Yeah, I don't think it's Vogel. I just don't think it's Yates. Or at least don't want it to be Yates considering the way some things transpired.

I think its obvious there is more than one killer...my guess is a team of Jamie and Harrison

FYI for anyone who has Time Warner and isn't aware, they dropped Showtime.Edit: Just to be clear, it's because they're currently negotiating contracts and TWC doesn't like what the company that owns Showtime is asking for from them.I'm sure it will be resolved eventually... but perhaps not before this Sunday night. And Showtime gave them the option of continuing to provide Showtime (and CBS which is also owned by the same company) until they reach a deal, but TWC decided to just cut it.[Edited on August 3, 2013 at 10:48 AM. lol
8/3/2013 1:25:34 PM
i hope that TWC is offering monetary compensation for those people who pay for showtime
8/3/2013 2:48:07 PM
Since showtime is a line item, and not part of the whole cable package, one would assume the line item gets pro-rated
8/3/2013 2:59:47 PM
Yes, they've said they would pro-rate the services.
8/4/2013 2:25:21 PM
lol at paying for Showtime
8/4/2013 3:30:42 PM
lol Yvonne Strahovski wasn't able to watch it because she has TWC

Interesting. Hannah shows up but the previews for the next one give up that she doesn't do anything to Dexter or Deb and is somehow hiding behind her husband? Now he's going to apprentice the rich kid? You've gotta be kidding me. How many episodes are left? I don't feel like they're close to wrapping anything up at this point.
8/5/2013 10:44:43 AM
Deb didn't even flinch when Dexter told her he had a new intern
8/5/2013 11:25:25 AM
i wasn't really paying much attention, but i'm pretty sure one of them mentioned a lab, so i'm assuming she's thinking intern at work
8/5/2013 11:26:35 AM
also from the preview, it looks like the kid will start drawing attention to Dexter and he's already blown it with the neighbor chick it looks like. I'm hoping the kid plot doesn't pan out to anything and he dies soon, although if he gets caught he could easily roll over on Dexter. So now we have: Deb, Vogel, Hannah, the kid, and the Julia Stiles chick all knowing his dark secret. Loved this part:

So I guess "Zach" - Season 1 begins next year?It does seem this season is starting to get bogged down on new characters. They may be throwing too much at people for this to be the final season. Hard to see how they will wrap everything up without it feeling hurried or a big let down for at least some of the characters. And what was the point of Hannah poisoning Dexter and Debra if she wasn't going to do anything to them? Just to fuck with them and prove she can get to them at any time? Maybe Hannah will be Dexter's first lesson to Zach.
8/5/2013 7:20:57 PM
You guys are killing me with the preview spoilers sans spoiler tags. That said, taking this kid under his wing is pretty up there with the dumbest thing he's done. Killing him didn't seem like the brightest idea considering Quinn would know that Dexter would have seen him alive just before he went missing. But keeping him around is pretty crazy too considering Quinn is watching the kid, and would likely see him and Dexter interacting. They have too much going on with side characters imo. I guess we're only half way through the season, so plenty of time for things to happen. But all of these new characters AND bringing back an old character seems like a little much.I'm gonna be disappointed if the stuffed animal leads to Dexter's downfall.[Edited on August 5, 2013 at 10:14 PM. 8/5/2013 10:13:56 PM
Yeah, leave out the next episode preview stuff.I think the stuffed animal won't be his down fall, its just one more item that shows his sloppiness. Two people he let off his table, a stuffed animal, getting spotted by Quinn....[Edited on August 6, 2013 at 9:15 PM. Reason : .]
8/6/2013 9:13:20 PM
why doesn't he just give the stuffed animal a fucking haircut
8/6/2013 9:28:19 PM
He should put the caked on blood and stuffed animal fur under a new blood slide souvenir
8/6/2013 9:58:32 PM
now that I think about, didn't he have some stuff one season that ruined blood for testing purposes? If I'm recalling that correctly, he could just wash it with that stuff. He could also... wash it, bleach it, etc. so it's not so obviously stained with blood.
8/6/2013 10:15:57 PM
OK episode. The show really just needs to end.
8/12/2013 10:36:03 AM
at least they tied some things up and we got to see some tits. I'm actually a fan of Hannah, so if Dexter and her sail off into the sunset, I'd be cool with that. How the hell is she going to get away with it though? The first thing the cops would do is look at her cell phone records, whether they believe her alias or not, and tie it to Dexter. I think Deb's boss is going to find out about her and/or Dexter at some point though. Deb was looking crazy as hell when she saw Hannah so maybe it won't end that way because for it to be happy, he'd need Deb, the girl he loves (Hannah) and Harrison. This season is way more anticlimactic than I thought it would be. Maybe they should have just found a way to end with the Trinity killer or the Tom Hanks son killer.

