3There ya go

chris meloni as negantotally not gonna happen, but would be awesome as hell
4/17/2014 8:40:32 AM
Kirkman said his "ideal" pick is currently Jon Hamm to play Negan, but I think he expects Hamm will be "too big" for the show by the time Negan shows up.
4/17/2014 8:48:18 AM
well amc did make him something out of nothing, so maybebut can hamm be a bad guy?
4/17/2014 9:08:53 AM
while flipping through the channels the other night, i was reminded that bob stookey plays the friendly place-kicker in The Waterboy.[Edited on April 17, 2014 at 11:56 AM. Reason : ]

Hamm did this little show, so anything is possiblehttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt2164430/but he will probably try to distance himself from AMC I think
4/17/2014 1:26:51 PM
im thinking its going to be some person we have never heard ofthat looks similar to someone famouslike Spartacus found a brad pitt looking guy for ceasar
4/20/2014 11:36:00 PM
I expected Negan to die one of the most gruesome deaths ever, but im guessing he will escape to cause trouble lateror they might visit him from time to time Hannibal stylehopefully the show kills him properly when the time comes
4/28/2014 8:58:01 AM
I'm reading them by Volume, so waiting for the next one to drop(August 5th). I guess I could just grab them free online, but I'll just wait for the physical copy.

If Terminus was suppose to replace The Hunters...I'm disappointed. The Hunters storyline was so much better.Though I do think showing the group locking the Terminus folks up and raping them and what not could definitely be an early shot at Negan's crew.Interesting little thing they threw in for the comic readers with Glenn almost getting hit with the bat. Really hope he eventually meets Lucille.
10/13/2014 11:08:21 AM
looks like Father Stokes coming in next week
10/13/2014 1:37:26 PM
Turns out the guy in the car that came out with all the crazy hair/beard was the same guy that was keeping the Terminus people locked up earlier. So doubtful that it had anything to do with Negan or his minions.Perhaps Father Gabriel means we'll still end up running into the Hunters later.

Saw the discussion in the other thread, but felt like I'd accidentally spoil something for someone if I posted too much.So Bob is definitely Dale, which is what I expected to happen IF we saw the Hunters this season. I'm glad they're doing this storyline, but I'm a little disappointed they morphed the backstory of The Hunters from the comics. I really thought the comics gave them such a dark/crazy past that it made them that much creepier/memorable. This is more of a revenge ordeal than "oh shit, those people are fucked up and ate their kids."Also after I saw this post in the other thread:
10/20/2014 8:30:41 AM
yeah it will be interesting to see which way they go with itI wonder if the end of the termites will be black silhouette, or if rick will line them up over a troughand instead of "not exactly" rick should say "nothing personal"
10/20/2014 9:27:43 AM
If they don't do "tainted meat", that's some damn bullshit. One of the very best moments in the comics
10/20/2014 4:04:58 PM
TAINTED MEATTAIIIINNNNNNNTEEEEDDDD MEAT
10/27/2014 8:31:29 AM
looks like the hunters are gone, they could have drawn that out a few more episodes, kinda disappointim thinking this whole beth thing will be a non-comic story element, kinda like the Spanish flumaybe the doc from the oath will show up
10/27/2014 11:19:20 AM
Was there actually anything to the tainted meat in the comic?
10/27/2014 3:44:13 PM
we don't know really, they all died too soon after eating itjust like the TV show
10/28/2014 7:05:08 AM
So in other words, no, there was nothing to it.
10/28/2014 7:22:06 AM
taint nothin to it.[Edited on October 28, 2014 at 8:19 AM. Reason : ]

