This game has always been, and will always be, about buckets...

Vandy = Ballers
11/30/2013 9:47:24 PM
Big guy Vandy was ballin out!Have to love that Dez Lee and Cat were looking to get him action late. That's a very good sign of genuine chemistry. Which should be priority #1 for any team. Go pack!
11/30/2013 9:48:40 PM
WarrenCatVandyThose dudes were in beast mode tonight. Warren's gone after this year, but my god, if he stays... Cat, the twins, and Warren would run some shit.
11/30/2013 9:49:58 PM
if Nard gets demoted, who starts in his place? do we go with 3 guards?
11/30/2013 9:51:37 PM
Warren with 30 and 11Hell, Vandy damn near had a double double with 14 and 8.This team may not win many in the ACC this year, but they're by far my favorite team to watch in forever. I'm loving the extra passes being made to the open man vs. padding stats. Warren is just ridiculously smooth.

Nah, last year's team was more fun to watch. Although oddly I attribute that more to Wood and Howell than Brown and Leslie.
11/30/2013 9:57:15 PM
This team will earn everything they get and I'm excited to watch. Weird to see a team that cares.
11/30/2013 9:57:41 PM
we're a 3 point shooter away from being a dangerous teamjust looked it up -- we're 331st in made 3's
11/30/2013 10:00:45 PM
Lewis needs to be hanging out with Archie Miller and Chris Corchiani. He's a defensive liability, but his passing + a 35-40% three point shot would be nuts.
11/30/2013 10:14:12 PM
he'll probably play for Archie next year
11/30/2013 10:17:51 PM
He'd have to sit a year if he transfers. He ain't going anywhere.
11/30/2013 10:21:40 PM
I'm with youhe'd be stupid to transfer
11/30/2013 10:23:23 PM

Cat is so much better than Lewis.Lewis' passing isn't very valuable if he can't break down the defense. Barber is just as capable passing it around the perimeter, too.Barber is just as good a shooter, defends better, and breaks down the defense much better.
12/1/2013 1:12:21 AM
People tend to forget we have Trevor Lacey sitting out this year. He will play over the Martins. He was arguably Alabama's best player for two seasons.
12/1/2013 1:14:14 AM
12/1/2013 1:15:43 AM
Don't know about this year, but for all the turnover free play from Lewis last year, he killed us on defense. If he slightly improves in that area, there is no reason he can't see the floor alongside Cat.
12/1/2013 1:26:22 AM
Not holding my breath on that. Height and speed are genetic.Cat's and Dez Lee's penetration are creating a feast for Vandy. Also, the way Cat attacks the basket is how Lorenzo should have done it last year. Cat looks for that chance basically every time he gets the ball. Lorenzo looked for penetration only occasionally. [Edited on December 1, 2013 at 1:40 AM. Reason : .]

Too bad we didn't rebound or force turnovers well enough to win only on transition.
12/1/2013 1:54:27 AM
When Lorenzo forced the action in halfcourt we were at our best. He just wasnt wired to attack. Probably the most frustrating player ive seen here he could've been a great one.
12/1/2013 2:11:29 AM
^him and CJ together was a frustrating duo. Also, for next years team, Trevor Lacey may be the best or 2nd best player on our team. Don't forget about him. Caleb will probably be the one Martin twin that will play seeing as how we need guys that can shoot...and he can shoot apparently. Cody is labeled as more of a defender, do what it takes to win kinda guy that does most everything well, just not anything great. You like to have those kinds of players, but with the numbers of experienced players we'll have next year...I don't know how much he'll see the floor.
12/1/2013 8:57:13 AM
Lewis is the future Wojo.
12/1/2013 10:33:13 AM
^^yep, next year Lacey, Lee and Turner will get the majority of minutes on the wings. Cat will probably play 10-15 minutes at the 2 when Lewis is running point. Doesn't leave a whole lot of minutes for the Martin twins next season. In the post, hopefully the combination of Freeman, Washington, Anya and Abu will give us a strong presence down low on both ends.
12/1/2013 5:58:40 PM
I'm just excited that in 2014 we might actually have good, solid depth for the first time in a long time. Barring any transfers or injuries, we'll run 11-deep with touted, scholarship players with good experience. And that's counting on TJW leaving. However, at least one player has transferred the past 6 seasons, so that trend will probably continue. I could see Anya transferring moreso than Lewis.
