It's been sixteen years of the same schtick with most of the same material. It's not surprising that it'd be tired.

I'm digging Steve Wilson's new album "The Raven That Refused To Sing". I am new to his work.

Beautiful Video

So is porcupine tree done?

The first SW album was good, but the newer ones suck- same with the new blackfield

I actually haven't heard the raven, I didn't realize it was even out. I kinda just assumed that was a pre-release track (I guess I assumed that for no reason) and I haven't listened to it yet.

i mean, i'm a huge phosphorescent fan, so i would say it's still 100% worth checking out. i just don't think it's as good as HTTIE, which i liked more than most

Mirrors is great. Pusher Love Girl is my favorite--performed at the grammy's and during jimmy fallon last week. I bought the album from Target to get the two bonus tracks (cd? wat?), and have been refraining from completing the iTunes purchase. Supposed to be here at the end of the day.

I hate to say it, but Justin Timberlake is just insanely talented. I wish I could hate the guy, but he makes really catchy music, can dance his ass off, is funny, and apparently can act a little bit too. Fucking guy.

^16-year-old me is devastated

the besnard lakes have been an extremely underrated band for a long time...no band does better at juxtaposing beach boys-esque harmonies against cinematic shoegaze. their last three albums (including the newest one) have all been phenomenal IMO

edit: also that new strokes record is a trainwreck. first two songs are decent and gave me hope, and then the album just drops off a cliff after that and gets worse and worse.

new Phosphorescent isn't bad. It's more an album i'd put on in the background while doing other things. I've been digging it through a few listens.

Dj Koze sounds like a trippier version of The Field.

And Ian Cohen is a motherfucker for giving Suuns a 5.0 because he thinks they sound like Clinic. I don't see it. Anyways, check out the album. It's good.
