Koren Robinson got a solid throat slash going in that GT game. Complete with Mike Patrick overreaction.

Are we 100 percent sure it didn't happen twice? I *know* it happened after the FSU game but I had thought they came down once more before the retractables were installed. (Twice more if you count ECU tearing them down )

They also got carried out of the stadium after the 98 home game vs Syracuse. My roommate broke his ankle in the process.

They came down on several occasions for decades, I'm pretty sure. I was at a game when I was ~12 and they came down then too.

"RALEIGH — An 30-23 overtime win against Georgia Tech sent Wolfpack fans into a frenzy at Carter Finley Stadium Thursday night.

Students carried the celebration, along with the goal posts, into the streets. However, the celebration came to a screeching halt when police ordered students to drop the goal post at the intersection of Hillsborough and Beryl Streets."

A picture of mine from a game where the goal post was taken down... It must have been fall 02. I used to have a good pic of me by the post. I'll have to keep looking

I used to give plasma at that shitty clinic across from that lutheran church.

Hanging out at that stupid hooka bar where the Starbucks was.

Watching the hurricanes win the Stanley cup at players retreat

^^we used to go to farmhouse all the damn time in grad school for their cheap pitchers (back when i could drink domestic swill *snort*)

we would play our own quarters game (made to enhance drinking time) and would get shitfaced and then order the junk plate (whatever that was called)

when they had bands there it was fun too... Old Habits was there once and I had a blast.

I lived on Maiden Lane my junior year, but moved off to Trailwood for my senior year. Wish I had ended up looking for a nicer place somewhere else near Hillsborough - only really visited Hillsborough regularly after I moved off of Maiden for PR, EV or Chipotle.

Maiden was fun apart from the homeless, lots of parties and the BT Mart that would sell you beer as long as you were the same race/sex as your ID. Used to know a guy who lived near us named James, we called him Flat Top. Huge black guy with a flat top haircut who used to walk down to the BT Mart boxing the air in front of him. Think his wife was the toothless white lady who used to tell people to smile all the time. Once developers started buying up those houses think he got forced out.

So I "lived" on Chamberlain for about a year while I was on a break from school in 2004. I crashed with friends from time to time when I was just around hanging out and taking a summer class.

The crack house across the street from 123 Chamberlain was a mystery. So many days spent watching them, trying to figure out what life was like on the other side of those sheets on the windows. Some days it was typical homeless Sadlacks regulars. Some days it would be Hispanic dudes in trucks. Some days it was white trash, Johnston County-looking girls. It was a party for all socioeconomic groups.
