^yea, it just bothered me the way skyfall ended, with the villain scanning over the graves and seeing monique bond and then going "oh wow, you have to be kidding me" and then walking into the church and going "of course, it HAD to be here" and then trying to make her kill both of them. just odd subpoints

^ Good postPeople ITT trying to cobble together timelines or complaining about unbelievable action sequences make me wonder if they've ever seen a Bond movie.Skyfall was solid, but dragged a bit at times. CR is still by far the best Daniel Craig movie. 7.3/10

if you think skyfall dragged a bit at times i don't see how you can not say the same about CR and call it by far the best. the ending/s of that movie dragged like none other.

^^^I read an interesting theory that each new Bond is actually supposed to be a different man, and that only the codename 007 and the name "James Bond" lives on. Each man either dies in the line of duty or retires. The codename 007/Bond is reserved for only the best agent but the enemies of MI6 (SPECTRE and various supervillains) don't know this, they only know that 007 is a legend not to be underestimated.

I had heard that theory and liked it. Unfortunately, it's no longer valid after this movie.

Saw it last night...definitely behind Casino Royale, but not by much. I thought it was hugely enjoyable. I love Craig's Bond because it is somewhat grounded in reality; I mean, you could at least believe this could be happening somewhere in the world, which adds to the thrill of the movie (at least it does for me). I really like that Skyfall at least addresses the lack of "the shadows" in terms of spywork in the modern technological age.

It's impossible to go back to the Brosnan films after this. Caught an hour of Tomorrow Never Dies the other night and it was hard to watch.

Because Skyfall goes with the story that Bond was just one guy, born in Scotland as James Bond. I guess you could always say he was the original and any subsequent 007 agents took the name.

Everyone ITT fails to realize that Brosnan's writers are also Craig's writers....Everything started to go downhill when the kids put themselves in charge of Cubby's empire...

^Not John Logan.

That doesn't change the fact that the invisible car guys wrote CR, which everyone is claiming is still better than SF

I love tomorrow never dies. World is not enough and die another day, not so much. I mean Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist and then an invisible Aston Martin and ice palace? Get the fuck out. Brosnan was a great bond though overall

i'd rank skyfall below goldeneye. its just not good. i dont give a fuck how gay you are for sam mendes, it doesnt excuse an incoherent plot

I miss Eva Greene's tits.

The intro was the best part of this movie.

Saw it tonight. Enjoyed it. I agree about parts being reminiscent of Home Alone and The Dark Knight

Watched it last night. The director wants to pull it back to the traditional Bond movie track. It's more traditional than the first two Daniel 007s. I like it. It's not as exciting as Casino Royal, but pretty special.
11/2/2013 8:12:38 PM
^ more traditional than THE original bond book by flemming eh?

At least they bring back the classic bond rhythm.
