It's a constant source of tension with me and my wife. Gotta be upwards of $600 a month.

I haven't purchased alcohol since the week of July 4th 2013. My husband has probably bought 3 BJs cases of beer since then. So...10 bucks a month tops.
5/29/2014 10:34:33 PM
wayyyyyy too much. May alone has completely rocked my spending account.
5/30/2014 8:11:43 AM
on average, $50-60/mth.
5/30/2014 8:34:44 AM
I'd estimate ~200-300
5/30/2014 8:39:39 AM
I need to go back to drinking PBR and Coors Light, buying $10-15 bombers and $20 12-packs on the regular gets expensive quick
5/30/2014 8:42:46 AM
$100-$200Fluctuates depending on how much I go out to do my drinking.
5/30/2014 9:15:31 AM
^^ that, and completely stop going to bars. Also, I need to stop being an alcoholic.
5/30/2014 9:22:16 AM
$200-$300 per month total for the wife and me
5/30/2014 9:31:28 AM
maybe $100? probably not even that much
5/30/2014 9:34:34 AM
i'll never stop going to bars. that much i know. but i guess this is why i have a job, to support these habits.
5/30/2014 9:40:11 AM
can vary a lot... mainly depends on if we end up getting a group together for http://www.10highclub.com/#!metalsome or not.if not, then $100-300, if so, then $300-600

I use Mint as a budget manager and every month looking at "Alcohol and Bars" depresses me.
5/30/2014 10:48:58 AM
i'm sure the average is under $50/mo.
5/30/2014 10:52:45 AM
i don't even want to think about my monthly alcohol budget.
5/30/2014 10:56:10 AM
Just for stuff purchased for the house it's around $60/week. Tough to say when calculating going out. I'll just say add another $60...because sometimes it's just a couple drinks at brunch...and sometime's it's going out a couple time and could be triple that. So we're looking at about $500/month. That doesn't include a big liquor run every couple months.

What's the multiplier for the months during football and basketball season? 7?

Lunch is the only time I blow the budget accidentally. Barely tipsy at noon with an $80 check for some random cafe. I think I'm just gonna carry handles of Skol everywhere I go. Write scathing Yelp reviews for any establishment that doesn't permit chugging giant purse vodka at the table.

$0.23. I'm allowed to drink once every three years.
5/30/2014 4:45:01 PM
Now? Pretty much zero. Years ago? Easily $500 a month
5/30/2014 5:00:04 PM
~$1000
5/30/2014 8:19:35 PM
We need to account for calorie offset here. The more beer you drink the less food you need to eat. They're practically the same thing.
5/30/2014 9:02:15 PM
Don't track it really. Guessing though about $40-$50 for home supply and maybe $30-$50 if we go out.
5/30/2014 9:14:22 PM
$0I used to spend about $200/month on weed and at least as much on cigarettes, incidentally, but even that's dwarfed by some of y'all's liquor expenditures. also incidentally, I quit smoking a couple months ago, and it hasn't really saved me any money. because now I just stuff my face with twice as much chicken and ice cream and so on.]

I don't really budget anything, and I don't really have an ongoing, regular habit of purchasing alcohol...i'm sure that it's $0-5 most months. Hell there are probably periods when I go for a month and don't consume any...although what's more common is that I drink a little, but I have enough stocked up at all times that I don't really have to buy any more. Maybe 2-3 months/year, I spend $20-50...and maybe one month every year or two, I find myself in some environment where I get ripshit drunk more than once in a relatively short period (over the last few years, it's been either stops along the way home from Iraq or Afghanistan, and one trip out to TOPGUN at Fallon, NV for a week or two), and then all bets are off.
6/1/2014 5:23:19 PM
I've spent $3 this year

also, alcohol is like currency in military aviation. my students are always giving me booze, because i'm often their favorite instructor.
6/1/2014 5:56:14 PM
When I'm drinking it is about 90-120 a month, now currently 0

Are you counting in this figure the amount spent on alcohol cabnits made or from somewhere else?
