good video

one of the things that make Jacoby good is also going to cause the types of turnovers he had yesterday. He makes plays in the face of pressure, but he doesnt have great instincts about when to do so. Many times he forced off a throw while he was getting hit or about to instead of protecting the ball, caught up to him in the 2nd half. Love just about everything else he does though!
9/28/2014 1:35:18 PM
I will now admit that Brissett is better than Daniel Imhoff.
9/28/2014 1:52:41 PM
Y'all are missing all the important points here.1. Jacoby is clearly the sexiest man in college football.2. It seems he really is a serious, dedicated dude with no time for triflin hos like myself.3. I am personally devastated by these tragic circumstances.

I'll comfort you, bridget

This has nothing to do with Glennon. I don't know why the fuck you are bringing that up.And yes, he was the best qb on the field yesterday.
9/28/2014 11:31:02 PM
Maybe if he makes fun of the fictional people who hated glennon, we'll forget that he was the biggest herb sendek fluffer
9/28/2014 11:40:45 PM
a bit selective. glennon got plenty of hate (http://thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=630525). and i was never much of a fan of herb but he did better than his successor.o'doyle jacoby rules!
9/29/2014 12:21:15 AM
Yeah plenty of folks weren't crazy about Glennon...probably because of the circumstances around Wilson leaving for Wiscy.BUt Jacoby is golden god. Dude's thrown one INT all year and that was in the first half vs Ga So when he was looking a tab rusty. This offense is a fucking delight to watch.
9/29/2014 8:29:49 AM
Still can't believe the TD play and the pass to Dayes while being sacked. Glad to have a functioning and fun offense back.
9/29/2014 8:36:29 AM
Jacoby got some love this morning on Mike & Mike. Greenberg said he "absolutely fell in love with the NC State quarterback." Granted, Greeny falls in love with a lot of players and teams, but still pretty cool to hear (and well-deserved).

ha, look at skooiann's negativity in the glennon thread. there was plenty of irrational hate for glennon.but let's talk about jacoby.
9/29/2014 10:33:08 AM
He looked a little like Wilson on some of those scrambling plays. While he's not as fast/quick as Wilson...he's got that same "feel" for pressure...knowing when to throw it away, when to tuck it and run, and where to go with the ball. He's got a nice touch on the ball as well. We're either feast or famine with our QBs. I guess it would be nice not to have to go through the Davis/Stone/Beck/Thomas/Mitchell shit-storm...but it sure is nice when the ballers are here (Rivers/Wilson/Glennon/Brisset).Getting a little ahead of myself...but how awesome would it be if we had Rivers/Wilson/Glennon/Brisset starting for NFL teams in a couple years??[Edited on September 29, 2014 at 11:44 AM. Any word on lingering injuries from Saturday? The kid is a rock but he took a lot of hits in the pocket.[Edited on September 29, 2014 at 11:23 AM. Reason : punc]

haven't heard anything....i'm sure he's a bit banged up. but doesn't seem like anything too serious
9/29/2014 11:25:00 AM
DD said post-game it was cramps, fwiwNot sure if it's a smoke-screen or not, just relaying the message
9/29/2014 1:43:00 PM
It was cramps.I'm more worried about all the hurt FSU players.[Edited on September 29, 2014 at 1:48 PM. Reason : He was sucking down powerade walking off the field and they were rubbing his calves and shit.]

Jacoby got an IV after the game, but looked fine leaving the Murphy Center after the game. No ice wraps or normal wrap.
9/29/2014 2:40:53 PM
there are people on packpride seriously worried that Jacoby might go to the NFL after this year...
9/29/2014 4:58:42 PM
I don't see why that's surprising. He's killing it right now. If he can keep this pace up, he would definitely get drafted. Is he really 6'4"? Announcer said that on Saturday and I don't see it. Maybe 6'2" at the most.

I'm ok with those turnovers, because if he's not playing like that, we lose by 40.
9/29/2014 7:40:54 PM
agreed, just partially trying to pull back the "only 1 int!!" comment. Also, I think he has been a tad lucky so far that no more of his prayers have been turnovers. I think he needs some work on his decision making when facing pressure, but if that means he loses his playmaking instinct by overthinking things, probably not worth tinkering. work on that in the offseason.
9/29/2014 7:50:58 PM
people said the same thing about wilson
9/29/2014 8:09:33 PM
Told ya after the Spring game that he was a legit QB. Some folks were saying he sucked during summer practice and now you have to eat crow.
9/29/2014 10:29:15 PM
He's got one of those records coming like Russell had...how many passes complete now without an INT?
9/29/2014 11:39:47 PM
Jacoby still not willing to take a sack, resulted in a fumble and near pick 6

does anyone have a Jacoby highlight video for the Clemson game? /s
10/6/2014 11:42:12 AM
I still appreciate him. Guy was getting no time in the pocket.
10/6/2014 11:54:54 AM
Starting to get a little concerned that FSU was a mirage. His accuracy reminds me of Donovan McNabb, he will complete ten in a row and then throw five in a row in the ground. And learn how to hold on to the ball!!!
10/11/2014 11:41:01 PM
imagine what he could do with a pocket?remember that tiime we had RW3 and he looked silly all the time running around and making crazy throws. then he left and everyone realized he was one of the best qbs in the world.

what's the deal with this Football Savages blog on Jacoby?
7/28/2015 8:15:26 PM
some blog wrote a post essentially saying the jacoby brissett was overrated and was only a pretty solid QB, not a great QB. they seemed to be talking mostly about draft potential, not how good of a college QB he was. while i do agree with their assessment that Brissett isn't a great QB (definitely pretty damn good...but not great, certainly does have flaws), i don't know where they get the notion that he's overrated. he got 6 votes for 1st team All ACC QB, with 4 QBs receiving more votes than him. i really don't see people hyping him up all that much. also, a part of that post was that the writer broke down film of Brissett. but only used film from the Ga Southern game (Brissett's first game in 2 years) and the Clemson game (maybe the toughest D Brissett will face his whole career).and then i guess people just tweeted and trolled the blog, the blog returned the favor by egging on more State fans. just a dumb thing overall