^ what kind of disappoints me is that they had a pretty interesting set up with Vogel (effectively his creator) showing up. That was an interesting angle.I'm not surprised at all that Hannah is back. i sort of expected as much. And I like her as well, so that doesn't bother me. But now Vogel's involvement has really taken a back seat and isn't driving the story. There are still about 5hrs to go I think. But I'd like the tension to really ramp up. It just feels like another season of Dexter (which had gotten sort of bland) as opposed to a series ending season.[Edited on August 13, 2013 at 12:06 AM. Reason : p]

the writing has gotten crazy sloppy on this show.and I totally agree with others, this season has been extra lame so far for a season finale.
8/13/2013 2:32:44 PM
Agreed with previous 4 posts.
8/13/2013 7:26:34 PM
they're introducing a whole lot of shit for them to wrap it up in 5 episodes
8/14/2013 9:05:06 AM
Hannah is attractive.

and Australian irl
8/15/2013 11:17:15 AM
I'm only 15 minutes into the episode, but Dexter should somehow pit Hannah and Zach against each other]
8/19/2013 12:06:03 AM
so, yeah...shit got pretty real at the end
8/19/2013 10:42:26 AM
yupshit just hit the fan again
8/19/2013 1:13:04 PM
at least it got exciting. I don't know why Vogel would just out herself like that but very interesting indeed. I'm still a fan of the Dexter and Hannah sailing off into the sunset and now Deb is seemingly on board. They're really hinting at the notion that Dexter no longer needs to kill, or at least has urges stronger than killing now. I thought that when he questioned the kid about the murder, he just let it go without much further thought or explanation as to who killed his neighbor if it wasn't him. Do we have any idea? Quinn maybe trying to frame the rich kid, but that would be pretty out of character even for Quinn. What if Deb's boss gets too close to Hannah and Dexter has to take him out even if he's an innocent? Then kills himself? I've never considered a suicide scenario.
8/19/2013 1:30:03 PM
Man, I hope Deb's boss doesn't play a major role in the conclusion of this series. He's like barely introduced or developed--they just need to do one more thing to make him likable and then use him for death count. Otherwise, I'm wondering how they could make his involvement meaningful.

8/19/2013 9:20:46 PM
How the hell can it be Vogel?Didn't she get a phone call or text telling her to look outside (while she was home by herself so this would have been for the benefit of absolutely no one other than the audience) and saw two gift wrapped brain pieces outside her front door?If she ends up being the brain surgeon, then the writers should never work again.
8/19/2013 9:22:07 PM
I'm assuming its someone that's already been introduced that's not Vogel slight lean to Cassie's bf over the PI guy, mainly from when he was talking to Quinn probably tied to Vogel through the backstory she was hinting at during dinner[Edited on August 19, 2013 at 9:27 PM. Reason : .]
8/19/2013 9:24:08 PM
yep, I think she's definitely involved somehow. Just not as the primary.I'm guessing she tried to teach her son or something so she could study the brain and it backfired on her.
8/19/2013 9:32:47 PM
one other thing i was thinking about- something struck me about the music that was playing when Dexter came in to find the body, after i looked it up, i saw it was “Make Your Own Kind of Music” and that it was the 3rd time that song has played in a scene this season (first when the one guy was forced to suffocate the person at gun point by the real brain surgeon killer, second right before Vogel's apartment was broken into and she was kidnapped ), and it just happens to be the title of next weeks episode. The song is performed by "Mamma" Cass Eliot, I'm definitely thinking Vogel is the mother of the real killer, probably Cassie's boyfriend
8/19/2013 11:38:59 PM
^LOL, Dexter's gonna choke on a ham sandwich for the series finale.
8/19/2013 11:45:20 PM
ah, ok.. i thought the scene when she got the text happened when Dexter was there. Which would be a decent reason to fake a text. If she was alone, that wouldn't make any sense obviously. I just hate the idea of this being just another serial killer vs serial killer season. Vogel being involved would make it better imo.Whoever mentioned the guy dating Cassie (the neighbor), that is kind of interesting. Whoever is doing it obviously knows where Dexter lives. It's not unreasonable that he would have noticed and pursued Cassie to be near him/screw with him. And that guy definitely saw Zack/Zach with Dexter on the balcony, so that could be how he figured out that Zach was involved, if not for seeing him with Dexter elsewhere. And it would all make sense of why he told Quinn he didn't recognize him -- then again, maybe he really didn't recognize him.
8/19/2013 11:59:23 PM
I definitely think Vogel is involved / knows the serial killer, but there is no way its her. She's way too frail and physically weak to have been able to get away with all those kills. The guy that was dating Cassie is as good a suspect as anyone, but I have a feeling its gonna be someone we're not expecting. They threw us for quite a loop last episode, so who knows what to expect.
8/20/2013 12:31:31 AM
Saw this on another board, I don't think we've discussed this angle:
8/20/2013 11:18:09 AM
cassie was killed in such a way to frame Zach
8/20/2013 11:51:23 AM
This Hannah storyline is stupid. She tried to kill his sister, he sent her to jail, now they're friends again. Ok.
8/20/2013 12:13:44 PM
Plus that sex scene sucked. Dexter ass but no Hannah ass? That's that bullshit if you ask me.
8/20/2013 1:52:19 PM
Dexter doesn't even use condoms. He prevents pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases by laying poly out everywhere and making Hannah's box a miniature kill-room.
