I got into it a bit with Mike Eades as he was headed off the court for halftime yelling to explain the difference between a block and a charge after that awful call against Purvis. As soon as he came out of the tunnel for the second half he looked straight at me and gave me the signal for a block and I told him "now that's a block" and he gave me the signal for a charge and I told him "now that's a charge, you got it" and we both laughed as he headed onto the court.

Great game, definitely looks like we are improving as a team...something like 21 assists on 32 field goals?! And the non-assists were Leslie just being dominant on his own.

Interesting 1st half with Purvis running the point instead of Lewis coming in. I'm not against Gott trying that, but it's going to be boom or bust with Purvis handling the ball during ACC play...turnovers for sure, but a better lineup and someone who can blow by the defender for a score.

FWIW I'm not anti-Lewis like some people. He really needs to get in the weight room this off season and develop a decent jumper, and he can easily be a starting ACC pg by his junior year.

Great game and good crowd.

Vandy was the only real disappointment. Just horrid on the boards. Tyler Lewis gets better position for boards.

Not at all worried about Dick's game. Foul trouble on some chippy's all day long.

Lewis actually has a pretty nice pull-up jump shot inside the lane. The problem is he's usually too short, too weak, and too limited athletically to get separation from the defender, so he can't get the shot off. It's actually pretty troubling. Your point guard HAS to have the ability to beat his man more often than not. Lewis just can't do it right now. Hopefully that changes, but I just don't know.

Besides adding strength, what he really needs to do is work on his 3-point shot. That's really the only way I can see him being effective ... unless he grows a few inches before next year.

^^ agreed with most. I should've said "3-pointer" rather than "jumper". I just don't agree in being worried about him. He's a disappointment in terms of being a 5* recruit, but I think he'll be fine assuming he doesn't transfer due to lack of playing time this or next year.
