I know it wasn't the greatest episode, but who else agrees that the audience sucked last night? Maybe too many teenagers, there for the One Direction performance, and they just didn't get it?

I don't get why everyone is so enthralled with Taran's speech critic character

Because the first one was fucking hilarious. His second appearance wasn't as funny, but still pretty good.

I thought the first one was good, but not as OMGAMAZEBALLS as most of my friends did. Still 10000000x better than Drunk Uncle or any of Kristen Wiig's recurring characters

I love me some Bill Brasky!

Made my wife watch it and she thought it was the dumbest thing she's ever seen. I tried to show her the other BB skits, but she declined.

I saw the first one and was watching SNL with someone that had missed it. After building the character up I found myself saying:

To backpedal.

I find it interesting that I really like one-liner factories (I loved whatever the fuck was happening in the diner with the Fleetwood Mac song), but I've never liked the Brasky sketches.

it was nice seeing the Brasky set/costumes, but the material was pretty meh

Rudd has been a great host, but it was a pretty average episode

I thought it was an above average episode. Paul Rudd was really good.

I thought the "White Christmas" was pretty hilarous. And I still like the speech critic. and Jacob's okay.

so this is kinda already widely assumed, but Seth Meyers was asked on the Dan Patrick Show today if he would be returning to SNL once he starts his late night gig, and he said that he cant envision himself working both jobs

John Goodman is hosting tonight? I didn't realize he had done anything relevant in years to deserve to host

John Goodman can always host!

But he's in that new Coen brothers movie, Inside Llewyn Davis. And he does that show for Amazon.

And Amazon has shows?

Yeah, they have like two original shows on their video service.

Goodman's in Alpha House. It's supposed to be pretty good, but I still haven't seen it.

I won the ticket lottery to go to last nights show but couldn't make it this weekend Oh well.

I thought the show was okay...not many laughs for me. Highlights were the court scene, the final skit in the bar, drunk uncle and Keenan's sign language. There were some good lines in three wise guys. Christmas whistle was annoying.

I love this cover so, so much:

http://youtu.be/1wS-k66MKgs

and they did it a few times while they were still in the cast. I remember seeing it live for the first time and it absolutely flooring me. just perfect.

There are at least three, because the did it again for a second holiday, and the intro to the third one was, "Lorne told us we can't sing the Christmas song any more. We have to sing a song about Memorial Day."

And then they sang the song in Hawaiian shirts with one of the lines changed to, "I don't care what Lorne Michaels say/Christmas is better than Memorial Day."

^ That's the one from 2011, because Horatio is skinny.

Interwebz says they've done it eight times, if you count Horatio + Muppets in 2004 and Fallon + Casablancas on Late Night in 2010.
