I get that error too, and the status of my identity verification has gone from "Pending" back to "Not verified"also it's like all my hard work filling out that application was wasted

I keep trying to finish the application I supposedly never finished and it says page not found.GG assholes

I'm hoping they validate my identity; I think I filled out the new application with no sanitization errors.

^^^ but the gov't is always efficient with the taxpayers' money... they never waste it or generally suck at spending it wisely.

Still not working for me. They asked me some personal security questions, which I answered correctly, but they said I was wrong. So then they made me scan and email my Driver's License info in, which I did, and it says it's still pending. When I tried to click on it, it asks me I have to sit there and fill in everything all over again, from teh beginning. It's a pain in the ass. Idk what to do.

looking more like a trainwreck every day
10/17/2013 12:04:13 PM
Why is anyone surprised by this? How many of you have ever had a positive experience at the DMV or with the IRS or with any government agency? Why would you think that the people who make it stupidly difficult to give them money would actually have a navigable (forget about user friendly) website for something this vast?Honestly, you would be better served just to walk into a BCBS office. There's one in Morrisville, just save yourself the time and aggravation.

Still will not let me advance. I can't start another form either as it says you can only have one application per state. And I see no way to cancel one once it is in progress. Boo.

i have to deal with federal regulators and they are usually pretty good to work with. response times have increased since budgets were cut post-sequestration, but otherwise its fine. they are very good with reviewing risk-based alternatives that differ from the exact requirements in federal regulations.

the only unpleasant experiences I have are with the license plate agency in Washington (nc)the people that own it are just some unhappy, hateful people.

I spoke with one of the online chat support folks, because I wanted to get in and just compare the plans available. They told me that I had to actually apply for the healthcare before I could see the plans. I stopped right there. It would be ok if it was just needing to create a login and password to the site...tons of other sites make you do that to use them. But no, they want me to apply, meaning giving them my family income, ssn, and other information. Nope. Sure they already have it, and more, but I'm not going to voluntarily make it easier for them just to view plans. They said it was so they could match me up with the best plans according to my circumstance. I would think I could do that myself, as long as they posted the rules for each plan.

Double postOh and as of yesterday, 1 person had signed up in Deleware.

Someone should be fired over this, the contract with the vendor should be scrutinized and money taken back where appropriate, and we need to majorly overhaul procurement.Obama talked a big game about bringing more IT development in-house. At the very least this should have been bid out to more competent IT companies and not the usual government vendors. There is no excuse that we paid what we did for such poor results, someone needs to be fired.
10/18/2013 11:37:20 AM
I work for one of the government vendors, and even I hadn't heard of CGI before. We provide mostly services, and I don't think we do a lot of web development, but the usual vendors seem to do ok for the most part:Northrup GrummonAccentureCSCHPLockheed MartinThese companies have tons of government contracts - I'm not sure why the deal wasn't bid out to them, with their established track record. I guess where I'm going is, even though it looks like the vendor botched the project in such a retarded fashion as to be epic, we don't know what was going on behind the scenes between them and the gubment. One problem though, is that these contractors, while they are independent, still have to abide by government rules, regulations, and government employees. Things move slower than molasses in government - that's no secret, and it is very frustrating trying to get your project done when it is being help up by red tape.Anybody working in IT I'm sure can agree that they hate change management and change control, but it is a necessary evil. Try working with change management when you have a government official on the change board. Nothing gets done on time.[Edited on October 18, 2013 at 11:43 AM. Reason : ajdsl;]
10/18/2013 11:42:30 AM
^those vendors do not do okay, they have terrible track records. It's not an issue because of government rules, most procurement happens without little oversight and its been a problem since the Clinton administration. Floating specifications are a huge problem though.CGI bought Stanley Inc, which was a large government contractor. You may not have heard of CGI, but Stanley was a long history with government contracts.[Edited on October 18, 2013 at 11:51 AM. Reason : .]

Yea I called in to ask about doing an application over the phone. But the guy told me it would take 6 weeks to process. I then created another account so I could do another application. At first I was cruising along, but then it came grinding to a halt. Now I have two different accounts that don't work. This time it fucks up when I even try to set the number of people I am applying for coverage for. It can't detect that when I set my wife as my spouse when entering the family information, when I go to the tax information it thinks I need to select Somebody Else for my spouse. When you do that, it goes to hell in a handbasket.
10/22/2013 7:30:00 AM
So when are Obama or Sebelius going to step up and take the blame for this istead of blaming others? This is his signature achievement while in office. Be a leader, admit that it is not ready, take down the site, and start over if necessary.
10/22/2013 9:12:44 AM
why is it Obama's fault?
10/22/2013 9:16:20 AM
10/22/2013 9:24:29 AM
Not sure if anybody is really saying that it is Obama's, or Sebillius's fault. And the Apple example has been used before. If you are the CEO of Apple, and you don't write a single line of code, but put out something that doesn't work, or works but not well, you're going to get blamed. It is your ultimate responsibility. Take the Apple Maps app for example. The person in charge of that project got fired. Did he design the app? No. Did he do any of the coding that caused it to fail so hard? No. Did he get fired? Pretty much.
10/22/2013 9:40:55 AM

Obama needs to delay the mandate for a year. How the hell can you fine someone for not signing up when the site doesn't even allow you to
10/22/2013 10:44:18 AM
because you aren't required to use the exchange, there is a phone number, and we still have 71 days. If anything, the requirement should just be delayed a few months.
10/22/2013 10:48:19 AM
10/22/2013 12:47:49 PM
But the exchanges are going to save me $2500/year... So I'll wait on them
