Clearly ABC just selected our game so that they can talk about Russell Wilson on national TV more.
9/28/2011 10:44:29 PM
i was at a wedding in NYC this past weekend and one of my friends, who i didn't even know cared about college football was like: "you like NCSU right?"... "so what happened with Russell Wilson"... "This Wisc-Neb game is gonna be EPIC this weekend!"
9/29/2011 6:22:48 AM
^ better than him saying "Why did you guys run off RW" like everyone else.
9/29/2011 6:58:29 AM
i'm actually looking forward to the wisconsin-nebraska game more than ours.

It showcases how much Russell mattered.

Dinich says it will be a close game this weekend. LOL. She says because we are playing at home and we will be playing with a purpose? LOLZ.Cato-Bishop and Gentry at DT? LOLZ.

So I saw that Sweezy is going to be playing, but Underwood is out. When is Green coming back. I thought he was supposed to only miss the first 4 games. Or are we redshirting him this year and putting all of our eggs in next year's basket?
9/29/2011 11:22:26 AM
^ I've heard the same thing about Moose redshirting, not sure where I heard it though...

PackFootball Out for Game: Ferguson, Greene, Manning, Payton, Rieskamp, Slay, Teal, C. Underwood, Wallace; Sweezy upgraded to questionable.RT @austin_johnson: The injury report now goes 10-deep, not including Lucas and Byrd. Five of those 10 are defensive linemen.[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 11:27 AM. Reason : first post updated]
9/29/2011 11:25:32 AM
WTF. Payton is out also? What happened to him? We are going to get raped.I hate to use injuries as an excuse, because there should be depth developed by year 5, but when starters from nearly every position are injured, that is a killer. At least in 2009 we were able to limit our injuries to the defense.
9/29/2011 11:32:00 AM
Ehh, if we're going to get raped anyway, I'd rather not risk injury to Sweezy unless he's definitely good to go. We could definitely use him, but it probably won't make much difference in the end
9/29/2011 11:51:22 AM
Also, holy shit that 4 of our top 5 DT's are hurt. That's just insane.
9/29/2011 11:52:38 AM
i dont care what kind of depth you build. when you lose 5 people on the dline, you arent gonna have any depth.
9/29/2011 11:53:17 AM
yeah, we should have depth by year 5, blah blah. The thing is, we HAVE depth. The problem is, our depth is getting injured too.
9/29/2011 11:56:09 AM
So who's going to be backing up Washington?[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 12:11 PM. Reason : Barnes? Creecy? Haynes?]
9/29/2011 12:00:28 PM
This L aint just dancing its struttin
9/29/2011 12:05:08 PM
^^Creecy, most likely
9/29/2011 12:37:54 PM
Is there any truth to this Taylor Gentry at DT rumor?
9/29/2011 12:41:56 PM
can't we take the redshirts off of a few players??Out for Game: Ferguson, Greene, Manning, Payton, Rieskamp, Slay, Teal, C. Underwood, Wallace; Sweezy upgraded to questionabl[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 12:48 PM. Reason : tweet from PackFootball]

from PP, shows starters
9/29/2011 1:01:46 PM
What the hell Underwood is out? did that happen in the game (i admit i turn the channel with that ass whomp whomp) Dean Hayes back to running back?what the hell happen to Branden Barnes?I guess Tony Creecy will get a lot of reps.
9/29/2011 1:08:16 PM
this has got to be a strength and conditioning problemI've never seen players, AT THE SAME POSITIONS, year end and year out, always continue to get hurt. TOB has had this problem every year but last year.seriously, what the hell else could it be?[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 1:11 PM. Reason : .]
9/29/2011 1:10:38 PM
We must just recruit pussies that all i can think of. brittle bone pussies!
9/29/2011 1:14:27 PM
ok well that's completely ignorantTodd Rice is our director of Strength and Conditioning and has been for the last 5 years.http://www.gopack.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/rice_todd00.htmlI don't see how it can be put on anyone else besides TOB for keeping this guy around. He obviously IS NOT DOING SOMETHING RIGHT.[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 1:18 PM. Reason : .]

It is way beyond coincidence. 4 out of 5 years is no longer coincidence.

9/29/2011 1:31:11 PM
2 years ago people were talking about the S&C coach, the shoes, the field. Maybe it's technique?BC has an artificial field be we need that. who is responsible for taping the players up before games? maybe they are not taping ankles and setting the knee braces up correctly. Also, I thought we had a new director of Strength and conditions (not football all sports) or something like that?

just for my knowledge, what does strength and conditioning have to do with injuries?
9/29/2011 1:58:50 PM
primarily, strength and conditioning.
9/29/2011 2:04:42 PM
Of the 12 guys on the injury report, 7 were injured in practice.[Edited on September 29, 2011 at 2:04 PM. Reason : ]
no girls in the game thread this week? wtf, mate?oh, and let's not forget this:
9/29/2011 2:05:39 PM
Compare it to lifting too much weight with improper form and causing yourself injury (like I did recently when I tried to squat too much and hurt my knee). These guys are either not getting their reps in in the weight room to reduce injury, not stretching enough, not playing with the right technique or something like that. It can't just be a coincidence.
9/29/2011 2:06:31 PM
they're either not being worked hard enough by S&C, thus getting injured in mundane practice and game situationsORthey're being worked too hard, thus practices end up as taxing as games, and more injuries result because of it.either way, it's a coaching problem.
9/29/2011 2:08:02 PM
no worries about winning this game ... TOB said he was going to "coach'em up" so its all good right?
9/29/2011 2:10:31 PM
We've had a horrible track record with S&C coaches lately. Take Richard Howell for instance. I think the bball S&C coach got replaced and Howell has dropped a ton of weight. From what I can tell there are people on this board who could probably do a better job tightening these weak, slow, and fat players up.
9/29/2011 2:12:54 PM
any GT women in skimpy clothes?
9/29/2011 2:18:30 PM
9/29/2011 2:25:54 PM
Under Lowe, none of our players ever got stronger. That just seemed to get fatter or stay the same. Maybe State does have some kind of greater S&C issues that plagues the entire athletic department. We need some HGH and more performance enhancing weed.
