TreeTwista - " Don't mow your lawn at 8am on a Saturday because I like to sleep late, stop being an asshole.""But fuck all you immuno-compromised people, I'm not getting a flu shot, it's my right to do what I want, each man for himself."

consider yourself officially called out[Edited on October 29, 2014 at 8:28 PM. Reason : was there a you faggot at the end of that diatribe?]
10/29/2014 8:28:10 PM
^^I don't hang out with immuno-compromised people, therefore my lack of flu shot doesn't affect anyone else. If I did, I'm sure I'd have different thoughts about flu shots. But nice lawyer-logic.]

but you have been misinformed about how the flu vaccine works
10/29/2014 8:41:45 PM
I'm not opposed to learning more about it.But I also don't know if the question I asked earlier ITT about whether or not anyone had died from a flu shot has been answered. Has anyone ever died from a flu shot?I also seeing a difference in saying "hey, would you mind waiting until later in the day to mow your grass?" and "hey, would you mind injecting yourself with a small amount of this virus?"[Edited on October 29, 2014 at 8:52 PM. I'm sure someone with an egg allergy could die from the vaccine.[Edited on October 29, 2014 at 8:53 PM. Reason : And you could encounter a compromised person anywhere. Are you a hermit?]
10/29/2014 8:52:50 PM
If I had the flu, I'd probably be a relative hermit until I got better. When I'm healthy, I don't really consider the possibility of transmitting the flu to someone if I don't have the flu.

You can be a carrier for something and never show symptoms. Also -- totally your right not to get it. But it's a minor inconvenience. Much like switching your mowing schedule 26-52 days a year. ??

I usually didn't get a flu shot in my early to mid 20's... i too believed it would make me sick and usually I didn't get the flu anyway. but since I've realized i was just too lazy to get one because i didn't go to the doctor very often in general and it would have required an extra trip. Since i've been teaching (and then since i've had kids) I get a flu shot every year.

First time I've gotten the flu shot and only because of the baby. I had no issues.

On page 1 I said that I didnt get it (out of laziness, nothing more). In the last few years, I’ve been consistently getting the annual flu shot and plan to continue to do so.

There was a flu shot clinic on campus where you could register for a time slot to get one under a tent they had set up outside of Fountain. So, I combined my flu shot with early voting at Talley for some one-stop civic duty.

yes
12/10/2020 12:42:40 PM
Yes, and I will get the covid shot when it comes out. Fuck this, I want things back to normal. I want to be able to go to the gym without a mask on!

Yes, a few days ago. Arm was a bit sore for a few days but that's usual for me.
12/10/2020 3:42:11 PM
^I normally feel like I got punched in the arm or bumped into something for a few days after.

Same here, this year was my first time ever getting one
