I've tried sounding out smh for a while now and it isn't working. Shm I can do, but not smh.

My cousins: R and T have the same mother, but different fathers. T has two kids from different fathers. R just had a kid with his now-not-ex-but-recently-ex-girlfriend. And T, T's kids, R and my aunt all live in my deceased grandparents old house (they moved back in once my grandparents died because my grandparents kicked my aunt and her family out because she didn't help them around the house).

So, I've given up expecting anything better from them. What works for the mom works for the kids.

My parents had a slight problem with my grandparents because they would always show favoritism toward the messed up members. My dad and mom have been married for 38 years now. My older brother is married with two girls, I am married with two boys, and my younger sister is a school teacher who doesn't live with our folks.

I know plenty of women who have smoked while pregnant, but it was a fairly private, shameful thing.

I also know two people who are visibly affected by smoking/secondhand smoke in the womb and as children. One of them was getting real uppity about how disgusting it was that I smoked, and I was like, " It's not that bad." And he just started swinging his legs against the chair...it was the first time I noticed they didn't reach the floor and were about 30% too short for his torso. The other person was unaware...he was talking about how people were too strict about pregnancy and his mom partied all the time when she was pregnant and he turned out fine...while his feet dangled six inches from the floor.

AHA. Once I became aware of it, I started noticing people all over the place, but it's only the two that I confirmed were most likely a result of smoke/smoking.

And the first guy's mother didn't even smoke. She worked in a bar throughout the pregnancy. And secondhand smoke is just as bad if not worse for the fetus.