I didn't see how they could really drag out the Hunters, it was a really brief storyline in the comics. Felt like they did the whole Terminus angle just to kind of give it a little more story.I thought the story of the Hunters from the comics was better, but never really saw that lasting more than 2-3 episodes without moving far too slow.Curious to see how the next few episodes play out. Will it be 1 episode of a flashback to Beth being abducted, then an episode of what led Daryl back to the church, or will we jump around with multiple story lines?Really wanted them to all just get on the damn bus and head for DC.
10/28/2014 9:17:20 AM
I have a feeling next week's episode will be what went on with Daryl and Carol concurrently with the hunters. And that'll include flashbacks with Beth and where she's been for the last few weeks.
10/28/2014 9:33:23 AM
I mean...if you REALLY want to know what happens next..you can always click here.http://www.wetpaint.com/walking-dead/articles/2014-10-25-season-5-where-carol-darylI know this is a spoiler thread, but this tells you what the next few episodes will be about, and if you click around, you can find out even more about what happens.
10/28/2014 10:34:44 AM
"We had walls."Nice foreshadowing to Alexandria.
11/3/2014 8:21:29 AM
Is this little "Where's Beth" thing anywhere in the comic?
11/3/2014 10:30:13 AM
^Nope. Beth is not a character in the comics, and this whole "hospital" storyline is no where to be found. Feel like since Carol is dead well before this point in the comics, and Daryl and Beth are no where to be found in the comics, they created this side story just to give them something.Personally hating it so far, but do like that they did drop one reference that might encourage our group to finally head North by the end of the season. Felt like they should have just kept the group together after the run in with the Hunters and moved on with the storyline from the comics.
11/3/2014 10:56:48 AM
As soon as Noah mentioned Richmond, VA, I was hoping for an Alexandria tie in. Moving forward, I assume Noah will join Rick's crew to go North, and lead them to Alexandria.
11/3/2014 11:13:54 AM
I just figured for this storyline, Alexandria = DC
11/3/2014 11:18:41 AM
If I remember correctly, they were going to DC in the comics as well, but Eugene got exposed on the way. I think Eugene had a radio he was using to communicate with DC, but it was really broken, and had been for a while, and it was finally found out he was lying and really a high school science teacher. It was shortly after this, they came across someone from Alexandria (Aaron?).However, there is no mention of this radio in the show, so idk how they are going to expose Eugene.
11/3/2014 11:26:19 AM
Alexandria happens on the way to DC
11/3/2014 11:26:59 AM
im surprised this hospital in Atlanta hasn't had a run in with the Vatos nursing home lolalso, lets talk about the fake "walkers" in DC, where the hell is that going I wonder?]
11/3/2014 11:28:19 AM
Are you talking about the Whisperers?
11/3/2014 11:43:57 AM
whatever the hell you want to call them, yeahthis thread needs to know them, and fear them
11/4/2014 9:00:00 AM
I don't see the TV show ever making it that far into the comics. In the comics, they first reach Alexandria in Volume 12 (#67-72). I don't see the TV show making it to Alexandria until the end of season 5 at the very earliest. They still need to resolve this Beth/hospital crap, expose Eugene, meetup with Morgan, possibly encounter a massive horde, possibly Maggie's attempted suicide, plus whatever else they make up.Since the Whisperers are not until comic #132 and 133 (end of Volume 22, beginning of Volume 23), the TV show will be on season 11 or 12, if it ever makes it that far. I would be very disappointed in the TV series ended before Negan, which is drawn out between Volumes 17-22, and is technically not 100% resolved yet. I can see the show calling it quits after the Negan war is done. With that said, the Whisperers might be the scariest concept of the whole series so far. I don't think they will make it an epic drama like the Saviors and Negan.
11/4/2014 11:37:43 AM
they said in some interview they "know where they want to be" for seasons 10,11,12if the show is making money then, it will get that far, if not, it wontright now its making a shitload of money
11/5/2014 12:26:29 PM
this isn't really a show that you can "end". I've wondered for a while now what the end game plan is for this show. It can't go on forever...no show ever has...and it will never catch up with the comic book...so i'm just wondering where its going.
11/5/2014 12:45:44 PM
I still feel a good ending point for the show would be the war between the Saviors and Rick. Even the comic did about a 3-4 year jump after this.[Edited on November 5, 2014 at 1:52 PM. Reason : ]
11/5/2014 1:52:38 PM
maybe they should pull an "x-files" and make all out war part 2 into a movie and release it in theatres between seasons lol (i thought it was a bad idea they way they did fight the future, but some people liked it)
11/6/2014 3:57:20 AM
Starting to think we may never get to Negan at this pace, haha. I enjoy that they've just picked up Season 7 and they're actually on the road(half the crew), but they're only 15 miles north of the church and haven't even made it to SC yet.Hopefully they'll jump some of the travel, ready for them to get back together and get to VA.I think the crew has definitely gotten too big at this point though, I expect some bodies to start dropping soon(Carol, Tyrese, Sasha would all be good candidates).
11/10/2014 8:52:08 AM
Is there something significant about the van? A couple folks in the tv show thread are acting like its a nod to something coming.
11/17/2014 8:04:41 AM
Not that I recall but I could be forgetting something.I think they were more or less pointing out how ridiculous/horrible the whole van landing on it's wheels off the flip was.Remember, the whole Beth/Daryl/Carol thing isn't in the comics, so most of this stuff doesn't have any direct ties to any of the stories/references from the comics.
11/17/2014 8:12:54 AM
Yea, but I was thinking maybe they tried to tie in some comic book elements. And I was thinking last night how impossible it would have been for that van to land on its wheels.
11/17/2014 8:21:04 AM
the van falling meant the dream was collapsingthat's what I took from it
11/17/2014 9:30:36 AM
^^Yes, 0% chance that van does a full flip and lands on it's wheels given the height of that bridge, angle it fell at, and lack of speed. Much more likely they nose-dive or land upside down.
11/17/2014 9:31:50 AM
^ but I assume you are good with the whole zombie apocalypse
11/17/2014 9:40:33 AM
^I mean when the premise of the show is a zombie apocalypse, I'm fine buying into that if I want to watch the show. The flipping the van thing just looked horrible and made no sense. Still not sure why they thought that was a great scene to add to this side-story. Pretty sure this side-story is going to end with one of the main crew dying, just wish they wouldn't take half a season to wrap it up.
11/17/2014 2:26:45 PM
what was the significance of that helicopter they saw in season 1 fly over atlanta
11/17/2014 7:43:20 PM
Liked the foreshadowing in the last episode. The radio broadcast talking about "Republic", "vigilante groups", etc. Then couldn't help but smile when Glen picked up the baseball bat. Not to mention it was clear that Richmond group was attacked by humans and not overrun by zombies.Hoping they'll make it to Alexandria(or the equivalent) by the end of the season.
2/10/2015 11:07:54 AM
Alexandria tonight!
