn't any different but his role is and his effectiveness is. That's my point. You see trades or moves in basketball, football, etc where a player seems to have talent but doesn't do anything. Then they go to another system and they excel.

I'll definitely watch All Star Saturday then halfass watch the game on Sunday

You guys know Smith is a better three point shooter than Waiters, correct?? For that reason alone he was an upgrade and not "the same player". And he's a ball-stopper in the sense that he'll jack up a ton of threes...but he doesn't take over possessions by dribbling the ball and [unsuccessfully] driving to the rim.

Waiters was a ball dominant 2-guard. You don't need that with Irving and Bron on your team. Smith is a marksman as a catch-and-shoot three point guy...he's perfect for this Cleveland team.
